Make sure it's the one you need

I selected the connectivity that I needed, which was "Wired". When shopping this product at any other site, that is the option listed, as well as the product offered. I wasn't until I received the shipment notification that I saw the word "Plug-in". I panicked because that wasn't what I ordered, went to the website, and found "Plug-in" wasn't even a connectivity option. I do realize now that the photo shows a plug wire, and the product description states Plug-in. Other retailers (including the Ring website) show the 4 options as Battery, Wired, Plug-in, & Solar, so it was just really frustrating that the research I had done to purchase this product turned out to be useless on this website. It's very misleading and turned out to be a waste of time and drive to the store to return.

Wifi issues

I bought a spotlight cam plus at the same time and they were both in front of the house, same distance from my wireless router and the plus never disconnected. I returned the pro & got another spotlight plus to replace it, installed in the same place and have not had an issues with the plus disconnecting at all.

It sounds like the device is not operating as intended. Spotlight Cam Pro is an outdoor security camera that includes advanced video, audio, connectivity, and motion detection features. The product provides outdoor coverage for common blind spot areas in clear HDR. Usually, devices falling offline repeatedly is related to poor wifi connectivity caused by signal fluctuations, channel congestion, or data loss.
To determine whether or not the problem is caused by poor upload speed, run a speed test to determine if your network can support Ring devices. Ring devices with 1080p video require at least 1 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. In edition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device.
A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the "Device Health" section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.
If your networking equipment hasn’t been power cycled in a while, try unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in. Wireless networks utilize different channels for communication. In the United States, the 2.4 GHz band uses channels 1-11 and the 5 GHz band uses channels 36-165.

Follow these steps to adjust your "Motion Zones":
1. Open the Ring app.
2. Tap on the menu (☰).
3. Tap on "Devices."
4. Tap on your camera.

6. Tap "Edit Motion Zones."
7. Set your zones and motion range to your preferred area(s).
8. Tap "Done."
9. Tap "Save."

Being able to save, download, and review footage captured by your Ring Spotlight Cam Pro is a valuable feature of the Ring Protect Plan. We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.
It sounds like there was some confusion regarding the functionality of your device with and without a Ring Protect Plan. The Ring Protect Plan is a subscription that gives you access to paid features for Ring devices. With a Ring Protect Plan, you can save, review, and share video recordings from your Ring devices to your Ring account.
Without a Ring Protect Plan, you can still view real-time video for Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events.

Thank you for sharing your experience. If your Spotlight Cam Pro Plug-In has become unresponsive, try giving it a reboot by pressing and holding the setup button on it for 20–25 seconds. If it is still unresponsive, you will want to verify that the outlet it is connected to is still working and providing power. These steps should help with your concern.
