Great Sound and Comfort with Some Audio Flaws
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The audio quality for games is great and the ear pads are super comfortable and breathable. I play a lot of apex legends so these definitely help in those intense situations. The battery life on them is good for wireless gaming headset but honestly they need to be charged pretty often. My favorite part about these is the dual connection so I can play fifa or other games with my own music on in the background. Music actually sounds pretty great in these too! My biggest annoyance is the wireless connection issues. Within a couple of weeks I was getting audio cut outs while playing any game. I searched online for more info and learned it has to do with wireless interference from other devices. That’s a pretty big flaw especially now that most of our tech is wireless. I reset them and the probably has gone away for the most part but every couple of days I do get some audio cut outs. Overall I really do like these and would recommend them.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great headset with good mic, although, if you live in an apartment complex or similar, you probably should avoid it, because if it's in close proximity to a lot internet connections. It may cause interference with the audio causing it to be choppy/crackling. If you can get it on sale, I recommend it.

Headphones
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had these for years great products only weird thing is they turn off sometimes randomly when they first connect and when I connect them to my console and laptop they disconnect but 98% of the time they are fine great dual audio headphones and they work connected to anything with Bluetooth

Good headset just some weak points
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The mounting piece between the headset and the earmuff broke causing it to come apart and only be held together by the cord. I’ve had these since last September and feel like for the price that is not long enough. Kind of sucks but was good while it lasted.

Great simultaneous Game sound and bluetooth music
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the fact that I can listen to my favorite music from my iphone while I play Call of Duty and I can hear the game sounds and even the chat from my friends. I can even adjust the sounds independently for both game, chat and Bluetooth.

Excellent headset but not perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had the SteelSeries Arctis 9X for about a month now. It’s the best headset I’ve owned (upgraded from Logitech Artemis G633). I was sick of wired headsets and wanted to switch it up. I was afraid of the battery on a wireless headset dying a lot and not being able to game because of it, but the battery life of the SteelSeries 9X is excellent. The noice cancellation is great and the stereo surround sound is 10/10. It is very sturdy and durable with its metal construction. The ear cups fit over my ears so they’re very comfortable and the elastic band eases the weight of the headphones on your head. The only issue I’ve had with it, and this could just be a special case or something else on my end, but I have had it randomly disconnect from my Xbox mid-game. It will say not microphone found. It’s been frustrating but it doesn’t happen constantly just something that stands out and this is why I gave it 4 stars.

Pretty Nice - Not Awesome
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Much better than my previous headset. My expectations were high given the cost of the unit. I am a bit disappointed. What I like: - Direct connection to the Xbox. My previous headset 'broke' when the headset connection to the Xbox controller mucked up and I would lose sound in one ear and have other problems. The direct connection totally prevents that. - Sound quality. I'm not an audiophile, but it does appear to be premium quality. I tried the headset with Dolby Atmos and there was no discernible difference between it and the Windows Sonic sound. - Super comfortable on head and ears, albeit a bit warm after awhile. - OK noise canceling - I can still hear things in the room but if the wife or kids come in the room - I can at least recognize they're trying to talk to me. - Battery life seems reasonable. - Mute is easier to turn on/off than prior headset - tactile-wise it's a big button and a light on the mic informs you of status. What I don't like: - Not a huge issue, but I did experience some of the connection problems that others have noted in their reviews. You have to hold the on/off button for a really long time to turn the unit on. (3 vs. 5 seconds seems like an eternity sometimes). At one point, the headphones connected via bluetooth to my computer instead of the Xbox like I wanted. - Also related to the above are the twin volume buttons to control in-game speech and in-game volume. They do move really easy and if you rank those up - it will make you think you're not connected. - What I really miss is the ability to hear myself in the speaker. The feature DOES exist - it's just very faint. I had to set it to max via PC connection. The left wheel controls volume of chat vs. game but muting one or the other as you turn the wheel. It does have a good tactile mark for 'middle' - however if you aren't paying attention you may lose chat with friends unknowingly. - Need to update to PC (no native way to control headphones via Xbox that I have found) To mess with some of the premium features, you have to connect via PC. There is no native app in Xbox to conduct this. For $250, that seems like a reasonable thing to ask for - especially if you primarily use a Mac (and along the lines of a Mac - the update software wouldn't work via a USB-C to USB 3.0 adapter - so I had to bust out a PC).

It can’t be that hard to make a good headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pro’s All metal construction, Lighter than Astro A50s(surprisingly), Bluetooth(A50s don’t have it), comfortable, good sound, less expensive than Astros Cons Line of sight connectivity(ANNOYING!), less programmable and no phone APP so it’s PC only to make changes, Chat mic is uber sensitive and pics up everything(this may be adjustable on a PC) Turtle Beach and Astro flagship headsets have proved lacking in durability, hoping for the best on the Steelseries Actis line

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being new to the Xbox world, I decided to go for a quality headset to see what they might be like. This headset has great sound quality and are very comfortable. The battery life is quite good and the only problem I ran into is with the connection. This doesn't cause me trouble often, but every once in a while I may get disconnected. One of the best parts about this headset is the Bluetooth feature. I love being able to listen to my music while gaming or just moving around the house.

Good sound quality but suffers connection wise
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like these headphones. The quality of the build is very nice but do be careful with the ear cups as my initial pair snapped when they fell a few times. The sound quality is fantastic for playing games and the microphone quality is top notch. I don’t deal with the echos that a lot of my friends less expensive gaming headphones deal with. There’s even an EQ you can download if you want to customize the presets (there’s 4). The bonus is Bluetooth that works well and allows music from my phone why playing. The chat mixer dial is also a plus. The biggest issue I have is that the connection to the Xbox itself can run into issues. These headphones use the same proprietary Xbox wireless connection that the Xbox remotes do. Occasionally I run into issues with drops in the audio or not connecting at all. This leads to having to turn them on and off a few times before the issue stops. I have read that this comes from interference from things using 2.4Ghz frequency that the Xbox uses so try to shut off or distance your other electronics Using this frequency from you Xbox and where you sit in order to minimize this issue. This does include routers, which I myself had to move farther from my Xbox in order to solve this issue although it does pop up now and again. Also the battery life while good will cause connection issues as well so keep track of it. One good thing is that you can still use the headphones while it is charging via the micro USB connection as long as you don’t mind having the wire attached. Overall I say that the small snags do not detract from what is a pretty great pair of headphones if you’re willing to fork over the $200. I have converted some of my friends over from their old headphones when they tried mine out.

Great sound but it has issues.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok so I first bought Astro a50’s didn’t like the way they felt on my head way to heavy and tight so I went with these, used them for a few days with absolutely no issues and then the sound started to go in and out almost like the game was lagging. I started to move around close by devices and mess with my nighthawk router and nothing seemed to fix the issue. I also noticed the headphones would turn off on their own every now and then. As far as sound quality goes I used these with Dolby atmos enabled and they sound pretty good as far as being able to tell where the Enemies footsteps are coming from. I would have to say the overall volume is pretty low compared to the Astro a50’s and there is little to no bass at all with these. They are comfortable for my big head the ski goggle strap helps and they are lightweight. Ps. I used these with my Xbox one X Pro. Good sound Comfort Bluetooth Build quality Ease of use Cons. Low volume Little to no bass Connectivity issues Button placement No virtual surround sound

Great Balanced Sound and Comfortable Quality Desig
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used this headset on my Xbox console be the One X and the Series X for the past 2 and a half years with minor issues that tainted the experience of owning the SteelSeries 9X Xbox only with Bluetooth gaming headset, but those experiences were not enough for me to not recommend this headset to anyone looking for a high quality, really comfortable, high quality sound output headset. The Mic on this headset is good, not studio good, but really good for Xbox Live Party Chat or Bluetooth calls that you get to do when you connect this headset to your smartphone. You can use Discord on Xbox soon, but with this headset as long as you keep it updated you will not have issues with Discord calls over the bluetooth connection which I mention keep it updated by connecting it to your PC or Mac cause if you don't you will end up like me having horrible Bluetooth connection and using Discord becomes impossible thru that method. I also have had random disconnects from the Xbox Series X at first, but Xbox seems to have become more stable with the updates that came out cause I have not have had any connection issues in the last 4-6 months of 2022. The battery is still great and even 2 years in the ear cups are good and they are interchangeable like AirPods Max, but without the magnets of course. I cleaned it once a month and ever since I got them they are still comfortable as day one. My favorite part of this headset is that even though it doesn't offer a mobile app like a Turtle Beach 700 Gen 2 it sounds more balanced and yes FPS games the Turtle Beach headset can sound better for footsteps not much better to warrant giving up the comfort and quality of the whole package. For gamers that are hardcore for competitive as much as they are for single player experiences I highly recommend this product for its comfortable design and great balanced high quality sound design. I would not wear these for anything that is not gaming however as I wouldn't with any other gaming headset. For those times when gaming is not the focus I use my AirPods Max instead.

Solid set of headphones
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They are almost the best wireless gaming headset. I wish there were more options for adaptability and customizing it to fit any type of head. Pretty much it's the elastic band inside that adjusts to your head type, but wish you could pull out and adjust like most all over the ear headphones. Regardless, it's very comfortable and can stand it for hours. The mic is awesome and it's easy to connect to most anything because of it's blue tooth capabilities. Sound is good. Again just wish you could go to higher volumes. Battery life is great. I have also been using this to connect to lap top and do zoom calls for work. This is how I was able to convince my wife I needed to buy these.

Good headset for Xbox
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great fit and comfort. Sound quality in game sounds accurate but the headset seems incapable of producing much bass sound. Tweaked with the settings to no avail - vocals and highs sound great when listening to music though. Retractable mic is a nice feature. Also nice that it can connect to bluetooth and wireless simultaneously although pairing seems to be an issue at times when switching between devices.

Sounds amazing!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these because a co-worker recommended them. I can hear the footsteps of opposite players while playing COD. They really boom and they’re comfortable for hours of game play and the battery life lasts awhile. I do have some connection issues if I don’t right away turn them on the second I turn my Xbox on and I won’t be able to hear teammates so I have to turn them off and on and then they work fine after that.
