Customers are saying

Customers value the Rival 3's RGB lighting, affordable price, and ease of use. Many appreciate its lightweight design and responsive performance for gaming, although some find the size slightly small and the side buttons less than ideal. Positive feedback also highlights the customizable software. A few users reported issues with the scroll wheel and cord.

For $30 this mouse is pretty outstanding. The sensor is great, it's pretty lightweight, and the lighting will get really bright if you want it to. A couple downsides is that the mouse is on the smaller side, so palm grip will only work for people with smaller hands, and there is no rubberized grip on the sides of the mouse. But for $30 those shortcomings are understandable. Would recommend.

First of all i'm not what you call a gamer. I bought this for the way it looked with the different color lights(RGB). The mouse looks nice and works like a mouse is suppose to work. The only problem I had with the mouse is it is a little small for my liking I have a large hand and the mouse is a little on the smaller size. The mouse lights are nice and customizable and the software is very nice.

If it was a tad smaller it would be okay . I have a hard time getting my fingers all the way up to where my fingers feel comfortable it could be because I have small fingers but other then that lights are cool and it a pretty smooth .

This mouse works great, It was automatically recognised by the steelseries engine on both mac and win. I like the adjustable dpi settings, for different games. It is fairly light, but enough weight to feel solid. I use a claw grip and its comfortable, but if your a palm gripper, it may be too small for you.

Good Gaming Mouse, very adjustable, very responsive. Could be a bit larger, but I have large hands. It's still pretty comfortable. Hopefully it will last.

Cool mouse with nice RGB lighting, however it feels pretty small for my hands. The mouse just feels smaller than your average gaming mouse which can be uncomfortable. I don't have large hands either lol, but noticed this felt a bit smaller than any other mice I have used in recent memory. Other than that it is solid.

Love the DPI, accuracy and the feel of this mouse! Might be a tad small for people with big hands but seriously a dependable mouse for FPS games!! Worth the price and competitive to other, more expensive mouses out there!!!

I have 19x10.5 hands. Mouse is good for fingertip grip. Sensor placement is a little low so it makes your sensitivity feel faster. I prefer a bigger mouse though.

I love this mouse. I have a few mice that I have tried and own. 2 that are similar that I own is a wireless Logitech G305, and a fnatic clutch 2 wired mouse. the fnatic one is 50$ while the G305 is 60$. this mouse is 30$. so just within these mice, this one performs just like the others. the cord is long enough to go to a desktop. its not braided though but that's it not a big deal for me. they all are the same size, on the smaller size with I like. big hands, you would have to claw grip. I am used to that so its not a big deal to me. now for a few more of the mice I own. I also have a G502 and a G604. the G604 is wireless with 6 side buttons, while the 502 is wired and has 3 side buttons. the 604 is 100$ while at the moment the 502 is 50$. a couple things, the dpi/cpi only goes up to 8500. most other mice like the ones I mention go to 12000 or more. like I mentioned the cord does not bother me, but for some maybe. its not braided. The RGB lighting is great but its only 3 sections, one of those sections also includes the logo. and the middle section is very thin compared to the others. I would have loved to see the logo on its own. and like the cord, the size. I don't mind but if you are looking for a bigger mouse then this is not it. Lastly that I can think of is the side buttons are thin. kinda hard to feel and press. they don't stick out far and I find them a bit hard to press in because of this. my thumb is fat so I feel I hit the side of the mouse and have to press to use the buttons. I would have liked them to stick out a bit more so you can easily feel them as well as press them without hitting the side of the mouse. some nice things. although the RGB I feel could have added a separate for the logo, its still pretty nice. most mice that I have only lets you do the logo if that. so at least you get some nice color if you want. it also can be set to react to discord. so it will change colors if you set it to different things with discord like if you get a notification, or someone talks etc. I have this on my keyboard and it can be nice if you get discord and playing with some guys you don't normally play with. so it will light up with who speaks. not needed but its nice. the mouse feels great, moves smoothly over my cloth mouse pad. easy to press the right and left. like i said though, the side buttons can take getting used to. but overall for 30$. I find it a great gaming mouse compared to others out there. I would recommend this if you don't have a lot of money and looking at wanting a nice gaming mouse. if you have a little extra money though, I would recommend the G502 mouse. has a few extra buttons that do help out.

Very Good Mouse, But With Caveats

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

PROS: 1. Low, low price! 2. Very nice side buttons. Easy to press, but will never have an accidental press. 3. Excellent lighting. Easy to program with many different options. 4. SteelSeries GG is a great software for mouse control, and will work especially well if you have a SteelSeries keyboard. 5. Very light. 6. Nice soft touch surfaces on the entire mouse, buttons, and scroll wheel. 7. Moves very smoothly thanks to the PTFE feet. 8. Scrolling is AMAZING! Texturing makes for a great feel and the scrolling sensation is great. CONS: 1. Small size. 2. Made for claw and fingertip grips, but as a palm grip user it is very usable if you have smaller hands. Would not recommend to a palm-grip user with medium to large hands. Overall, an excellent value though. Would recommend to any fingertip or claw user or a palm grip user with smaller hands.

This is a very good gaming RGB mouse. It is very responsive and has a nice feel from the texture and buttons. The only thing is I felt it was a little small for it to feel exactly natural. If you really like this brand then this would be a great beginner gaming mouse. I did think it could have had a braided cord but otherwise it was really nice. I think the RGB is actually one of the best implementations I have seen. The colors and software are both great. I would recommend this mouse for gamers especially whom like this brand.

This mouse works like a charm. No problems right out of the box and the program to run all the extra features downloaded quickly and installed without any problems. So far the macros I've put in work like the should. I also like that the mouse is not too bulky. Some mice that are gaming mice get large and unwieldy. My only complaint is that the program for the custom light patterns you can set up isn't very intuitive. While I got something I like, its got some quirkiness about the patterns and the colors both aren't very distinct and don't match the colors on in the program very well so it takes a bit of experimentation to get the design you want. That being said, my daughter had a lot of fun playing with it and trying to make cool patterns.
