Crystal Clear
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I may have done injustice by only giving 4 stars, but I have had a bit of trouble autofocusing at varying distances. In the past I have had to get familiar with lenses and how they focus so this could be the same situation. I have also heard that macros are basically manual up close even if they have autofocus (this is what I've seen; it's hard to autofocus up close). Despite that, the images are crisp and its a joy to use in plenty of light. I may amend this if I get a better feel for it.

AMAZING LENS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Tamron 90mm 2.8 macro is simply amazing. I had the gen 1 but the gen 2 outdoes it by miles !!!! I would recommend this lens to anyone who is looking for a great macro/portrait lens !

Excellent for Photography- Not Suitable for Videos
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Photography: 5/5 Pros- Build quality is amazing. VC helps a lot. Very sharp pictures Lovely Bokeh Price- Value ratio is pretty good Cons- No Constant aperture throughout the Focus. Auto focusing goes for a toss (You have to adjust the focus range button every time) No Manual aperture ring. Videography: 1/5 Doesn't even consider this lens for videos. Cons- No constant aperture through out the focus. No manual aperture ring. Heavy breathing effect. If you try focus pulling... your frame changes due to breathing. Not every camera can adjust the Aperture (Ex: Red Scarlet-X with nikon mount). So with few cameras you can use this lens. Vignetting and chromatic aberration are negligible. Yeah... way better than 'AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED' for its price and value. I hope this is helpful.
