Flight stick and buttons are ok. The throttle is absolutely garbage. There is no tension at all it falls all the way forward or all the way backwards with a little stop in the middle. I would wait for something better or go PC because these are ok at best.

I've got a very complex racing wheel and pedal set for my Oculus system, but when I picked up Star Wars Squadrons for my Xbox, I wouldn't even play it since controlling with the Xbox controller was awful. And of course thanks to Microsoft's Flight Sim, HOTAS units were impossible to find forever. I was randomly checking a few places every week or so and was fortunate enough to catch one in stock here at Best Buy, so I snagged it right away. The length of the cord isn't that great, but fortunately I had a USB extension cable from my first Oculus headset, allowing me to get a decent distance from my TV. Fired up the game, and this made ALL the difference. It went from annoying to enjoyable instantly. Not sure how many people would play with the thrust and flight control sticks connected, but that would work. However there's enough cord to separate them and get them comfortably distanced from each other. For me, the bonus is that this is natively recognized by the game so I can SEE what buttons will do what, I didn't have to remap controls or anything. I wish there was a bit more resistance on the throttle stick, but for this price, I'm pleased that it's responsive and works. Buttons are for the most part placed well, just some muscle memory now to train as I start to use it. All in all, for this price, it's light years beyond using the controllers that come with a game system. Definitely NOT worth the scalp prices you find them online, but if you wait like I did and snag it at retail price it's worth it.

The unit is connected to my Series 1. My only niddling complaint is about the USB cable that comes with the unit. To short! This should be a 10 ft cable not what comes with the stick. I purchased an addition 6ft extension cable. No issues. Since this is my first flight stick I can’t really compare to others. The throttle off of the mid detention position seems a bit loose and I could see speeds drifting but it still early in my usage so that hasn’t affected my usage. Wish there was an adjustment as can be made on the stick. Ordering and delivery via UPS was fine.

This flight stick is a must have for the price point. Controller has plenty of accessible buttons to assist in almost any flying sim or game. My only complaint is there needs to be more resistance on the throttle input lever or an adjuster. Throttle moves way to easy and doesn't feel real.

I love this thing. Got used to the button placement really fast. Only downside really besides being all plastic (anything else is over $250) is that the throttle does not have any resistance. There are solutions out there to work around this and it's not a huge deal because it works perfectly without resistance but if you want that real throttle stimulation feel then it might bother you. Listen to this this thing is $90... Huge discount from spending $250 or more and it's well worth it.

Very nice joystick stick with adjustable friction lock. Nice throttle BUT woth no friction lock. Way to easy to move. Wiping the pivot of the throttleto remove some of the lubricant helps but still to easy to move. Exp;orimg other means of stiffening up the throttle.

I have been using the Hotas One over the summer to primarily play Elite Dangerous and Ace Combat, and it has launched the gameplay experience of both of those titles into the stratosphere. There are a few kinks that could be worked out to make it better (the throttle does not feel natural because the resistance is a very light) but overall it was a wonderful purchase.

Great for MS Flight Sim. While not entirely a must, definately helps with making things easier to control. On a side note, the throttle has a mid detent but loose besides that. It works well but has no resistance. It would have been nice if it had some resistance. Not a deal breaker but something to consider.

It works as good as expected and is overall a 4.5 star product. But that half star i didn't add is from the tension in the throttle or whatever is holding it being rather weak making it hard to be precise on the throttle and it falling to zero throttle easily.

purchased for use with Xbox X. Much better to use for Flight Simulator than the standard controller. The throttle could have a little more tension as it can fall forward under its own weight.

On the outset the joystick 'system' is good value for money. However, in practice, the throttle is so loose that it simply falls forward due to gravity if you have the throttle setting more than 65%. The joystick has a resistance setting on the base, but the maximum setting is wholly inadequate. Imagine you're playing DCS World, and you're trying to perform air-to-air refueling. All is going well until you realize you're running about 5 knots too slow to hold station with the tanker, so you nudge the throttle forward. Suddenly, it flops forward under its own weight and the afterburners ignite instantly. The next thing you know you've collided with the tanker and its mission-over. The joystick is also far too slack, even on maximum resistance settings to be useful as a precision joystick. If you're looking for something cheap to appease the children for a couple of weeks, purchase this. If you're looking for a companion to accompany you through your voyage into flight sims - look elsewhere.

The stick works pretty well, however the throttle needs more inertia / stiction to feel more substantial. Software worked as designed. I get some drop-outs of throttle functionality during MS Flight Simulator, which might be a bug with MSFS or with this throttle setup.

Two flaws made me return this item. First, the throttle is so loose that if you go more than 75% forward or 75% back, it will not hold its position. It just flops all the way to 100%. Looking at all the reviews, it seems as though this may be an issue with only some throttles, but if you get one you are out of luck. Second, the buttons are mapped such that the unit will not work with the menus in Microsoft Flight Simulator. You have to use the Xbox controller to make your menu choices, then use the Thrustmaster to fly the plane. Five stars to Best Buy customer service. I was able to return the item to the nearest store with no problems.
