I put it in the mud room to extend coverage to the security camera on the garage, and I no longer have interruptions in recordings. I give this product 3 stars because of the size and price of the product and difficult setup. The product is about the size (height and width) of two hands together. It also has a bright blue light that you can’t turn off. It’s somewhat of a good thing if you want to use it as a night light.

When I learned how to reconfigure the extender to mirror my current wifi router bands and connect automatically- I lost half my speed. Still not confident that it is working properly

I have problems of getting a good signal. My house is made of brick, it seems to drop a lot before but now it seems better. Can’t really say it’s the best but not bad for a little better signal and for the price.

Thank you for your review. Please note that Arlo cameras exclusively connect to their proprietary Arlo base station, not your router. A WiFi extender will connect to your router and extend its signal, however the Arlo base station does not support traditional WiFi extension.

"How can I extend the range of my Arlo system?
Instead of connecting the Arlo base station directly to your router, you can connect the base station to an Ethernet port on a Wi-Fi range extender or Powerline adapter. This means you can put the Arlo base station farther away from the router or in a central location in your home to get better coverage with your Arlo cameras."

The app is a bit finicky at first but ultimately worked. Overall it worked for what I needed.

Haven't noticed a difference in range

Thinking about doing the config over in case of user error. Neutral review due to possible installation issues.

But it does do what is claimed. Just not what I wanted to do. Customer service days I must have too much interference to get to the spot I wanted to cover even though it is well within the range.
