Excellent Router, Has Issues with Wyze Cam V3
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I set this router up at my parents house to support 30-35 WiFi devices, depending on who is visiting -- 22 smart home devices are on 2.4Ghz only. The iPad 7th gen, two cell phones (iPhone 11, Moto G7), two laptops, and four Roku 4K+ sticks are probably running on 5Ghz, but might dip over to 2.4Ghz depending on what gives better signal, and then 1-5 other devices may connect to their WiFi if family comes over. The router works perfectly well with all of these devices in the single story 1700 square foot home and provides plenty of signal while working outside. They have gigabit fiber optic internet, both up and down, and when I bring over my gaming laptop I am able to pull over 500Mbps down while they are streaming on the Roku in the family room and I am streaming on the Roku in the front bedroom. The reason I'm giving this 3/5 is because this router does not play nice with the Wyze Cam V3 I installed over there that worked perfectly fine with their previous TP Link AC2300 router. When I swapped their old router, it would not connect. I turned on the hotspot on my phone (2.4Ghz) with the same router settings, to mimic their router, and it connects immediately. If I shut my hotspot off, it takes 10 minutes and it will eventually connect to their router and work perfectly fine. However, if they lose power, there is a strong chance that I will have to go over there and power cycle the router and camera to get it to reconnect. I tested this with another Wyze Cam V3 and it has the same exact problem. I don't know whether this is an issue with the cameras or the router, but if you have Wyze Cam V3 cameras, this router will likely give you a headache. If you aren't, it is an excellent router for the money that punches well above it's cost.

No AX only mode?
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Firmware (old and new) does not allow this modem to enter AX only mode. Only mixed modes. I tried to return the item due to my dissatisfaction in the firmware but I was outside of the return policy by a day. I now have a modem I do not need. I ended up buying an Asus that allows AX only and it works perfectly.

Posted .Hello Dave,
AX only mode is available on the Archer AX20. However you cannot access it if you have Smart Connect Enabled as it would then be a feature managed by the router. With Smart Connect Disabled you will see an option at the end of each individual band's settings for 'Mode'. Here AX only should be an option.

Good router.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The range is limited about 20ft from the room where it is. But other than that within the space wifi is great and I have two lines running from the router to a work computer and a PlayStation 5. With no lag or delay in connection so far. The app that comes with this router is easy to set up and to monitor your router’s connection.

Works but has limited range.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a quick fix because my TP-Link ax3000 died. Best Buy didn't have much in stock so I had to settle for this one. It's not bad but seems like the range is much less than the the ax3000. Setup was easy using a pc (I hate using a smart phone app)I intend to replace this one with an ax5400 later and use this as a wired access point.

Slower than the 6yo router it replaced
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Slower than our previous router. I appreciate the easy setup and stuff, but there’s much more delay and buffering compared to the 6-year-old router it replaced. Pretty disappointed.

Average router - good choice for the price.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.pretty standard issue router - girlfriend needed a better router than the knock-off she purchased at Amazon so I picked this up for her. It's not plug and play like lots of other routers, you DO need to do an initial config setup to get it to talk to your ISP but its very straight-forward.

Posted .Hi,
Thank you for your review. The TP-Link Archer AX20 is a Wi-Fi 6 router designed to connect with your existing Internet source (e.g., your modem) via Ethernet cable, in order to provide your home with Dual-Band, AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. If your Internet Service company already provided you with a Wi-Fi router, or Wi-Fi gateway, then you may not need an additional router - unless you require extra Wi-Fi coverage or particular features.

Fine, but no Traffic Monitoring
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The device works as expected. Although after installing and reviewing the admin page, this device does not have the ability to monitor traffic of all devices connected to it. Very disappointing as other TP-Link products do include that feature.

Be careful!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apparently there are two models of this router that are named same. It’s advertised that it offers VPN client but it turns out that the model that I got (and returned) only offers a VPN server. Apparently it depends on the serial number. Just be careful.
