Customers are saying

Customers praise the Deco AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System for its ease of use, extensive coverage, and straightforward setup. Many appreciate the improved signal strength and extended range, leading to a significant reduction in dead zones. While some users noted that the units can get warm, the positive feedback on performance and ease of installation outweighs this concern. The system is highly recommended for those seeking reliable whole-home Wi-Fi.

So far, amazing. Speeds are nearly double throughout the house vs previous router and have needed a “reset” since installed. With a “gamer” and two constant video streamers in the house...these have done a great job!!!

Huge upgrade from my single Netgear WiFi. The set up via the TP-Link app is so simple. Lots of great features on this system. The 2 node system covers my 4000 sq. ft. house very well. Even on the back porch and garage. Highly recommend.

Easy to use and setup. This two-node mesh router resolved the Wifi range problem I had without sacrificing speed the way a repeater would. This gives me wifi coverage in my back yard and inside a work shed 50 ft away from the primary router (covers the house) I also like that I can expand this system as I need over time. I don't love having to use the app to set these up, but it makes it easier to manage in the long term vs writing down the MAC address and other identifiers on the back of the device. I also like that it makes it easier to see activity on my network without having to log into a clunky router interface.

I received an add with these on sale, I then purchased them online from Best Buy at the sale price. Not 10 minutes later I received an email from another company offer the 3 unit model that has greater coverage for a lower price. I could not cancel the order from Best Buy but I went ahead and bought the 3 unit model from the other company online and returned the 2 unit model to Best Buy explaining why I was returning the unopened box.

Installation is easy, the WiFi coverage is outstanding, you control everything with the app. I have a three floor house and placed one of these devices on each floor, close to the stairs (bought one device extra). Now I have WiFi all over the house.

Easy to Install and Simple to Use. Had no issues to install Deco internet/wifi mesh system in my home. The only issue was to sync additional Decos, but problem solved after downloading and installing updates, then everything worked well.

DEFECTIVE unlike many other TP-Link devices

Until now TP-Link has been my #1 choice for modems, routers and WiFi extenders for years. As a techie, I frequently do beta testing for everyone from Microsoft to WeLink (a new internet service provider). Welink started me with a pair of Deco M5 mesh units. Wanting more speed and based on other reviews, I ordered pair of M9 Plus. Returned that pair due to erratic behavior. Severe overheating on main M9 resulted in frequent ON/OFF internet connections and unit rebooting itself. Best Buy sent me a free replacement after I returned the defectives. Now the replacement started erratic behavior so it is being returned too. Could be a bad batch of M9 Plus but I am not willing to waste my time and money on a 3rd set. BTW, 2nd set came with latest firmware installed so problem could also ne firmware related.

I purchased these units and was initially impressed - but that lasted only one day. I was getting over 400mbps the first day (I pay for 400/20 with Spectrum). However, the next day the units stopped performing and the speeds dropped to 20-30mbps when testing. When I went to troubleshoot I noticed the main unit was extremely warm, which was likely why performance dropped. The design of the units is perhaps why this is happening - there is not much of a way for the units to dissipate heat. I decided to go with the Netgear Orbi AC3000 instead and have been running those for a couple of weeks now with no issues.
