This is a great collection and at a great price I was able to pick this up for $10 , the show is actually very interesting to watch and while it did air over two decades before I was even born I was able to see bits and pieces of it through family members that had this on the VHS back in the day. making this an interesting sit down and watch on my free time you won't regret giving this show a chance.

authentic ultraman goodness, the nostalgia is real

Having watched this Ultraman series when I was growing up, I am quite pleased to have it in remastered HD blu-ray. The video quality is quite good for the most part, on-par with 35mm transfers. There are scenes here and there that appear to have been transferred from 16mm (given the amount of film grain visible), which may be the way those scenes were filmed. The audio is good, but be aware that it is in Japanese only. English subtitles are included as an option, and I adapted to watching it this very quickly. I purchased the steelbook edition, which includes a nice booklet about the series, and a clear plastic slipcase. Be aware the steelbook version comes with the 6 disc's stacked on 2 spindles in the case. Care must be taken not to damage the disc's when removing them from a spindle. (I used an emery board to sand down the fingers on the spindles to make it easier to remove disc's.) I read that the regular, non-steelbook version has separate tabs to hold each disc separately.

What a great find at Best Buy. I grew up watching the series on TV. I couldn't wait to get home from school to see every new episode. This really brought me some great memories. I forgot to mention the beautiful art on the steel book.

Great collection but buyer beware, millcreek used very old steelbook stock as the disc holder is stubborn hard to deal with like gen 1 steelbook. Get ready to smudge or deal with unreadable discs from bending

I Always loved B movies and T.V. and Ultraman doesn't disappoint. Amazing Steelbook and not to mention it's rare too find something obscure like this in Blu-ray quality.

Really love steelbooks with slips. Comes with a digital code (on Mill Creek’s Spree app) and a really well made episode guide. Great release! Happy with this purchase.

Beautiful packaging, and the show looks great. Crisp colors and great detail (for such an old show, at least). Of course, the show itself is immense fun. Highly recommended!

This Series Brought Back Memories Of My Younger Years. It Still Is As Awesome As I Remember. The Storyline And Characters Are As Wonderful, As I Remember. And Of Course, The Price Can't Be Beat.

After years and years of waiting, the Ultraman series collection we deserve finally comes to Blu-Ray! Sound and picture quality are the best yet. Also, the steelbook edition comes with a nice little booklet summarizing the show's production history, along with episode, kaiju, and tech guides. The only downside is no english language dub tracks. So those who grew up on the show in the '60s and '70s may be disappointed. But it's a small price to pay when everything else about this release is so great.

This show was one of my favorites as a kid. Always wanted a beta capsule and that swirling opening is classic. Have the dvd set but this blu-ray is a visual improvement in 1080p. Picture varies from scene to scene sometimes but that could be from poor source footage. The original japanese dialogue is a plus; making it a less goofy viewing experience. The theme song is different from the u.s. version but doesnt detract. Id say its a must have for any fan of Ultraman.

Very good like it but it's in Japanese would in English loved ultraman since a kid now all i do is put the dvd and show tome

I grew up loving watching Ultraman and this set will certainly add value to Tokusatsu/Kaiju “giant robo” power fantasies. This is not an English dub (though I wish it was). English subtitles available though

If you have a kid into Japaneese stuff, power rangers, or just random things then this will work for you.
