Except for difficulty in seeing the led indicators and trying to read the remote in low light, this is a sweet buy. Audio performance far exceeded my expectations. Perfect fit for my 60" Vizio.

Overall a very good product. BestBuy had a decent price, and good delivery. Sound is GOOD, and moves up to VERY GOOD, once a separate sub-woofer is connected. This unit is one of the very few that had a sub-woofer port (it is not wireless). It was not that easy to hook up, as any connections to the TV didn't seem to work. Vizio Tech Support was not particularly helpful. Also, be aware that there will be issues having the sound bar in front of the TV, because most TVs have the remote sensor on the bottom of the screen, and this unit is so tall it blocks the TV remote sensor. This means you have to raise the TV off the stand. Not a show stopper but more work than I thought it would be.

So glad I bought the sound bar. It really improves the TV sound, especially when characters are speaking. We don't have to increase the volume to understand what they are saying. It is no longer muffled.

For the money, was expecting a bit more "Wow" out of this soundbar. The bass is very dissapointing. Our unit is in a relatively small family room so it's possible that this soundbar is oversize for our space as you have to keep the volume down low so that it doesn't blast you out of the room. It might possibly be more impressive in a larger area where you could turn it up. Nicely integrated unit and easy to set up. Comes with everything you would ever need to install.

Sound bar has good sound but needs the wireless sup-woofer to complete its performance. I truly wish that there was a external sub-woofer but without the sub-woofer the sound bar is just average.

This is an excellent soundbar and it looks great with my 65 inch TV. It's just slightly smaller than my TV, probably would be the same width as a 60 inch TV. I have it mounted to my TV using a Bell'O 7912B mount which works well with larger TVs and sound bars. The mount points are 39 inches apart in case you're interested and they are not the keyhole type, but Vizio provides a 2 special screws that thread into the soundbar which is more secure in my opinion. They also provide nice wall mount brackets which I didn't use but would work well for a wall mount or tilt mount TV. This soundbar will not match a 5.1 or 7.1 system, but for what it is, a 3 channel (left, center, right# soundbar it does extremely well. I was specifically looking for good audio quality with a built in subwoofer which this has. For a home theatre you may want a separate sub but we never use them. This is a HUGE upgrade from the TV built-in speakers. We have it connected via optical audio but it also supports HDMI with ARC. It also has Bluetooth so you can connect your iPod, phone or tablet to play music with the TV off, which is a great feature. It integrates well with Vizio TVs using the TV remote. It can also learn the volumn up / down / mute commands from your existing - different manufacturer TV which is a nice feature. In that case it will auto-on when you hit volume up on your remote, and then you can set the bar to go off after about 5 minutes of being idle #if you prefer to do that). Otherwise it should integrate with any universal remote like a Harmony.

I placed the Vizio S5430W-C2 on the TV stand in front of my Panasonic ZT60 and conected an HDMI cable from the VIZIO to the HDMI ARC input of the Panasonic. My Direct TV DVR and Blu-ray player are connected by HDMI directly to the TV. I turned on the VIZIO, selected HDMI ARC as the input and everything worked just like it did before I hooked up the soundbar. I didn't even have to program the TV remote. It sounds very good (even better a few days latter when I connected a small subwoofer to the VIZIO subwoofer out#, it doesn't block the TV remote, the Direct TV remote and Panasonic remote both work just like they did without the soundbar #except of course they now controll the soundbar volume instead of the TV's#. One additional difference is that the soundbar has a couple second delay before you hear anything then the volume gradually increases #the TV sound just came on immediately at the same volume as when you turned it off). For my taste, I have turned the bass down a couple notches. Sounds very nice with music as well. I can't imagine a better sounding soundbar at this price.

This soundbar tremendously helped my terrible sound from my 55 inch LED LCD TV. And it compliments my 12 inch powered sub. I'm happy with this purchase. The deep bass is not room shaking so don't let that deceive you. That's why they added the sub out connect which is nice.

I expected more for $300. While I agree it significantly improved sound quality from my new Vizio TV, it didn't get a wow from me or my family.
