    Miss my old one

One of these days I’ll learn if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it…or replace it. I had a 10-year old waterpik that had nothing wrong with it except it was a dingy white by now. I ordered this one cause it was on sale. My old one had a flip top that was so handy. On this one, the top became a case for the extra tips. Every time you lift the case, it tends to open and spill the contents. Very annoying and useless, since you don’t want to store wet tips in a closed case. This unit also takes longer to get started than my old one.

    Does the job

This item does the job and is good value for the price. However, depending on where your electrical outlets are in the bathroom, this could be an issue for some couples. While it has a lengthy cord, who really wants to stretch it out in a bathroom where you are using water. If you're short on counter space, I'd look at upgrading to a cordless. Also, when you turn it on, water shoots out. You have to hold your finger on the pause button. I feel like that's a design flaw. The button on the pik should be to shoot water, not hold it back. That being said, I like this product, because as stated earlier, it does the clean of cleaning out food particles between your teeth.

Easy to use, easy to clean

I've had a water pik for years but never really liked it. It was hard to take the tip out to clean and I really didn't like using it. This waterpik works really well. It's easy to use, and easy to release the tip and clean it each time I use it. It also coils up nicely back into the stand so it doesn't sprawl across the counter. The only drawback I can see is that I have to push down on the tip before I use it to make sure it's seated, but that's easy, and for the ease of cleaning I'll take that tradeoff.

Rather compact in size which is good if you have limited space in your counter. But light plastic in design makes it feel flimsy and cable was too tightly wound that stretching it would pull the unit along with it. Water pressure was good but would have preferred a press button water release instead of a ON/OFF switch which meant water is squirted out all the time once it's ON and not when in demand. But it worked as intended which is good.

    powerful but loud cheap construction

seems to be cheaply constructed but after nearly 3 years still works like new, it's still very very powerful and does exactly what it says it does, be ready to clean your mirrors and walls because it splashes back and empties the water chamber quick. huge difference with the 6th month dentist appointments and no more tooth picks or flossing, but I would recommend using warm water if you are sensitive to cold water like I am. Cons: It is very very loud, and will wake up your soundly sleeping spouse or the spouse in the apartment across the hall. It is made out of cheap plastic and is light weight and just seems to move all over the sink counter with the lid falling off, a better design would be if it would have been made of a heavier composite with a better fitting lid and an insulated quieter pump, fountain pumps are quieter.

    Flossing Is So Much Faster

Considering I have many close friends who are in the dental industry I'm actually not that great with flossing (oops) so decided to do some research in to water flossing and figured if I spent a decent amount of money on a device I would be more inclined to floss regularly. Definitely pleased with the purchase. I had done some research and therefore knew there would be product/design flaws but overall a great investment for oral health. Ensure to place your finger on the pause button before the tip is in your mouth or else your bathroom will be sprayed with water, which I learned the hard way!

It works, but it has a very concerning design flaw: the handle button, which pauses the water flow, gets stuck very easily. Button broke in mine after a few weeks of use, so I have to return the item and bought another one with extended warranty. I think they have changed the button in the new models (a switch instead of a button you have to push). If you get the one with the button, just be careful or don't use the button at all (the button is not really necessary since you can always simply turn off the water flow from the main switch). I just think it is a too expensive item for having such flaw.

Hello Garcia - We are sorry this happened. Running distilled white vinegar and warm water through the unit and handle regularly, as recommended, will prevent the issue by breaking down any buildup that may be accumulating. Here is a link to our cleaning blog that has detailed cleaning instructions: https://www.waterpik.com/oral-health/product-support/articles/how-to-clean-waterpik-water-flosser-vinegar/.If this does not fix the issue, the unit carries a three-year warranty. We would be happy to help! Please email me directly at smreviews@waterpik.com. Or you can call customer service at 1-800-525-2774 for assistance.

As a water pick it more than does the job with the setting at only 4 of 10. I wish the button on the pick handle was push for stream, instead of push to stop. Also you sometimes have to wiggle the tank to promote a steady stream. Neither is a deal breaker, but a little “user experience “ review would have made for a better product.

I find the lid/top very poorly designed. You need to remove the white plastic lid which contains all the additional accessories every time you fill the water receptacle. This top contains a hinged lid which can open very easily and drop all the accessories into the water receptacle. The water receptacle can only be filled to a very poorly marked water line if you over fill pass the line the accessory lid gets full of water. My Waterpik is NOISY! Sounds like a lawnmower.

We bought it to replace the one we had, which finally died after many years. I liked the older geometry (crowded bathroom sink area) and its flat top, but this one is fine.

This unit is very poorly designed and noisy. It sounds like a lawn mover. If you're going for water flosser, having one with a tank is preferable to a stand alone hand held unit. I tried those too and they run out of water too quickly. I'm returning this and buying one that connects directly to my faucet. This is a waste.
