The 1-1/2 year old Windows-based PC I’ve owned had always given “reminders” that a backup task needed to be set up. Best Buy happened to have a Deal of the Day for this 4TB device for just under $100! Ordered online and it shipped fast. Once hooked up, the PC immediately “saw” it. I then went through with setting up a backup task using the already installed prompts to do so. It was just that easy! The only drawback was the fact that my USB 3.0 jack was on the backside of the PC, in close quarters with my desk installation and the small portable hard drive only comes with an 18” dedicated USB cable, making it necessary to concoct spacers to raise a shelf so that I could set the device on top of the PC cabinet. Your computer layout may be better suited to deal with the VERY short USB cable included with this device. For 4TB of storage, you can’t beat the price!

I have been using WD Western Digital 4 years now and I have never had a hard drive fell on me or problems with one. I own multiple WD external hard drives and NAS by WD, all of my Western Digital products work flawlessly. When the new line of easy Drive external hard drives by Western Digital came out I was very happy because they were reliable and affordable! This 4 TB external hard drive I purchased was during Black Friday so I bought it for a ridiculous great price. I still highly recommend Western Digital external hard drives they are worth the money I have used Seagate hard drives in the past and they have failed on me, that's when I switched. If you're looking for a reliable durable and affordable external hard drive definitely go with Western Digital easystore!

I Love this Easystore 4T external drive! It's inexpensive, plug-and-play, and transfers fast. The backup internal drive in my desktop went bad, so I replaced it with this one. Then I bought a new PC and I use this drive to xfer data to the new computer. Don't need a 2nd internal drive anymore, as this one is compact and just sits on top of my new mini-tower!

In years past--I always had the large External Hard Drives, ranging between 2-4TB. This is about the size of a billfold but don't let the size fool you. This little hard drive is 4TB & connect it to a 3.0 USB & your files, photos & videos transfer over smoothly. You can "Cut & Paste", move to or copy to & your file will be saved with no problems. It worked so well I got a second one. With over 100,000 photos I needed something that could do the job & this little hard drive does great.

I love this a lot of storage for a great price I definitely will enjoy this works well for my PS4.

Honestly the best purchase I needed for my gaming laptop. I’d highly recommend this product to someone who needs something small, not too bulky, but can hold a lot of storage for the price it is.

Great unit - compact and fast! Easy to transport where needed. Bought on sale for $82.99 so also a great deal. Connected to my laptop easily and quickly. Ready to use in 2 minutes. Small drawback (pun intended). The power/data USB cord could be longer. If trying to use it on a desktop, the unit may end up inaccessible as the cord is only about 12" long. I would like at least double the size to ease connections. Otherwise, I would buy again and make do with the short cord.

I thought it was a little hard to set up as I was expecting to plug in and drag and drop items but instead I had to set up an online account in order to get it to work. But i'm not very tech savvy either. Overall it does as it's intended and seems to work fine with an Imac. I think it should be a little more user friendly and not require a person to have to set up an account in order to use it...

I knew I could trust WD from previous purchases used for backing up pc’s and also as a DVR for Dish Network. I was amazed at how simple the easystore is to use, and at the incredible price of $99.00 for 4 TB on the deal of the day from Best Buy, I recommend this drive to anyone looking to backup files from a Laptop or pc and for the photographer’s it’s a great drive to store pictures and videos. I had filled my laptop up with concert videos from my camera and GoPro and this little drive was the perfect one to purchase. When I first saw the size I was not so sure about it but the file transfer is fast and smooth with a great software package from Western Digital. I also like that it is powered through the USB cable and doesn’t need external power. I like it so much I am going to buy another one. Get one and you will be satisfied!

This is everything I needed for extra storage. Easy to setup and very fast when it came to data transfer and loading. You cant go wrong with this product!

Great external drive and plenty of room. Used this for the Xbox One X and S and they work great. Only catch was it wouldn’t recognize the drive if it was plugged in and then turned the Xbox one on “the first time for setup”. The first use turn your Xbox One on after your signed in then plug the WD easystore drive in and the on screen will start automatically to set it up or go into settings-storage and do your setup there. Hope it helps great drive!

I needed to have a place to store and back up my DropBox photos and files. The DropBox upgrade to save space on my computer was over $200! I bought this at 1/2 the price and my problem was solved. Works as advertised. The physical size of the unit is nice and compact especially for its storage capabilities. I’m very happy with my purchase!

As our personal devices get better cameras, the file size of images and videos gets larger and larger. People like me who still backup on External Portable Hard Disk Drives find our Drives filling up faster than before. I have purchased 1TB WD 'My Passport' External Hard Drives in the past that I still use. Size: This 4TB drive is smaller in size as compared to a 1TB drive but shockingly 4x the Storage capacity. Speed: Drive Access speed on initial access is slightly slow as compared to 1TB drive but not a big deal. Price: I got this product at a discounted price of $80+tax so I have no reason to complain at all. Just buy it preferably during a sale. Warranty: 2 years. Con: An included custom soft storage case would have been nice but you can always pick up a decent one for a few bucks more.

I like the pickup process I was in and out I asked for advice on connection it and direct storage and I was told I ad to make an appointment. So yea that that but I use it for my MacBook and it works great even tho the software that came on it didn’t work I had to go on the website and get a different version to format it so yea that’s that but I needed it and once I got it goin it was exactly what I need but u can go from Mac to pc so yea that’s that too

The drive is small, sleek and works great. Long term use is not really that great. If you try to back up your entire drive it tends to kill the drive. I have done it 3 times and will only back-up portions from now on.

I needed this when I got my new MacBook Air, since my old external drive would not fit. I have only done one backup so far, but it worked well, as expected.

This external hard drive is very small, yet has 4TB of storage. I partitioned the drive into 2 separate partitions, with a clone backup on one partition and my Mac Time Machine backup on the other partition.
