I was overall satisfied, but if you are playing on a laptop and not going to be playing video games (or whatever you do) on a solid tabletop I would definitely worry about the cord or to be more careful with it. I think if your looking for a good terabyte though it is very good by the way I use this terabyte for downloading video games and I have not yet to have noticed it taking long to load (I’ve had it for about 6-7 months) so as I know with some terabytes do. So yes very good and definitely recommend.

This 4 TB is huge. It took a long time to back up my PC but it may be my PC more than this although it is USB 2. I am using to back up computers and then maybe hook up to my router.

This works great. I wish there was an adapter to connect it to my laptop. Cuz its gotten lost in the bottom of my bag a few times

It's quick, and does exactly what I need it to. Only thing about it is, it will continuously draw power from 3.0 ports. But that's if you leave things on.

Works great but you CAN NOT leave your ps4 on sleep to charge the controllers because the HD self disconnects then has to restart in safe mode.

This was the first hard drive I have bought that did not work when I took it out of the box. I'm getting it replaced today hopefully that one will be fine. I bought another one same one and that wirks fine. Maybe a one off!

On first use the device stopped importing files from OneDrive before completion. Then messaged No USB. Impossible to start up where device left off, so import begins all over resulting in duplicate files. On next try device turned off and gave Java script problem message. WD Tech Support was no help. Agent did not know device could import from OneDrive. Kept asking what software I was using and did not realize software is on the device. Suggested solution was to manually copy files from OneDrive, paste to MyPassport, then delete duplicates. This would take significant time, and what’s the point of having the device if it can’t import and files have to be copied and pasted. Returned to BestBuy.

I've bought WD external hard drives for years. But this My Passport 4TB was a complete failure from the start. Multiple PCs and laptops failed to even recognize it. Therefore, useless.

Probably not BB fault, but it was old technology. The USB cord attached to WD Passport, that I 'attempted' to plug into a 1-year-old Dell laptop computer, was the same one sold 5 years ago for my old computer. WD, I have always loved your external hard drives, but I returned this one because you told me I could order an upgraded USB connector from your site. Do you really expect people to spend $130 on old technology, attempt to hook it up, only to find out they need to order a new adapter because you failed to add to a 2021 piece of technology???

I am sure that not all of them are defective, but mine was. Unfortunately by the time I used it for the first time, it was too late to return it to Best Buy. I tried it on 3 different computers and none of them would recognize it. I tried everything that WD website suggested, but no luck. :(

I had to return it. Didnt work for me. I have a Samsung Z Fold.

Doesn’t work for Xbox x game system. Best Buy rep recommended this to me. Not a good buy.
