Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the significant signal boost they experienced, with some reporting an improvement from no service to multiple bars of reception. Installation is generally considered easy, and the device is effective in providing coverage in areas where there was previously limited or no reception. While some customers find the price to be a bit high, many are satisfied with the improved call quality and reduced dropped calls. A few users mention the device overheating and the provided cables being too short.

I live 1.6 miles away from my closest AT&T tower. I’m a nurse, not IT, or antenna man, or an expert. But I do have basic knowledge in computers. Before the signal booster my phone reception was -115 to -100 if I step by the window. And dead signal in some places. My whole neighborhood it’s a hole. After look online my provider tower I proceed to walk and see the tower and then pin it in my phone GPS. Then I went home and put the signal booster antena in a mop stick and like spider man I climb into to my house roof scared of death. I assembly the booster as instructed. And I put the antena pointing to the tower 1.6 miles from home. With google maps I was able to look where I am pointing. Once on, I proceed to turn on the booster. The signal is most of the time between -50 to -70 and I have notable improvement in my internet speed test. I have 2 floors house, 3 bedrooms, so it works, just take your time and put the booster antenna as high as possible

I live in ruralish suburbs and cell phone reception where I am can be pretty spotty. Often we have to deal with dropped calls and garbled audio during calls made from inside the house. The setup process for this signal booster is straightforward, though somewhat involved. However, the video tutorials from weBoost guided us through each of the steps from determining where the signal was the weakest in our home, to where it was strongest outside our home, and how to locate the nearest cell tower so we could point the antenna in the right direction. I wasn’t relishing the idea of going up on the roof to mount the outside antenna, but thankfully, after watching the setup videos, we learned that I could install the “outside” antenna in the attic, as long as it was oriented towards the closest cell tower that provided our network’s service (we use Verizon, but it's compatible will all GSM or CDMA networks). This also helped us avoid drilling holes in the exterior wall to run the cable inside, and we were able to skip using the window entry jumper cable. Even with the outside antenna in the attic, it was still able to receive a strong enough signal from the tower and transmit it to the booster. We set the inside antenna on the first floor in the living room where we felt we would be making the most calls, therefore needed the most improvement in signal quality. I like that the inside antenna has a modern looking fabric cover to blend in with other décor. It looks just like a Bluetooth speaker sitting on the table, though it can be wall mounted or even hidden behind furniture. The booster unit itself, however, is quite industrial looking and has three wires hanging off of it so this is a better candidate for placing behind a couch or in a closet. It also has an indicator LED on it, so you may want to keep it somewhere where you can check on the status every once in a while. It runs pretty hot to the touch too, so wherever it goes, you have to make sure it has good ventilation. This signal booster has improved the cell reception for us across three rooms on our first level according to the signal test results on my Galaxy Note 9. Before setting the booster up, I had pretty consistent signal readings of -115 to -107 dBm, which is fairly low (-120 dBm is pretty much unusable signal). After installing and turning the signal booster on, I’ve been seeing signal readings of -90 up to -65 dBm (-40 dBm would be "perfect" signal). In practical terms, that means I no longer get dropped calls from the rooms where the signal is boosted and since the signal picked up is 4G/LTE, data speeds are faster too, which is really helpful if our WiFi goes down. The booster is also able to pickup 3G network signals, if for some reason the 4G signal isn’t strong enough. So at least call quality can be maintained even if data isn’t available, though it’s unlikely we’ll experience that scenario in our area. The only thing to keep in mind is that the inside antenna’s signal is directional and limited in range, so it needs to face into a room to get the most signal out of it, and the signal only travels so far and drops off the farther you move away from the antenna, so we don’t see any of the signal improvement on the 2nd and 3rd floors of our home. Overall, the device was pretty simple to set up, improved call quality and data speeds across three rooms (living room, dining room, kitchen with open floor plan), and gave us consistent and reliable call coverage where we needed it the most.

We got the booster because we live in a rural area and since getting a new smart phone, the reception on it has been terrible with dropped calls and poor data connection. The packaging and instructions for the booster are terrific - some of the best I've seen. All the components were extremely well labeled and the instructions clear and concise. Even the cable bags had illustrated labels telling us exactly how to connect the inside antenna to the booster to the outside antenna. What did not make sense however, was that it instructed you to use the 30' cable between the inside antenna and the booster, which are in the same room, and only gives you a 15' cable from the window connector to the outside antenna. This might be okay IF the instructions did not say "the outside antenna must be at least 50 feet horizontal or 20 feet vertical from the inside antenna". There is not enough cable to get it mounted in the ideal position on top of the roof with only the 15' section out the window. We ended up putting the outside antenna on a pole until we can get a longer coax cable to mount to our roof. Even though it is not in the best position, we are still very pleased at how well it works. Prior to installation, I would have one bar of strength on my phone and the data sometimes dropped to 3G. Since the installation, the strength is usually at 3 bars, occasionally goes to 4 and the data is at 4G-LTE most of the time. The signal also seems to be boosted in more than just my office where we installed it. Finding the optimal position by experimenting with various positions and tweaking the antenna takes a lot of time and definitely requires two people. But we are pleased with the results and anticipate they will only get better as we find the best place to mount the outside antenna.

My cell service has been notoriously bad ever since I moved into my home. There has been a lot of new development in the area in the last several years but one thing that has yet to catch up to the demand requirements of the neighborhood is the cell phone coverage. This upgrade was overdue. This kit does what it claims. I typically would get no service at all to maybe one bar without it inside my home. Almost as soon as I plugged it in I got three bars. If you are in an area where your service is not reliable and you are using some variant of WiFi calling or VOIP service, you might want to strongly consider this kit. In the event your internet goes down and/or have no landline, you could find yourself in a bind during an emergency situation. The provided directions are more than sufficient to get this up and running. The difficulty is all based on how you are going to physically install it in your home. Connecting it and powering it up is a breeze. It's literally spelled out in a instruction manual and on the plastic protective bags each component and cable the kit is wrapped up in in a step-by-step style. It doesn't get more clear than that. I took off one star only because of the price of the product. As much as I appreciate how this worked out, it is a bit steep. I think more people in my situation would jump on this if it was a bit cheaper. I know a lot of these would sell in my neighborhood alone if that were the case.

This signal booster was worth every penny for us. We live in the Colorado mountains at 9,000 feet and our cell signal was borderline “dead zone”. We decided to pull the trigger on this booster and went from -129 dbm -87 dbm, which is a massive improvement. Cellphone signal works all over the house, we don’t have to stand at a certain in the kitchen to make a phone call anymore. Installation was very easy, read the simple instructions and take your time. Some might find the equipment unappealing, but you’re able to hide most of it behind furniture.

I had purchased something like this years a go and it did not work. I wanted to purchase one from Best Buy because I know if it did not work I could take it back. I live way out in the country borderline between Towers , in my house I get zero to 1 bar. Which is very difficult to communicate. so I follow the instructions and watch the video, and very carefully installed the product. And now I have 2 to 4 bars at all time. It was a little pricey but it's going to be well worth it.

This was really easy to install. We live in a very rural area and our cell phone signal is pretty poor at best. With this we get much better service in our house. The room the inside antenna is in is the best room and the two adjoining rooms are good. Our service is just to poor to get it in the rest of the house but we were expecting that when we were researching this product. It was definitely worth the money as we work from home sometimes and needed the extra boost for our cell phone. I would purchase this again.

This thing works. Was fairly easy to install. Just pointed the antenna in the direction of our cell tower and my bars went from 1 to 4. We always had issues with dropping calls and slow data. But now with 4 bars of signal everything works great. My only complaint is the inside antenna does not cover my entire house like I thought it would. If I'm in the same room as the antenna, then it works as it should. But walking into other rooms the signal goes down quick.

Installed this booster in a metal building. Had great signal outside but limited signal inside (0-2 bars) due to all the metal. Installation was easy and now we have 4 and 5 bars inside the building. The booster is expensive but it did what we needed.

Easy setup. weBoost cell tower locator worked better for than open signal app. Tried multiple locations for antenna but 3 bars was the best I could get. Tried attic location, not good. Tried thru an upstairs window which was as good as outside the window. But still only 3 bars. Reception was okay for 3 rooms not so much for other rooms. My space was 2300 square feet. I worked with the system for over a week. Probably would have been fine using a tall mast outside, but not allowed by neighborhood restrictions. Sadly I returned product to the Best Buy where I purchased it. The staff there were cordial and helpful. I really like their TOTAL TECH Program.

We went from not being able to load a simple web page, to being able to stream video on cellular data and I haven’t even fine tuned the aiming! The install is easy as long as you are a little handy, if you are looking for a professionally installed look but aren’t used to home maintenance you may consider hiring someone to install. I insisted on running the wires through the attic and walls but could have ran externally just as easily. It comes with a short piece of coax that is flat and will allow you to run the cable through a window.

Not making difference for my bad service

Installation: Took me a while to set this up since I had no mounts on the roof itself and all existing pipes were on bad location. I purchased antenna mount and installed it on top of my attached garage. Must say installation was not easy for me since I am very bad climber but I got it done quickly after lots of shaking and sweating. Setup: Setting up this product was very easy, really just a plug and play. I used "OpenSignal" app to determine location of nearest T-Mobile tower and positioned my antenna toward that tower. You might need to go 10 degrees to right or to the left and after each changed position you should powercycle your booster Performance: Honestly I don't see much difference when it comes to my cellphone service. My speed test results for data are same as before, web sites and videos still loading slow, people are still complaining about quality of the calls but my signal bar indicator shows more lines - not sure how accurate that it since both of our IPhones are not opening Field Test menu. Since I had no dropped calls before or after installing booster there is no compering in that area. Overview: I was honestly expecting more from this device but I can't tell how far the closest T-Mobile tower is since my reception and data services are bad in wide neighborhood area - so maybe I am just way too far to get improvement? Reminder: Do not forget to register your cellphone booster, its required by FCC and even by your network provider.

We are moving to the country with the closet cell tower about 4 miles away . We were skeptical at first that we would get a connection but in less than an hour we were set up and got both phone service and use of internet. The only downside so far is it doesn’t work through concrete walls but in a standard house there should be no issues.

This was easy to install. The hardest part was finding the best signal. A couple YouTube videos later to help us achieve the best signal and a couple apps on our phone we got it mounted in an hour. We went from 0-1 bars to 3 & 4 bars. This took us maybe an hour to have it installed and up and running.
