We like the larger top bowl, it holds a larger amount of popcorn than our previous rounded top stir popper. The top is also made of a stronger plastic, our previous model was more flimsy. Our only complaint is it leaves more kernels unpopped

I haven't had this popper long, but it works great and pops most of the kernels. I have made kettle corn by adding a TB of sugar just before it starts to pop. It is wonderful, but a little more work to clean up the popper.

I read consumer reviews before purchasing this unit, it was rated #2 overall and it has not disappointed. I took it to its max capacity on the 1st try and it did awesome, did not miss popping one kernal and there were no burnt pieces. The butter top and easy wire management are great perks to this unit. I would highly recommend it to anyone that needs a popper.

Very easy to use, just make sure to add enough oil. I tried using a lesser amount of oil and it took forever to start popping and not all kernels popped. With the right amount (a lot) of oil it worked more efficiently. The popped corn seems to be a little tough though, not hard just a little chewy. Still good to eat.

Popper works good so far. It jams on the kernels once in a while, then will reverse direction. The instructions say not to shake the machine, but it pops much more of the corn if it is. Hold the handles together and shake. Slice butter thinly to make sure it melts as the corn is popped.

Great popcorn maker for the price! Easy to use and pops most of the kernels. Make sure you melt the butter yourself first otherwise it will not melt it on its own.

We wanted a more theater like popcorn, and we don't like microwave popcorn. We have done different methods like stove pot/ and the "crank" pot etc. But we still wanted a way that even our 11 yr old could do himself. This was a winner! We have great tasting popcorn without using the microwave. Highly recommend buy the better kernels and we use theater popcorn oil from restaurant supply. Can't beat the taste and easy to use. The whole house will smell like popcorn and everyone will come knockin at your door :)

The popcorn popper lived up to its reviews. Uses very little oil and pop about all the corn.The popcorn tasted good. Only problem with the popper is the clearing of the cover. It is hard to get the oily film off.

I am not a fan of microwave popcorn and I was looking for a popcorn maker that would both fit in my small kitchen but not cost a fortune. This popcorn maker was less than $30 and it's terrific! It's easy to use, pops big fluffy popcorn, and you get tons of popcorn with just a small amount of kernels. The lid doubles as a bowl so there's less cleanup involved. It's easy to use and easy to clean; a great buy for your money!

First popper from Best Buy was defective - would only pop half the kernels. Replacement from West Bend was awesome - great machine and a lot of fun for the kids.

Ordered this machine during a Best Buy 4 hour sale and received it at a great price. I have used the popcorn popper at least 6 times already. Popcorn pops well though if you use the lid as a bowl, the popcorn can become "damp" from the accumulated steam from the popping process. Additionally, you need to be careful as to not overfill the popper with popcorn. I feel the machine works best with 2/3 cup and 2 tablespoons of oil. The hub used to lock wire stirrer in place is plastic. This concerns me that it will wear out over time. But for the price paid this popcorn popper works well.

This popper works great! If you follow the measuring directions for the amount of popcorn and oil to use, it pops every kernal of corn without burning. The reason I gave it a 4 star was because the butter distribution at the top of the popper doesn't seem to want to rid itself of all the butter. It is better to just melt the amount of butter you desire and pour it over the popped corn after you turn over into a bowl.

Works great. Popcorn taste great. I find that buttering works best if you poor it in melted as it starts popping from the vents in the top. Clean up isn't too bad, the bowl is polycarbonate so it has to be handwashed but so do the other brands. Got it on sale too.

Great if you use regular corn or organic one. Fast, easy to clean, good item for its price

Good machine to prepare pop-corn but is slow to make it and you can not put a lot corn to make it, in mi opinion, is good in average

I would recommend it for popcorn a little slow to start however. Nearly no old maids and no burnt pieces. It was affordable as well.

i shopped around and researched popcorn poppers for several weeks and chose this one. And I love it! It's fairly easy to clean and normally leaves very few kernels un-popped. I would definitely recommend this one.

Popcorn from the popper taste much better than the microwave bags. And clean up is not that bad. Well worth the money.

The popcorn popper does the job quite well. the only thing you have to do to get good popcorn however is to ignore the instructions and put 3 TBSP of oil for 1/4 cup of popcorn. any less on the oil and like air popped, it'll taste like Styrofoam. I gave it 4 out of 5 because when your using the popper, the hand is pushing the seeds around. yes I understand its there so nothing burns, but at the same time it will sometimes make a horrible grinding sound.

We bought the smaller one since we have 2 young kids. It was big enough. This one is big enough for both growing girls to have popcorn for their movies and to have plenty of leftovers of needed. Easy to use and clean up as well.
