I absolutely loved this fridge when I saw it on display in the store. It was quiet, sleek, and had all the features I wanted - and for an affordable price. Yay! That's why I bought it - in March, 2018. Well, it's the end of October and I am having serious buyer's remorse. I'm a 60 year old grandmother, so it's not like the thing gets a lot of use. It sounds like a lawn mower when I open it up, and I'm pretty sure it was improperly set up by the installers because there's still styrofoam packing on the inside of the fridge filter section. I discovered this when trying to figure out why there is such a racket coming from the fridge. There's no way I could insert a filter into this space (see pic). Still, the ice dispenser and freezer work fine - but for how long? I don't see this lasting the 15 years that my previous Whirlpool lasted. So bummed.

We bought this fridge on sale during Thanksgiving week because the ice maker on our old fridge went out sometime ago and we finally decided to just get a new fridge. We decided that a counter depth would probably give us a little more room as well in our kitchen the way it is laid out with the island so we decided on that style. It definitely has given us more room and it was immediately noticeable how much less space it took up being counter depth which was exactly what my wife and I wanted. It could hold just about all the food from our old Fridge which was a regular size side by side. The only real gripe we have had so far is that there is a place for one more shelf in the Freezer but it wasn't included and from what my wife has looked at online it is going to be between $80 and $90 to get another freezer shelf. There is also room for another door shelf on the fridge side that with how we have them arranged could have have had another shelf on the door so we are looking to order one of those which I believe is going to be between $30 and $40. Other than the gripes about the missing shelving we have been happy with it so far. It makes ice pretty quickly and we haven't run out of ice yet! It also has an auto-fill feature once you calibrate it so i can put my coffee pot under it and tell it to fill 50 ml and it automatically fills for me to setup 10 cups coffee for the next morning without standing there holding it. Installation from Best Buy was great as well and rather painless installing this one...not so much for when they had to remove the old one but they got it out.

Whirlpool & Best Buy a WINNING COMBINATION!!!! Bought this for our new home just constructed in Aubrey, TX. Pretty sure it was the store in Denton. I bought the fridge over the phone. It was a breeze. Back in early March 2021 refrigerators were hard to get especially counter depth. Best Buy is the only company within 50 miles of our home that could deliver without delay and their price was better than all the rest. I shopped fridges in great detail, read all the manuals! This fridge is exactly what I was looking for and matches the other Whirlpool kitchen appliances. It's counter depth and the size offers enough room to open the door all the way next to a wall. The ice and water dispenser is great, lights up, water comes out at good rate and is chilled, has a door ajar alarm and so much more. If I need to clean a fridge drawer, I pull it out a tad to open the door beyond 90 degrees to do that task, which isn't too often to be of concern. It's a great fridge, looks good, is very quiet, has a decent amount of shelves and large door storage. Came with the air filter, water filter and copper line, and Best Buy delivered and installed. In addition to Whirlpool kitchen appliances we have the Whirlpool washer and dryer. My husband and I are very pleased with Whirlpool products and the customer service representatives. They totally understand what I need when I call, they listen carefully and are very knowledgeable. I've yet to find anyone who didn't treat me like a special customer. In these strange times, moving into a new home isn't easy but Best Buy SAVED THE DAY. Best Buy has a wonderful regional business manager who called me from her cell phone while she was out doing business, took the time to talk to me about the order, plus the customer service representative who I initially worked with over the phone, at the local store was just as wonderful. He put me in touch with her-Real Teamwork! These people really care and are very competent. They understand competition. Sounds odd but the reps at Best Buy treated me as if I was their Best Friend.

We are pleased with the new Whirlpool refrigerator for many reasons. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is partially my fault. In the Best Buy store the unit was between two other models and I did not see that only the doors were stainless steel while the sides were painted gray. Not sure I would have purchased if I had know but now we are used to it. One side is against the wall and the other only shows the top half above the counter. I like the shape of the ice cubes, a flat topped pyramid. It is simple to operate, has plenty of room inside yet my wife wants me to purchase two more freezer shelves. The shallower depth of the counter size is nice as the prior one stuck out too far into the room and it seems to have plenty of cubic feet inside. I would recommend it as long as you know what you are getting.

I was searching for a stainless counter depth fridge that wasn’t a $fortune. This one got good ratings so I went for it. I’m pleased w/ the layout and the design. It’s so much better with fingerprints than my previous fridge. It’s pretty quiet and seems to be consistent w/ all the other positive reviewers. Also, Best Buy made it a very good buying experience including the delivery & setup. Very pleased.

Really like this fridge. Unlike some reviews, it is pretty quiet until the ice maker fills or the ice falls into the bin. The size is good and fits nicely next to cabinet and pantry wall. I got black so it took longer for delivery since the color is a special order. Overall, very nice unit.

MY FRIDGE IS MISSING 1 Fridge SHELF, 2 FReezer SHELVES , 2 Fridge DOOR Bins and the AIR clean Filter. I paid for the water filter. Some women commented on the foam inside the AIRFILTER CHAMBER was left in by set up crew. I wonder if she is correct? I called the local BEST BUY and told them I need the parts sent at no charge because its featured in photos. Thats called TRUTH IN ADVERTISING. So ask for your missing parts and be assertive yet kind to the phone representative. I gave 4 stars because the parts are missing. Its been 1 week and so far its quiet and

Bought this replace a Whirlpool fridge from 2013 that finally gave out and have regretted purchasing this one. Although both old and new fridge's measured the same size, the new one has much less space inside, odd. Also the Freshflow filter compartment did not come with a filter and it makes an awful loud ticking noise every time I open it. It sounds like way too loud, did not have this with my old fridge. I highly doubt placing a filter in there would even make the noise go away. Also the outside front door panels have this weird texture that leave marks with the slightest touch. Regret this purchase 100%…. I miss my old fridge and wish I would have kept it and have someone repair it.

Overall - we are EXTREMELY satisfied with our new Whirlpool refrigerator (installed one week ago). Our space is quite tight and the Best Buy team informed me of this model as a good choice. The refrigerator is quiet and is keeping both sides at the proper temperature. Best Buy's delivery and installation went very smoothly. The shelving is organized well - we just ordered 2 small freezer shelves to add some capacity. The only design shortcoming we've found is that if a person wants to get ice from the ice bin (not the dispenser), the bin has to be lifted up and out in order to get to the ice (not a big problem, but an extra step).

Only problem is that it does make a noise constantly. I am trying to buy a filter wondering if the is the correct one for it? EDR1RXD1

So far I like the refrigerator but I am still trying to get used to the compressor that seems to run almost constantly. My older 2005 refrig was the opposite of this new one where the compressor was off as much as it was on. So far my only other complaint is the lack of storage shelves in the freezer compartment. I ended up going on-line and purchasing two more shelves that really should have came with it to begin with. Without them you need to stack a lot of food on top of each other, not good.

Overall a really good unit. Freezer could use another shelf and drawer. The ice dispenser is pretty loud but works great. The control panel is easy to use. The water also tastes great so it’s a good filter system. I do love the fridge side. I love the look and everything stays nice and cold. Best But had the best deal. Delivery men were awesome, hooked it up for me and hauled away my old unit. The delivery window was wide but they called on the day of and narrowed it down. They were courteous and respectful of me and my space.

Our previous refrigerator died on us and we had to find a new one that would fit the space available. With the help of the expert staff at Best Buy we were able to identify a unit that fits the space perfectly and offers us the benefits of a counter depth unit. We are extremely happy with our purchase and it looks great in the space. All is performing perfectly.

A little pricey for the size, the bigger ones cost the same. Overall happy with the purchase for a household of two. Freezer is small but I knew that, don’t keep much frozen foods anyways. Water is slow to dispense, and crushed ice flies all over the place unless you use a wide cup. I can live with these minor flaws. Not gonna leave a bad review like people with high expectations. The measured fill needs to be calibrated every now and then. Keeps my beer, condiments and ice cream the right temp! I’m happy! Don’t buy a counter depth fridge and complain about the size!

This frig is an upgrade for me. I am very happy with it for the most part. It is a bit loud at times but it might just be it is settling in. It fits perfectly in my kitchen.

Only have had it a couple of days, which is why I gave only 4 stars. So far no issues. I hesitated getting this refrigerator based on reviews saying it made loud noises. I have not experienced any noise other than when the ice drops into the container and the water runs into the ice maker all of which is about 30 seconds if that. I doubt that there’s any ice makers that can drop the ice without making noise.

Performs well and is quiet. Looks good. Ice dispenser spills ice on floor when filling cup. The container holding the ice is pretty small. I thought ice production was initially slow too, but haven't paid much attention to that so could be wrong. Molding around door has cosmetic issue in upper right corner. When I went back to the store I noticed the floor model had same issue. So it wasn't just mine. Not enough shelves provided in freezer. Usable space in freezer is limited because you have to stack everything. They are $80 each for additional. You will need 2 more. The refrigerator door could probably use another shelf too. I really don't know if I would recommend this refrigerator or not. I would recommend looking at it closely compared to others in same price range.

Sale process was excellent. Updates were excellent. Product is good. Delivery was excellent. Doors/handles aren't even.

I love the fridge. Stands a little crooked but that could be my floor. Would be nice if the feet were adjustable but we just shim it. The led lighting is very nice and I love the lighting on the water dispenser. Could use one additional shelf in the freezer and an additional door caddy in fridge, but all in all it works great and I love it. A good value for the price. We have a small kitchen so the counter depth works well despite losing a little bit of storage. Looks really sleek. Ice maker works great.

Love it so far. Smooth delivery and install and love the ice and water. I did order an extra shelf for the freezer which is very high in cost. Like other reviews I read, only gave it 4 stars because of the lack of shelving in the freezer. Otherwise it was a good choice.
