Simple to use, sleek design, pretty quiet, cleans, what more could you ask for. Well me, I'd ask for a better drying function. I'm wise enough to position glasswear etc at an angle so water doesn't pool on it, and mostly this is effective enough. It's the silverware section on the door that NEVER comes out dry. Never. I typically just wipe them with paper towel, takes 30 seconds. This would not stop me from purchasing the same model again, just something y'all should know. The silverware compartment can me removed off the door and placed on the main washing rack, that may make a difference, haven't tried it yet.

Our old KitchenAid that came with our house finally broke down in May due to moisture shorting the control panel. It would cost half of this Whirlpool dishwasher just to order a replacement panel, so we decided to just replace it. Installation was easy - if you know how to install one home dishwasher, you'll know how to install all home dishwashers. This was my first time and it took no more than 45 minutes. This washer is pretty quiet compared to our KitchenAid model. Since it is a basic dishwasher, it cleans dishes sufficiently. If you have hard stains and caked on food particles on your dinnerware, it is best to soak them before loading it into the dishwasher as this dishwasher. Since it isn't equipped with food grinder or front facing cleaning jets, don't overload this washer and do not load heavily soiled plates or bowls. I use Cascade dishwasher pods and never really have problem with uncleaned dishes. When I used Finish pods, there were sporadic food particles left on dishes. It is a good interim dishwasher until we upgrade to a Thermador.

This is an upgrade from the builder grade quality dishwasher that came with my home. It was easy to install and works wonderfully. It’s runs pretty quietly and gets the dishes clean. I love that dishwasher has so many wash and dry options. You really can’t go wrong for the price. It looks great in my kitchen and matches my other whirlpool appliances perfectly.

Looking in Consumer Reports, this was one of the highest ranked, less expensive dishwashers. So far, it has not disappointed. It was easy to install and has done an excellent job cleaning the dishes. My only complaint would be that it doesn't have the cushioned trim around the edges for a better look and quieter dishwasher, but luckily the ones from my old dishwasher were compatible and I used them. My understanding is that many do not come with that anymore anyway. Other than that, great buy!

I’ve had this dishwasher since January and it’s beautiful. Cooking and doing dishes for a household of seven eaters I was always doing the dishes. Tall tub I love because you can fit tall and bigger items on the top rack. Runs well and quietly but most of all cleans really well with no residue left behind. Only thing I did not like was the silverware rack on the door so I moved it into the bottom rack. Would recommend highly

I purchased this dishwasher to replace my 15 year old GE dishwasher. I shopped for price, color, and quiet. The dishwasher was easy to install provided youpurchase the installation kit (additional charge). The silverware tray is flimsy and comes off the inside of the door to rest on 2 plastic prongs attached to the end of the bottom tray. It has 2 rotating water blades which helps clean. The cycle is really long so I recommend the 1 hour cycle to save water and power. The drying element doesn't work very well as the dishes are still damp when it finishes. All of my dishes come out nice and squeeky clean but we do rinse and brush them before placing them in the dishwasher, which believe helps. The best feature's are the sleek look and the ver VERY quiet cycles. I have a great room with a pass through opening to my kitchen so with our old machine we could only run it at bed time or in the morning when no one was watching TV in the great room. I run it on the one hour cycle without heat drying and leave the dishes inside until it cools, they are just as dry as when I select the heat drying cycle. Overall for the price it is a very good dishwasher.

Dishwasher is Quiet though not silent :) Cleans dishes well without leaving any water spots or residue. The only thing is Do Not to put any magnets on the front for they will leave marks if left on while running. As you can see in photo. Otherwise it has great cleaning power even on the 1 hour quick wash cycle!

The door opens easily,I would prefer the basket for utensils to be in the rack so the utensils don't obscure the racks when sliding them in and out. Overall the dishwasher performs well.

I never give reviews, but this dishwasher really was a "best buy". Home Depot advertised it for $200 more! I was able to set up delivery for the day I wanted, and they came right on time. I paid for cart away of my old dishwasher, which I needed to disconnect first. Then had my own handyman install it using the kit I bought from Best Buy. Easy install and after using it for a month I can say that I'm very pleased with my purchase. Works great and quietly! I recommend it without hesitation.

    Tall tub not so tall

I bought the “tall tub” under the assumption that the top rack would fit taller dishes like my plates. There really is is no difference between tall tub and regular tub. This dishwasher cleans well, and I like the 1 hour clean has been plenty to even clean my dirtiest dishes. On the other hand the silverware rack on the door is a pain in the rear, pulling the bottom rack in and out it gets stuck on my silverware. It also has slots on the silverware rack and I don’t even bother after like the first use, sticking my silverware in 1 piece at a time is tedious, and some don’t fit. The racks aren’t adjustable and the fingerprints are pretty Terrible. I’m not really impressed for 500$

This dishwasher cleans all of the crud off of our dishes without a hitch making an energy star compliant is a huge bonus. Having three different spray bars inside the washer means every single nook and cranny will get washed.

So far so good, we're about 1 mo in and only running it about once a week. Our last machine was a Bosch. It was a nice machine but we have extremely hard water which compounded by the fact we never used tablets (like Cascade brand which contain, among other things, water softeners, well even after cleaning both filters, the Bosch it went kapoot. We do like the whirlpool brand, it's pretty quiet, it has excellent features and functionality like the sanitize feature. So again time will tell. Now however, it's gel pack and jet dry on every wash, I learned at the expense of the Bosch that hard water will ruin a dishwasher. The lesson learned, per owners manual clean both filters at recommended intervals, use Gel packs which include water softeners and a jet dry solution to eliminate spots. Otherwise the interior layout upper and lower baskets and flatware basket seems very generic (reason for 4 star), seems to work good and so far no calcium deposits spotted. I'm hoping and thinking that running it in softened water may significantly increase the life. The Bosch was kapoot in just under 3 years.

Water pump died after 2 years of normal use (2-3 times of using per week). Plastic rack on tub beginning to wear and expose rusted metal underneath. Disappointed to be replacing this already 2 years later. It’s not worth the expense of the pump part replacement and service call fee.
