Great card, bought this a bit over a year ago and it’s still going as strong as ever. 1440p games run at 60fps easily aside from not so great optimized games like cyberjunk. The recent updates to the Radeon software used to control everything about this card is why I’m writing this review I feel it’s finally made the card something recommendable. With the right voltage and frequencies this thing runs at a more respectable temperature than out of the box whilst being overclocked, and the newly added stress test feature will help you to find what gets you the most out of your card, Wish they had that when I was first setting mine up. If you want it to run cool and quiet you can set it to easily, if you want to eek out every ounce of performance you can do that too (there’s a lot of room for overclocking it I might add) The card is definitely massive but whether you like how it looks or not is obviously a person by person basis, do know it’s great if you want to have something sitting on top of it like a figure. There can be some moderate sagging as it is so big and it did concern me a bit in the beginning but now that it’s been almost a year I don’t lose sleep over it as everything’s still perfectly fine (I need to upgrade my motherboard anyways) All in all with how customizable everything about how it runs and the amount of ports it has I think it’s truly great for anybody looking for a decent card. Granted I picked it up for 379.99 so I’d understand some moderate frustration if you were paying over 600 for it. So take a lot of the reviews with a grain of salt, they probably paid a hefty price for it while a lot of its drivers and software weren’t really too great yet. Nowadays though if you see this thicc boy at a decent price I couldn’t recommend it more.

I got this card to replace a 1650. Clearly this was a better fit for my new build using Ryzen 3700x. The card is a monster in thickness and sags slightly. (I used a small GPU brace to prevent this.) After playing around benchmarking and some games, it's impressive but loud. The comments regarding driver issues, black screens, hot junction temps - all true. Any time I overclock this even if it's 1%, it WILL crash my system at some point. Seems to have a lot of issues changing from one game to another or from gaming back to windows. So leave the card alone! Don't OC. ***The best experience for me? Leave the Radeon settings at standard for the least bugs and absolutely bump up the fan curve. It's made a world of difference. As has adding a small fan to focus on the junction point (ugly but effective). Keeping it cooler will prove vital to your sanity.*** FPS: 145fps in Apex at high/max settings, >200 in Fortnite and well over 100 in CoD.

You honestly can not beat this for the price. And depending on how you look at it you cant beat it at all. You can spend $400 on this card or $700 on a 2080 Super, and for the extra $300 you will only get about a 10% boost in performance. Is 10% really worth $300? NOT TO ME! I play all my games at 1440p high settings. Apex legends sits at 140-144fps. Fortnite steady at atleast 120fps, Doom Eternal sees atleast 90-100fps all the time and this is with a ryzen 7 3700x. Highly recommend this product! Just wish it wasnt so big and had a better design. But the massive heatsink keeps it nice and cool so cant complain too much.

This graph can give problems like: High temperatures Black / Blue Screens Crashing in some games or programs If you bought this graph and want to try to solve it, I give you these recommendations. 1.- Use DDU to delete all previous drivers 2.- Update the GPU Bios. On the XFX page you can find the tool and the necessary file. 3.- In case of having a 1st or 2nd gen MoBo you may need to update the Bios to the latest one. The latest bios resolve PCI-E incompatibilities and you can find options in the MoBo Bios for each generation. 4.- Do Undervolt and Underclock. I give you the values that I use with my RX 5700 XT in the image. With these steps I was able to solve all the problems with my RX 5700 XT. After almost 3 months I am still using it and although my initial experience was not totally pleasant, currently I am very happy with the GPU. The temperatures that it registered at the beginning was 85C - 100C, currently rarely above 70C. I play everything in the highest possible configuration and it maintains the FPS well, in my case I use Vsync at 75fps but it can easily go above 80fps at 1440p and above 100fps at 1080p In case none of my recommendations solve your problems, please return it and share your experience to feed back to the community. C: Have a nice day

I have had the gpu for about two weeks with no issues at all. This card will max out everything you play at 1080p with over 100fps consistently. BFV runs around 130 FPS on ultra for myself at 1080p, and drops to around 110 FPS at 1440p. Division 2 around 120 FPS max settings 1080p. Doom on Vulkan maxes out at 200 FPS on max settings 1080p. If your case is properly ventilated, with room for the card to breathe it will not over heat and crash (like many others have stated). Not one over heat or crash yet. It can be mildly OCd and gains about 5-7% performance. The aesthetics of the card are solid. Metal back plate, plastic shroud all black. The fans are a glossy black (but you never see the fans unless you have a vertical mount gpu). White XFX led logo is subtle and not over powering. This card is large taking up 2 1/2 to 3 slots on your board. But so far no issues and I’m really enjoying this card. Would highly recommend especially at the price point.

A bit long winded but very informative. Please read if you want to fix the temp problems, certain things are not mentioned about this model in how to video's that noobs will not think of. Now, do not let my five star fool you, this is only if you are willing to step the extra mile, you will get great performance. I am more or less new to tinkering with gpu's, less than a years experience, but have had quite a few over the months. 570, 5500, 1060 gaming, 1660 super. The first one i took apart was the 1060, and that was pure curiosity and good thing i did, dried up paste. This card was more confusing than that one. So first, yes I did the washer method and yes it did work. At first my pc was shutting off due to overheating the gpu and such, so I found youtube tutorials and undervolted, worked but a pain in the butt and not as well as others for me. Then I took it apart, two screws holding the heatshield and the four to the part with the thermal paste, wiggle it off. I then applied thermal grizzly. I saw a great drop in temps. Still, I wanted better. Sitting gpu temps went from 54c to 44c, and the VRM temps dropped even better. they half covered them with thermal pads...had to move them over. Then I had an idea, I went and bought washers to do that method, but then added thermal grizzly under the thermal pads then tightened it as much as I could with nylon washers without fearing I would break it. I could now tinker with wattman settings and Happy! Now settings that did not work were open to me. No true order for the pics but one has idle temps, one has temps from Heaven, and the rest include some extreme oc temps. All acceptable, great temps from Heaven at 1840mhz. and 3d mark for the more high temps.

For the price it is a decent gpu 7253 score Unigine valley ultra settings Out of the box no oc Basic oc is easy along with fan tuning There is one issue I experienced with the aib cooler One of the fans aluminum center stickers was not centered an caused vibration until it flew off at a high velocity I recommend removing them if they are not centered. 30-50fps in flight simulator Drops to 9-20fps over busy high detailed airports And screen fragments randomly about 4 frags in a 7 hour flight

I bought mine in December 2019 for $370. Fantastic card for the price. Fans are a bit noisy under heavy load, but I threw an after market gpu aio and now it’s dead silent. Goes toe to toe with my buddy’s RTX 2070S. It does everything at 1440p. Cyberpunk it gets 30fps on max settings, turning down a couple settings easily holds the locked 60fps I set for the game. Had some driver issues at first, but haven’t any issues for almost a year now.

This is my second card. The first one didn't work. I returned it, and got a second one. The second one was working great until the fans hit top speed. It started making a noise it shouldn't. I have been in contact with Mark over at XFX, who has been more than just helpful during all of this. He's very knowledgeable and patient with me while trying to make everything work out. New fans on the way, without hassle. Hopefully that fixes it, because the card itself is amazing! I will update once the new fans are installed.

I purchased this card and was using it with an older HP ZR30w monitor at 2560x1600. At this resolution, the card performed very well for my game playing including World of Warcraft, Diablo III, and Deux Ex: Mankind divided with all set to ultra quality. The card itself has a top shroud that lights up with the "XFX" logo in a nice white/blue. A few weeks into owning it I received a 4k display as a gift from Best Buy and that's where the 5700xt's limitations started to show. In the card's defense, the 5700xt is marketed for 1440p and below so there were no problems there but at 4k suddenly the fans were on full blast during most gaming sessions and what was once a steady 60fps everywhere (my old display's max refresh), suddenly plummeted into the 20's and even 10's on Deus Ex even set to lower visual levels during benchmarking where previously it was at ~60fps everywhere. I was even going to try another 5700xt, but after further testing the card had reached its limits even when VRAM usage was below 8GB. It was just an issue of it being under powered to give a consistent performance at 4k. I ended up canceling my order for the other 5700xt from Best Buy (hassle free as always) as it would have produced similar results. I ended up having to return it and purchased an RTX card from best Buy where now 4k is back to ultra quality with consistent frames and more importantly no dips into the 10's and 20's fps. But let's get back to this card. If you plan on gaming at 1080 to 1440p, this is a PHENOMENAL card, well built and runs great. It stays relatively quiet (I heard my case fans mainly) and performed as advertised. So on the marketing merits of 1440p gaming and below, it delivers as promised and it is top notch.

I recently purchased this card to replace an Nvidia RTX 1660. The card performed decent, but I'm not big fan of the RGB. I was going back and forth between this card and 2070 Super. I read about people having issues with the AMD Drivers so I was kind of leaning towards the 2070, but I saw the positive reviews for this card and ended up purchasing it. So far my experience has been great. I uninstalled all of the Nvidia software/drivers before installing this card. The install went smooth. I made sure I downloaded the most recent drivers. I actually downloaded them from the XFX web site because they had the latest update. The AMD website didn't. I am very happy with the performance of this card. I'm playing The Division 2 and I can tell a difference in visuals and performance. I'm not in the 4k realm, but the 1080P visuals are still stunning. On Ultra settings I'm averaging 100fps. Borderlands 3 also looks amazing. For those on the fence I highly recommend this card.

For the curious 1% of machine learning engineers out there that are wondering if this card would work with the Razer Core X and MacOS: yes, it works perfectly. I bought it for university-level deep neural network assignments, and the set up has saved me a lot of time. Together with PlaidML, the runtime of my TensorFlow and Keras models were decreased from hours to minutes. The card has an 8-pin and a 6-pin power connector, while the Razer Core X enclosure has 2, 6+2 power connectors. Leaving out one of the 2-pin connectors from the Razer Core X worked fine for me.

This card is performing great in my new gaming machine. It pushes 60+ fps on high graphics settings on all the most recent games. Getting the card setup was a little tricky as the fans did not spin on their own right out of the box. Good thing I was watching gpu temps as the first game I played she got up to 95c before I started trouble shooting. I was able to create a custom fan profile in both wattman and MSI afterburner software that control the fans just how I like them and keep the temps under 75c. All in all its a good card that looks cool in the system and performs just how I was hoping.

Replaced 2 GTX 970 EVGA OC cards

I have been using twin GTX 970 cards by EVGA since I first pieced my tower together back five years ago which got me by just fine until Nvidia stopped supporting SLI for my cards & 1080p on my 144hz ASUS monitor suddenly didn't pan out for the latest generation of games. I was recently gifted COD Modern Warfare 2019 & I was finally unable to play a game at my minimum standard of 60fps with all the bells and whistles. So here I am floating between a 2070 Super and the RX 5700 XT as my next card and 1440p HDR as my next tier of graphical enjoyment. After several reviews & some YT videos covering just about everything I needed to know about the current industry & what it came down to for me was a $100+ difference for less than ten percent margin on frame-rates plus Ray Tracing which to me seems to be a nice perk though limited in support right now = not cost effective IMO. It's been a long time since I used a non-Nvidia based card actually since ATI had the All-in-Wonder card series and before AMD took over. I've been eyeing putting together an AMD rig since the new Ryzen processors had been introduced & I figured now might be a decent time to do just that. How I came about buying the XFX brand of RX 5700 XT card is by viewing their portfolio of hardware and reading the reviews offered. I wanted to pick up their newest card which is the XFX RX 5700 XT Thicc III Ultra but my local Best Buy didn't carry it and I needed a card tonight so I can play my gifted game with friends and family so I picked up the XFX RX 5700 XT RAW II. I am sure I will be happy with it even though deep down inside I know what I really wanted was the Thicc III Ultra... oh well. Hahaha!! Included are a couple of pictures of my EVGA Sli cards before & their XFX replacement as evidence to my situation.

This card doesn't knock out 4K60 in AAA titles, but it is very playable around 50fps. 1440p performs well at around 95 fps. Don't expect this to crank out 2080 Ti numbers but it is one third the price of those cards... so the decision was easy. The fan noise is fairly quiet at normal clock speeds.

This card has gotten me 70+ fps on everything I play on ultra settings and Minecraft with shaders at 60+ fps. Its compatibility with multiple displays is very impressive, as I run three 1440p 144hz monitors at a time, there are no issues with this card rendering and pairing these monitors together once so ever. It is also very good for streaming on OBS or Streamlabs! Would 100% recommend this card to a friend, and to anyone who wants to make the jump to a high-end GPU.
