The right choice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been an avid Geforce person for as long as I have been building my own systems. With the newer, more demanding games it was time for me to build a new one. I had initially thought I would go with the SLI using 2 of the newer Geforce cards. While I was doing research I noticed how expensive the new Geforce cards had become and just glanced at some crossfire cards. I was amazed to find the XFX R9-270X-CDFR was equal stats in all aspects of the card and about half the price. I had tried XFX once before and quickly returned the card, but that was several years ago and I thought it wouldn't hurt to try it again. I am sold. 2 cards for the same cost as one of the Nvidia and the results not only in games, but with Netflix, Youttube, and Blu-Ray's being played on my system is awesome. Steam has also noticed a difference as many games and programs it used to tell me I couldn't play at maximum performance it now doesn't even want me to lower my resolutions or video settings.

Excellent GPU
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definately worth the money, bought this to upgrade from my Radeon 5770, huge upgrade, much needed and it is almost inaudible, much quieter than the 5770 and runs everything I can throw at it on the highest of settings, especially paired with my new Asus Sabertooth 990x and AMD FX 8350. Definately recommend buying one of these.

Good Value for money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have two of these cards now and they are mainly for gaming but they will soon transition to graphic design in the next upcoming months. Now for most people that are into graphic design they will say NVIDIA is the better option with PhysX and CUDA, however I also use these for gaming and they are a great value for the performance they put out. I use these in CrossFire since I own two of these and my only issue is the lack of those two specific features. If you want a powerful card like a GTX 760 but can't afford the extra $50 get this, it has all the same power minus a few shaders and a slower core but they are essentially equal.

Good, not perfect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own two of these cards although they are not the ones pictured above. The box said CDFC but they are in fact the CDFR models but oh well. I use these for gaming, graphic design and compiling code. They are great entry level cards and when you add two together you get more power than a GTX 770. I like the dual fan dual slot design because it fits in my case easily and they have plenty of airflow. I managed to max out BF4 with these on Ultra with 200 FPS which is the limit in that game. They are also really quiet and the 2 GB's of VRAM is really great, even though 3 would be better. I use these in a CrossFireX configuration (1 master, 1 slave) to process code more easily and these are great when working in CryEngine and UDK. I would easily recommend these to people who want power when you are on a budget.

Money well spent
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided in january2014 to build a new PC for gaming, and general multimedia PC for the house. I had initially purchased an ASUS HD7770 2GB Edition and decided to immediately upgrade when I found out about mantle. I sold my HD7770 on eBay for a 10 dollar loss and went straight to bestbuy and purchased this card, the wife was not happy when she saw the transaction on the account for right over 270.00 after tax. It was worth every penny, this card is a monster and easily overclocks to 1100mhz and 1500 memory clock. I just downloaded the Catalyst 14.2 Beta drivers and was able to get another 22-28% increase on FPS Ghosts, Thief, Hitman Absolution and pretty much any other game it did not already max out. This card is for serious gamers and power users. I used my included AMD Ruby Rewards certificate to get Thief, Dirt3, Hitman Absolution, and Sleeping Dogs. All games I was able to download instantly via steam no waiting period or mailing of proof of purchase, If you consider that this card comes with over 100 dollars worth of free games it is worth the money to go to BestBuy and get the special edition rather than order it off NEWEGG. My buddy was so impressed he went out and picked up an R7 260x the next day at BestBuy LOL. I did my first PC Build in 2003 (16 years old) Don't be scared to build people! ITS LIKE A MODEL CAR!

Easy upgrade for the right price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this card to replace a Radeon HD 6770. If you're getting this card make sure you have enough room inside your PC chassis. I found myself having to reposition my HardDrive and a number of cables to make room for the new card. Make no mistake, this thing is the size of a surfboard. With that said installation was a breeze. The only issue I've run into consistently with Radeon cards is being able to update the Catalyst drivers. Quick piece of advise, dump your previous versions of MS Visual C++. If you haven't done this before and you game you'll probably notice several versions of it sitting on your HardDrive. Getting rid of these before you update Catalyst will usually fix getting the dreaded "Installation Failed" message. All in all once the updates were complete this card performed beyond my expectations. Running both Wildstar and Warcraft MoP at max settings. For it's size the card is extremely quiet even with the dual fans.

Great Graphics Card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a 550Ti, so the quality was very noticeable for me. I have this connected to a Sharp 32" 1080p flat screen and it looks amazing. I can run all of my games at maximum graphics card setting with no lag or anything. I am truly impressed with this card. It is massive, however. It barely fit in my case (an older Antec Two Hundred). Check the specs for the size and measure your case before you buy.

Good card for sure!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's not the best of the best, but the price/performance factor is there. Used to use on-board graphics at 1050, and this is just amazing. Using steam and FREERIDER are amazing now, just awesome graphics and frame rates. Again, it's an older card, but will meet requirements for a lot of games at an affordable cost!

Great card for the price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently we needed to upgrade one of our rigs to play the new Battlefront beta. The HD7850 it had did not meet the 2GB video RAM requirements. The card went in smooth on Windows 10 and ran the Drop Zone map (10 v 10) in Battlefront beta at 48-60 FPS @ 1920x1080. The PC runs 8GB RAM and an AMD FX4300 without an SSD. It also allowed that rig to bump up Ark Survival settings to high and run smooth. One reminder: this is a large card that requires ample real estate in your case as well as TWO 6 pin power connectors with some slack. Very satisfied with the purchase.

Great for casual gamer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this card on sale as an upgrade for gaming. Mostly play RPG stuff, the increase in framerates and textures was VERY noticable! Very pleased. Card just barely fit into my Antec 900 case, if it was a 1/16 longer I would have had to move my harddrives to another bay.

Great Card For AMD Systems.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this card for a couple of months now and it still runs as strong as it did the day I bought it. It can take anything I can throw at it game wise and have it slightly overclocked as well and still runs stable. Great for someone that wants to game but on a limited budget.

Very Happy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it on sale and I can't complain about the performance at the price I paid. If it wasn't on sale when I got it I probably would not be willing to give a five star review. But I got it cheap and dollar for dollar it's great.

Pretty good for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this card and installed it in my Wife's PC. She had a dated HD6700 radeon card which hindered her performance given she had a i7 2600 3.4ghz quad core. I ran a few game with it such as BF4, wow, Crysis 3 to name a few and it excelled well in enabling full max settings on every single game we threw at it including recently shadows of mordor. The game looks amazing. We also got 4 free games to choose from which to say the least was nice, and they had a pretty good selection, I got star citizen, Alien isolation to name a few. :) Performance wise it excels for the price, anything beyond that expect to pay more. Only issues I did have was when i used her vga cable and noticed flickering issues. This was quickly resolved by purchasing a new dvi dual band cable for her. I definitely recommend this card if you want a decent card with good performance and a decent price. I found it is maybe $10 less on newegg, but I like the convenience of going to the store and grabbing one without waiting.

Best Buy at Best Buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There isn't much to say. This is a great card that Best Buy has cheaper than anyone (At the time of my purchase). It's powerful and quiet and for not much money, you have a card that will run any game available, with the right processor to prevent a bottleneck, at high/ultra settings. Easy to install though a bit on the long side, the 270x is easily the best card I've owned and the most anticipated for me since the mid 1990's when ATI was making the Viper series of cards.
