Flies easily, easy to set up. Great pictures and easy to send to phone. If you fly it too far and lose connection it finds its way back to you. Great Drone!

I'm not a very picky consumer but this case warrants a full review to warn drone buyers of the poor customer service at Yuneec. I bought my Mantis in December 2018. Receipt included in the images. I used the drone 4 times in the month of May the longest flight being 9 minutes, full flight logs included in the images. The first three flights were fine. The drone worked well and returned as described. On the forth flight, after just 5 minutes, at full battery life (flight log included in images here) the drone disappeared from my screen. It was only 755 meters away, well within the range Yuneec claims the drone can fly, infact that's about half the distance. The weather was perfect, my phone was not low on battery, screen shots included of the screen when the drone was lost. I walked closer to the drone to attempt to reconnect and searched the area in the flight path for several hours ... No luck. At this point I was not discouraged, I figured I'd call Yuneec and perhaps they would stand behind their product by either making an effort to help me locate the drone. And if not, they'd send me a replacement. I've attached email correspondence. I first sent customer service an email as prescribed in the instructions. Their response is included in the image here. Basically they said they couldn't help me and referred me to another agent. This is fine, however Instead of referring the request and creating a ticket for me. They simply replyed and told me to start over with the new agent. This wasted a couple of days and was the beginning of my frustration. Once resubmitted the new request I was asked a few questions then waited a few days for a response. They then requested the flight logs and additional information which I responded to within hours of recieving the request. A few days later they responded claiming the ticket was assigned to someone who will review the logs and respond within 5-7 biz days. After 8 days with no response I started requesting updates. I provided all of my answers and flight logs on May 30th. It's now June 22, I send daily requests for updates. No response from Yuneec, not even an automated response to let me know there might be delays. Although the drone itself seemed fine and decent quality. I'm left with a remote and no drone and absolutely no response from Yuneec. I bought this drone to save a few dollars vs the DJI Mavic. I live in Michigan and only have a few months to enjoy the drone. Months lost. Don't waste your money on this unreliable drone with terrible support... Neighbors have DJI Mavic and I really enjoy watching them enjoy it thru the window while I wait for a response from Yuneec.

It supposed to be controlled in a radio range of 4921 feet. But it only gets 300 feet at most. - Visual track does not work - Face detection does not work - Joystick does not work - Camera is difficult move - It does not land where it took off So far very disappointing. Good thing. It is well constructed, battery life is good. 25 minutes flying. Video quality is OK.

No other Drone even comes close to the Mantis Q when it comes to ease of use: Flight time (33 minutes) Speed (44mph) Picture quality (4k) Price (I paid $449.99 at Best Buy). Forget about all the hype regarding obstacle avoidance..Why? Because what they don't tell you is that on every single drone that has obstacle avoidance activated, the maximum speed is limited to 15mph or less... How boring is that? Forget it. Take it from me, DRONUT.. All you have to do is practice in an open field and get to learn this Mantis Q.. Then, when you're more comfortable with it, take the Mantis Q by some trees and fly it around until you get more comfortable with obstacles around.. After that, fly it around the neighborhood until you get more comfortable with more obstacles... Then after that, fly your Mantis Q in your house! If you can fly it in your house without crashing it... You have just mastered the most difficult part of drone flying. The Most important part of owning a Drone is pre-flight preparation... #1. Make sure your battery is fully charged... Double Check it. #2. Make sure your phone is fully charged. #3. Make sure to always clean your Drone.. #4. Be aware of people and motorists. #5. Always respect others privacy. #6. Never let your family or friends fly your drone... Tell them to get their own. It's sounds mean, but You're going to fall in Love with this Mantis Q... and imagine if someone else damages it. #7. Encourage someone else to purchase a drone and join you in having fun... It's way better flying drones with others. #8. BUY THE GEEK SQUAD PROTECTION PLAN!!! Why do I say this? Drone technology is still relatively new and anything can happen.. The drone can fail or you could make a mistake in a blink of an eye.... How do I know this? Because it happened to me and I didn't have the protection plan. By the way, it was my friend that lost my drone... not me. I liked my friend prior to the loss... I don't like my friend anymore but we're still friends. In Closing, No other drone gives you as much as the Mantis Q for the price... Not even close... Your Friend, Dronut.

This was my first drone purchase though I know a few people that own the DJI Mavic Pro. So far the Mantis Q has impressed me with camera quality on both photos & videos, it’s easy to use and fly, it’s foldable, and seems well made. The return to home feature is ok at best it comes back close to where it took off where the Mavic Pro hits it right one the money. Once again for the price difference I’m not going to complain. I have been averaging 23 mins or better on a battery charge and depending on what I’m doing I have gotten the full 30 minutes but that’s not taking any pictures or video and very little wind. But for under $500.00 I’d definitely buy it again.

So far I’ve had about 4 flights under my belt and it flies great! Responsive and quick on sport mode and the live view on your phone is awesome! Buuuut the drone tends to drift a lot with little or no wind even indoors. Sometimes it can hover with no issue but most times you have to constantly correct. The camera is great but with no stabilization during movement, it’s really difficult to get the shot you want unless you’re still. I’m not a photographer so no biggie! It’s a great drone to mess around with and explore. If you’re a photographer then maybe go with a DJI.

This drone is awesome it flys well handles amazing. But I give it four stars bc it has no obstacle avoidance. Plus there’s no stabilization on 4K video, but with good skills and you like to film in 1080p this is really a nice drone. If your in sport mode I suggest you remember where your brake button is. But I love the drone would recommend it to anyone who can fly well! Thank you bestbuy!

I bought this drone to record my proposal to my now fiance. It was a choice between this and one of the DJI competitors (Maverick Spark I believe?). To be honest the only reason I went with this one was because the other was out of stock. That being said, this thing is an absolute thrill to fly and was able to do what I needed it for. The camera is good but not the greatest. The drone itself is extremely easy to fly and has built in stabilization. Even when flying in high winds it kept surprisingly stable. The reason I'm giving this 4 starts was because of a slight software glitch when retrieving the actual proposal video off of the device. I was downloading the video from the drone to my phone and it got stuck at 80% for 10+ minutes before I decided to press cancel. After having cancelled the download, ALL of the videos on the drone were seemingly deleted. They could no longer be viewed and the video library said it was empty. This was quite a scare as I was quite happy with the original video of the proposal. I pulled out the SD card and put it inside my laptop and the videos did in fact make it. This has only happened once in the few weeks that I've had this drone, but it was during the time when I needed it most. 4/5, I recommend this product.

Owning lot of drones and good experience with Yuneec breeze I wanted this drone to be my back up for travel. Out of the box the controller was amazing, there was very less update. But compass calibration was a big hassle , the gimbal is unusable for videography precise controls, speech recognition is good , battery life is amazing, but very unstable, if you want a safe drone , this is not it. If you are buying for fpv or sport mode flight may be. 4K videos lack details, literally there is nothing you can do with the footage. Lands very hard on the ground. Banking in sport mode is scary . Amazing drone for windless situation. Not for Los Angeles

This my 3rd drone. I have 2 small ones before this. I am a recreational droner and traveller that wants videos and pictures taken when I travel. It got 30mins of flight time and takes very clear pictures The video is awesome. I don’t care about if doesn’t have a 3 axis gimbal you only have to practice and control to have a smoother video. I love the half hour flight time, clear pictures, and video. I like this better than the Spark.

This drone is unbelievable. Picture quality is great. I cannot believe how fast it is in sport mode. We clocked it at over 45 miles per hour. And the camera image was steady and no blur during hi speed maneuvers. Voice and hand commands are spot on. Face recognition is flawless. Flight time over 30 minutes. An all around great drone. WELL worth the money

First of all this is my first drone... Very well packed, will keep the box until I get a carrying case the assembly was super easy, Just Plug the Battery after charging it and download the App on my phone. at the start you will need also to download an Update (today 12/2019) and a firmware update, after that voila... turn them both on and enjoy the flight... Very important, if you are new to Drones, be on a Park or open area so you can practice and get use to the movements of the drone, if windy be careful with the electric cables and posts (Miami FPL lines) It has stability control, Home location return, start flight and landing commands on screen... easy to fly will keep this updated

Bought this drone and kept it for a month. Loved the drone for it’s price point. Once a month came up, I got a fever for a higher level drone and purchased the Autel Evo and never looked back. The Mantis Q is a fantastic beginner drone!
