    In love with this keyboard

This keyboard has transformed my iPad into a laptop. I'm able to type faster when taking notes in class or just writing emails. The keys are comparable to a regular keyboard you would have on a laptop they are hard not rubbery so it makes it a lot easier to punch each key down. The lights in the background of the keyboard are a nice touch as well especially at night when I don't have too many lights on and its a little dim in the room. It is very light weight, it doesn't make the iPad look bulky at all in fact it looks sleek. The battery life on the keyboard is great I have had it for about 2 months so far and the indicator for battery life is still green. I have researched SO many keyboards to meet my criteria for my iPad and this has met everything I needed and wanted. Although this keyboard I would say is overpriced when for regular price, but it was on sale when I purchased it AND take advantage of Best Buys price match! Just look up this product and show them a lower price from somewhere else and they will honor it even online places such as Amazon! I got the black case which still looks clean and hasn't faded in the past 2 months but I have seen the white case and although at first the white case looks nice when you first buy it I have to say it looks beat after a few months of use. The white case shows wear and tear a lot more.

I REALLY LOVE THIS CASE AND KEYBOARD

I shopped around on Amazon and Best Buy, read all the reviews and finally settled on this one. I have not regretted it since. The keyboard and case are just as thin as what I had with just my Belkin leather case. I know other people with Ipat 2's and looked at their cases and did not like what they had. They were usually bulkier, heavier or just not what I liked. I am typing this review with my Ipad cas right now. The light built into the pro keyboards are great. They have many colors you can select and you have different brightnesses you can select. Some guy wrote in and said he could not see the lighted keys in a dark room with the lights turned off. I think that guy was blind. There are three brightness levels and it lightss up the letter itself and gives a little background light. The caps key lights up anytime you use it. Everything on the keyboard is right where you want it. I does have onnly one tilt angle but I have found that it is the most useful and funtional angle you can get witth this type of case. The keyboard has an unbelievable battary life, 2 to 4 months and turns on automatically when you open up the case. You can turn it off if you don't want the keys to function. When I read a night I will turn off the keyboard and flip the case backwards and I have found just the perfect way to hold it to read. The Ipad also slips out very easily if you want to reduce the weight for whatever use you may have in mind. I have shown this case to many people and gave it my highest recommendation. If you are looking for an Ipad 2 or 3 keyboard, I highly recommend this one. One last note, it does not have a very strong magnet for locking it closed but it does not really need it, so don't frett if you think it is defective. I looked at two in the store and they were both pretty much the same. It holds together just fine, I haven't dropped it but I think it would hold together and not be damaged. Also their are no speaker holes. It has a built in vent that funnels tthe sound to the front. It sounds fine but I usuallly use bluetooth devices to listen anyway.

I did a lot of researching to find what would fit my needs and ultimately went with the Zaggkey Pro Plus and I am glad I did. Other products out there offer some of the same features of this one but very few offer all of what it does and Zagg once again brings a lot to the table and in a high quality manner. If you are considering keyboards in the $100 and over range I would definately start here first. If you want that MacBook Air look, you might want to check out The Brydge ($170 or $210). I did not want that look or that expense and we all know how quickly/easily those pretty aluminum surfaces can scratch. You will know very quickly if it the Zaggkey Pro Plus is for you or not. Just be aware of the return policy wherever you decide to buy. I am a Best Buy Premier Silver Reward Zone member which gives me a generous 60-day period to make up my mind. I am still using an iPad 2. I plan on upgrading in the fall of 2013 when the rumored next gen comes out. Hopefully this will be compatible. Pro's (for me): All to you have to do is pair the device (seconds) and you are ready to go, backlit keyboard (7 colors), easy to type with responsive and well spaced keys, short cut keys (lock, search, home screen, volume, etc), sturdy case with ample device protection, slim design, texture helps for griping while carrying, strong magnets ensure proper closure, iPad goes to sleep when you close the case and comes back instantly when opened, integrated slot to position the iPad for viewing (landscape only) which holds it in place nicely, on/off switch for keyboard, bluetooth pairing button, cut-outs for easy access to all ports including rear facing camera, easy to put iPad in the case and get it out, long battery life (I am still on initial charge after aound 2 months with moderate daily use), great design and feel overall. Check out Zagg's website for more details and video review. Also try YouTube. Con's: Only one viewing angle which is perfect on a desk or table but when sitting it on my lap it takes a little positioning to get comfortable for typing/viewing. You can however lay the keyboard completely flat while the iPad is still attached should you wish to do so and the iPad is easly removed as well. This case only provides for landscape viewing which does not bother me but it is worth pointing out. The added weight and thickness of the case may be an issue for some but all the clamshell type keyboard cases will add to both of those factors that draw many to tablet design. If that is a deterent to you than look at options other than clamshell. That being said it is by no means too heavy or clunky. Nor does it do anything to compromise portability. Again, you are getting added protection (front/back) and a connected keyboard. You can always slip out the iPad for those times when you don't want to carry the keyboard (easy and no fumbling or worrying about breaking any tabs that hold it in place,...slide design). Lastly would be the cost. A keyboard of around $130 will turn a lot of people off especially when you have added the cost of what you have already spent on the iPad. However, the same point can be raised that you as a consumer made a decision to buy a high end tablet when there are plenlty of cheaper ones available. You are getting a great product for your money in both.

I've had a lot of cases for my iPads over the years and this one is by far the best. First off the battery life is phenomenal! I haven't had to charge the battery once and it still registers as a full battery. I use this keyboard almost daily for hours on end while working. Out of the other keyboards I have tried this is by far the most comfortable. There are no odd spots for the keys at all. Some of the other cases had that and I couldn't get used to them being different than a normal desktop keyboard. With this case, I have replaced my laptop and just use my iPad to Remote Desktop in. It's quicker and easier than anything j have ever used before.

    Very nice iPad keyboard/case...but...

This cover/case/keyboard has been a great addition to my iPad, getting me very close to having the iPad replace most of the work I typically would need a laptop for. It is very lightweight and slim compared to other keyboard cases and the keys have very good tactile feel like you are using a laptop keyboard. Backlit keys are a must for working in low light conditions such as in flight, in conference sessions, etc. ( would be better if they kept light from leaking out from edges of keys). But...there are two fairly important drawbacks that keep me from giving it a 5 star rating; the keys occasionally produce double hits (two of the same character for only one quick keypress) (Note: this has been extensively tested to eliminate possibility of user error, and verified with other owners.). Errors show up as red underlines and so are fairly easy to correct. Second issue is that the case cannot be folded back on itself so that the iPad can be used in a portrait orientation in your hand. This makes it difficult to use apps that only work in portrait mode or as a handwritten note pad. Battery life has been excellent so far. Overall, I have and will continue to recommend this keyboard/case with caveats.

The entire reason I bought this was for the backlit keyboard-- and I am so glad I did. I love being able to work in low light situations on my ipad. Tapping on the screen just isn't the same thing, the keyboard is so much better. It charges via usb, and it holds its charge for a long time. Every few weeks I plug it in, even though it is still working. The only drawback is the inability to adjust the angle of the screen. There's one setting and that's it. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this.

One thing I have struggled with is finding an iPad keyboard that would allow my hammer hands to type effectively. I had the Logitech metal one that was a clamshell type. iPad snapped down into which was nice and secure. Problem was the edges were really sharp and my hammer hands created issues. I never used it so I ended up giving it away. This keyboard is absolutely perfect. Backlit keys. Long battery life. Ease of use. Real keys so you know when you have struck one vs the rubber mat types. An excellent product. Highly recommended for the iPad user who needs to type on their tablet often like me.

Went to many stores trying to find a keyboard case that would fit our iPad2. Since it is an older model such a case was hard to find. However, this one is great - glad we finally found it at Best Buy. Works well, and charging it once lasts for weeks and weeks! IT is really useful for a 12 hour long shift at work. Would definitely recommend it.

Best of three keyboards I've tried

This keyboard provides the best utility for my iPad of the three keyboards I've tried. It properly positions the iPad screen for easy reading and good functionality while typing. The keys seem to be crisp and provide good tactile feel. The covering affords good protection for the iPad as well as the keyboard itself. Bluetooth syncing is pretty seemless. Battery life of the keyboard is good and the USB charging cable which accompanies the keyboard works very well. Charging time is relatively short. I have encountered a few minor bugs involving the color of the backlighting of the keys and the operating guide doesn't give much information on this subject. Usually the matter can be corrected by simply powering down, then reenergizing, the keyboard. All in all, a very good buy.

This keyboard attaches magnetically like the i-pad's native cover. It also turns the device off and on when you open and close it. The backside of the keyboard matches my i-Pad's silver finish and looks like it was meant to be there. It is thin, light, has great battery management, and controls all of the i-pad functions (like sound) in the same way a mac keyboard works. It sports a real set of tactile keys, and so gives the right amount of feedback when your pounding out that novel or love letter. It is also fairly light, though not as light as its membrane cousin, nor as immune to spills. The only downside is that the keys are not backlit, and that the backside of the i-Pad is not protected. Even so, I returned another keyboard with those features in favor of this one, because it easily detaches for those times when it would just be in the way; like when taking pictures, video, or showing someone something on FaceTime. Great product! Does what it says it does, and does it well.

    Best Keyboard I Have Purchased!

This is actually my third ZAGG keyboard. The first one I purchased from Best Buy worked brilliantly for just under a week and then abruptly stopped working and would not charge. I promptly returned it to Best Buy and exchanged the bad one for my second ZAGG keyboard. I've had no issues ever since and have been completely satisfied. My wife tried my keyboard out, liked it so much that we ended up purchasing one for her. The functionality of the Bluetooth keyboard was smooth, fluid and connecting to my iPad was effortless. Even with big hands typing on the keyboard was comfortable. The built-in stand is sturdy and I find the angle to be perfect for typing and viewing other media. The cover seems sturdy and has taken a little abuse but I would not trust it to protect my iPad from a long fall. I have tried numerous keyboard/cover combos for my iPad over the years and this one is by far the best. Only two cons for me, one is the price (but then again, you get what you pay for I guess) and number two is I wish the cover could fold back on its' self so when reading a book for example, currently it folds into a wedge shape, not completely flat which can be a little cumbersome.

This keyboard is far better than my old one. It's quiet and feels very sturdy. I haven't used the back-lit function yet but that will come in handy when I use it in the dark. I've been using it for a week and haven't had to recharge it yet. I imagine that would be different if I was using the back-lit function. I like that when I close the case, it turns off my iPad; something my old case/keyboard did not do.

I bought this keyboard half worried it was too good to be true. I was very happy when it lived up to the reviews. I have had it for about a month, and I have yet to need to charge the thing. The case is really sturdy and sleek. It is convenient when you have little desk space, as my college tends to have. Good quality for what I paid for.
