This is the best cable modem to replace from any cable company if one does not have a home phone number....This modem however does not have a phone jack if your looking to use your home phone.

I did have difficulty with setup and had to phone the cable company twice to complete. I expected auto connect and that did not happen. ...Works great with Cox Cable; easy setup-phone call to Cox to provision...

But with Comcast connect app, we am able to get our home phone calls to our cell phones and or tablets....No phone hookup on this unit for internet phone...Great product but will not serve for cable phone...
