Good camera for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You get more than what you pay for, Is just a plain camera, but the waterproof case itself justify the price.

How to increase the recording time on the battery.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A decent cheap "No-Pro". I got this for $56 on June 25, 2018 at Walmart in Maui. It takes good video when it goes, even if it's jerky. Framerates at 4K drop to 10fps which is not great for fast action video, but good for slow moving high detail shots. 1080p which still looks great on most displays goes at 60fps which seems quite crisp. Inside the waterproof shell, it did not leak when I went snorkeling with it. Audio was very hit and miss; some video had audio, some not, mostly not useful for making videos to post. You will need an extra mounting kit. Battery life was a bit limited. It ONLY supports up to a 32GB CARD. I had to buy a smaller card after the fact to make this work. Another BIG problem is to be sure it is NOT in time lapse mode. I lost pretty much ALL my underwater shots due to it being in timelapse mode and a 10-15 min video was over in 2-3 seconds. Timelapse is no use at all on this camera since your battery will be gone before you can shoot your whole video. Just be sure it's NOT in time lapse and you're golden for some action video at 1080p, and some slow shots at 4K. As always, read your owner manual, not included but available to search online.

Good little camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want a GoPro but don't want to pay the price, go borrow from your 401K and spend the money anyway. If you want a decent little camera that will give you adequate but not "best ever" pictures and videos for a much better price, then buy this little guy. I bought it to take on vacation so we could take pics and video of the family splashing around at the pool and the ocean without dragging my DSLR or (ridiculously over-priced Galaxy Note) to the water. This thing is waterproof, sturdy, and takes pretty good images. The videos are better in my opinion, but that may be because I have a really good still camera. All in all, it's worth the money.

Nice little camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a last minute gift for our girls. They love to do videos of each other, and the "kiddie" action cam they ha was pretty sad. For $50 you get all the accessories, and a decent waterproof HD camera. So far, so good.

Good for mediocre recording
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw this on the Deal of the Day and it was a fair price, so I got it. I mainly wanted it for my toddler son who loves to ride his Strider bike, play sports, and just had a lot of reactions to different things, so I wanted to be able to at least hear him, not so much pay attention to the video itself. The quality is what you'd expect from a low-end action camera. There's no way for me to transfer via wifi or anything like that, but I found a way to connect a USB cable from the camera to my phone and transfer it that way--cutting the middle man aka laptop. The volume is kind of low, even at full volume on whatever device Im using to view the view. But for the price I bought it for, I can't complain too much. My son loves that it's his own camera. The kit came with a helmet strap and bike handlebar attachment. I ended up buying a chest strap and modifying it so that it fit his tiny toddler body so I could record his reactions at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. He ended up having a good time and was not bothered by his camera at all. All in all, if I wanted to record more quality stuff, Id get a GoPro but this is perfectly fine for my intentions.

great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this little camera for my boy scout son to take on a canoe trip but first tested it on a family tubing trip down the river. Camera worked great in the rain and water and got some nice photos. two down sides the battery at full charge died before the trip was over (3 hours floating) and the remote watch that comes with it is not waterproof at all.

Inexpensive action camera
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Vivitar action camera is an inexpensive beginners choice. The camera takes good quality wide angle action shots. if you are looking for taking shots from a distance, the Vivitar does not offer a zoom. The Vivitar camera is very easy to use with the helmet and bike connectors and works well with a osmos style handheld unipod.
