- A: AnswerI got this router in a closet, on the main floor. goes through the closet, into the basement, across 3 walls to reach the very corner and I still get about 70% of my plan speeds. The range tanks outside though.

Q: QuestionCan this be added to a Deco XE75 Mesh system?(2 answers)
A: AnswerNo, not if you are looking to create a Mesh network between the two. Deco and Archer are not compatible in a Mesh environment. if you were to use one as a router and the other in AP mode they could work together but it would be separate networks. And one of the systems would loose a lot of its value as all it would be is an WAPAnswered by TPLinkSupport

- A: AnswerHi JT! If you are asking whether you can use your existing VPN software on your conneced devices, then yes, the router supports VPN passthrough. If you are asking about VPN Server/Client capabilities, the router supports OpenVPN, PPTP VPN, and L2TP VPN functionality in both Server and Client capacity.

- A: AnswerMaximum connected client device quantity will depend on various factors including network bandwidth usage, how many devices are on each band, and other environmental variables within the network. Yes, you can connect it to your existing modem/router via Ethernet. However, it is generally recommended to only have one router in a network, so we would suggest setting the C7000 in modem-only, or "bridge" mode.

The Best Router
Man honestly one of the best investments ive ever made. I have spectrum and i got tired of always reseting their routers so i took a chance on this one and man was i surprised how fast this is and its so simple to set up. Im literally getting 1,157 mbps of download and 40 mbps of upload, before i was getting barely 400 and 15

Great option if you need 6e today
Works great and I got it on sale. I'm only using the 6G band to connect to a Quest 3 and it's super fast. The other bands work well too. Admittedly, my place is on the small side but the signal from this router seems to be quite powerful. WiFi 7 routers might be out in the next year so consider waiting on upgrading if you don't need 6e today.

Wonderful Router SPECTACULAR performance!
This thing is absolutely amazing. Replaced a new Nest “Pro” 3 node mesh with this single router. My house is 1600 square feet. From the BACK YARD I am getting wireless speeds of >500 Mbps to my IPhone 13 Pro, and the worst RSSI of the 45 devices in my home is -44. That is a camera on a shed in my back yard at the far opposite end of my house from the router. All of my wired devices are getting better than 940 Mbps down and up from my 1 Gb fiber service. I am TOTALLY impressed and have had absolutely no issues with this router. After my extreme disappointment with the Nest WiFi “Pro”, it is so nice to be excited about my smart home again! Absolutely no need for a “mesh” with this demon….
