Very quiet
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this dishwasher, it is so quiet that I have to lean against it just to make sure it is running. Gets the dishes really clean. I did have problems at first getting it installed by Best Buy. I was supposed have received a $100 gift card from BB for my trouble and I have yet to get it.

Bosch 800 Series Towel Rack Handle
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We replaced our old Bosch dishwasher that served us for 15 years and was still working but because of the age decided it was time. The choice was easy another Bosch, this time the 800 series with the towel handle. All we can say is Bosch hit a home run with the 800 series. It is very quiet and it cleans the dishes and silverware leaving them like new. It also cleans plastic just as good. We are really impressed with the drying of the Bosch 800 series as it really does dry plastic as good as they say it does. After you are using the dishwasher I recommend the door be left cracked open so it does not get musty. When you leave the door cracked open it allows the dishwasher to breathe. You will need to press the off indicator so it does not flash the display on the top of the door. We were happy with our 15 year old Bosch dishwasher but this new 800 series is even better. The install was easy and straight forward. One word of caution is Bosch uses a 3/4 inch water intake fitting, think of your garden hose. You will need to purchase a 90 degree dishwasher elbow at a hardware store. You need the 3/8 inch X 3/4 inch dishwasher elbow. Once you have the dishwasher elbow the install is easy and you can do it in about 30 minutes. We highly recommend the Bosch 800 series dishwasher.

The best dishwasher we’ve had!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love our new dishwasher thanks to Best Buy! We had originally ordered a similar model directly through Bosch 5 months ago only to find out the model was discounted after waiting for 3 months! We cancelled and ordered from Home Depot to also be disappointed by them when they informed us that our delivery would be delayed by 3 more weeks. Thank goodness Best Buy had this one available! It is so quiet and cleans our dishes so well with so many options. It also dries all of our dishes including our plastic containers surprisingly well using CrystalDry without the use of heat. The third rack for utensils is also very nice! We are very happy with this dishwasher and hope it lasts much longer than our short lived Maytag and Whirlpool ones we’ve had in the last 10 years.

Best dishwasher!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was so worth waiting for the Bosch 800 series dishwasher to be in stock. This dishwasher does it's job of cleaning very well and the glassware and dishes are completely dry and spot free. A great feature is that this dishwasher is really quiet; you can't hear it running even when you are standing right in front of it. A pleasant surprise was how useful the third rack is for large utensils, flatware and ramekins. I'm so happy with this purchase!

So quiet! Top of the line
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes the cycle is a little long but worth it. It's virtually silent. Everything comes out spotless and clean with no water spots. Red light is super handy as you can't hear when it's done. Only thing to watch is red light goes off before it's done drying. So give it a few after the light goes off if u want completely dry. Was happy with best buy install. worth every penny! Was deciding between this and Samsung and glad I went with the Bosch. Only thing I dislike is it's not fingerprint resistant. So I have to windex evey cpl days. I don't mind though, it's worth it for a great dishwasher.

So Quiet!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So much quieter than our previous dishwasher. Dries well for us, a bit of water left over on the tops of coffee cups (upside down), but that’s about it. Amazing cleaning power and can tell that the machine is built to last. Beginning to see why Bosch is a highly recommended dishwasher brand!

Absolutely BEST Dishwasher EVER!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a lot of research before I finally settled on this Bosch 800 series dishwasher. When I finally decided to purchase it, I went EVERYWHERE to find it, and no one had it in stock in February 2021. I was told it was due to the pandemic, and there was a 3-4 month waiting period. I was disappointed that I had to wait...but I am so glad I did!! This is by far, the BEST dishwasher!! It has so many wonderful features, not the least of which is how quiet it is. I can start a load at any time if the day, (not just at bedtime!), and can actually stand right next to it and carry on a conversation with my family. The dishes come out absolutely sparkling clean, and because there is no heating element element I can put plastic ware wherever it fits without fear of it melting or warping.

Q: QuestionMy Dishwasher does not dry at all what am I doing wrong? I just bought and ran about two cycles dishes and dishwasher is completely wet.
Asked by Drying.
- A:Answer I use three dishwasher products that the company recommends: FINISH Quantum tablets and FINISH Rinse Aid Jet Dry ( and FINISH Dishwasher cleaner once a week). I don't use any other products now because they do not work as well as the recommended ones. My dishes are cleaning and drying perfectly.

Q: QuestionThis is the 2nd time we’ve run the dishwasher. I started it this morning (normal, crystal dry) - it is now 9:00 pm and the red light is still flashing on the floor. Is this normal?
Asked by Mcb.
- A:Answer The flashing red light means you didn’t press the start button. Once you press the start button the flashing red light changes to a steady red light and your cycle begins normally. Anytime you open the door during a cycle the light flashes. Press the start button again to continue the cycle and close the door, your red light should stay steady and your cycle continues.

Q: QuestionDo you really see a difference with crystal dry. Is it worth the extra money
Asked by mps1.
- A:Answer It’s hard to believe how hot this gets and how well it works. You have to wait a while before touching the dishes.... There is even a sanitize setting. I think it is well worth the money.

Q: Questiondoes the Bosch have a water heater built in
Asked by billybob.
- A:Answer Hi billybob, thank you for your question and interest in Model:SHXM78Z55N. Yes, Bosch dishwashers' flow-through water heaters increase water temperature inside the appliances, eliminating the need to pump hot water into them. The heaters can raise water temperature as high as 162 degrees Fahrenheit. In conventional dishwashers, water falls randomly onto a heater coil at the bottom of the appliances. These coils remain heated throughout the wash cycles, making them extremely hot. This often melts plastic items placed on the bottom racks. However, the Bosch dishwashers' flow-through water heater is confined, preventing its coils from damaging household items and ensuring water is heated more thoroughly. While traditional dishwashers only heat portions of the water that lands onto the coils, Bosch dishwashers heat 100 percent of the water that passes through its heating chamber between tightly spaced coils.

Q: QuestionWhat is the depth of the towel bar handle? I need something less than 1.5" for a cabinet drawer to clear the dishwasher towel bar when opening (the dishwasher is next to a corner cabinet). Thanks.
Asked by Dvdk.
- A:Answer Hi Dvdk, thank you for your question and interest in Model:SHXM78Z55N. The depth of the Bar Handle is 2 inches in the center and 1 3/4 inches on the side. We also have a Pocket Handle Dishwasher, Model: SHPM78Z55N that might be a better solution for you.

Q: QuestionDoes this have a hard food disposer?
Asked by STEVEN.
- A:Answer Hi STEVEN. Thank you for your question. Model:SHXM78Z54N does not have a hard food disposer. All Bosch dishwashers utilize a Triple Filtration System. The Bosch® 3 part filter system is designed to prevent the need to pre-rinse normally attached food soils from your dishes. Simply scrape left over food soil off of dishware before loading. This process will conserve time, water and the energy require to heat your household water supply. Your dishwasher filter system is designed to filter 100% of the water entering the spray arms to provide a continuous supply of clean water to remove food soils from your dishware.

Q: QuestionWhat’s the minimum and maximum height of this machine? I’m assuming the legs are adjustable, right? I’m trying to fit it in a 34” tall space
Asked by Monica.
- A:Answer The Bosch website shows a height range from 33-7/8" min to 35" max. You should be good with 34" but just barely.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between appliance with sound reduction systems and ones without?
Asked by Maximum.
- A:Answer It is just like living in a house that has insulation in the walls and one that doesn’t. Insulation traps the noise so you don’t get to hear it much, hence a quieter dishwasher. This dishwasher is quiet; the insulation keeps the heat inside to dry your dishes. I am not an electrical or sound engineer but that is what I understand, and it’s been working fine for me so far.
