A:AnswerThey didn't even bother to call me to notify that there would be no delivery. Got an email, though, in the middle of the night saying oopsie...
Had been waiting patiently since the order date of 6/18 for a delivery on 7/24. End of August is what they're now saying. Super not happy!
A:AnswerYou certainly do not need an app for a workout. The IC4 monitor tracks all of your activity....time, distance, calories, speed, cadence, etc. I ride with the peloton app most of the time, but enjoy my own workout for the longer rides.
A:AnswerIt is easy to use. The cautions I would have are that the seat is a racing style saddle so it is narrow. The flywheel is heavy and there is no handbrake so you have to slow with your legs while still on the pedals. If you stop pedaling while at speed the inertia of the flywheel will give you a bit of a push. Last the bike seated position leans over in a spin style meaning you can’t really sit up tall with your hands on the handlebars.
A:AnswerThe box for the IC4 is 40" x 33.5" x 10" and weighs about 100 pounds.
I had to drive an hour to a store that had this in stock so I wanted to make sure it would fit in my car. Luckily it did fit.
Takes two people to move it around though because it's very heavy.
A:AnswerSo I wanted to clarify and correct a recent answer I provided... it seems the bike does integrate with Apple Health via Bluetooth among others to track time, distance, and calories. Here is the website provided that was provided by the manual that came with the bike: https://www.schwinnfitness.com/app.html
Scroll down the page to see the complete list of sync options. But I do appreciate the flexibility and various ways to use this bike to tailor your own workout routine and tracking if you wish.
A:AnswerYou have to be quick on the draw. I just randomly checked last night 6/8 at 3 am and they had in stock so I jumped on it. Checked once again this morning and they had already been sold out. Seems like they put in in stock every so often but have very limited numbers. If you see one in stock, jump on it quick or someone else will. Mine should be here in about a month.
A:AnswerDon't assume that. 5 weeks ago i scheduled my delivery for tomorrow and they just called to say they cant deliver it and are pushing it another 6 weeks
A:AnswerGosh, I suppose for a very competitive hill climber that might be true. For a cycling work out like peloton or similar you can get a pretty good load. I am in decent shape and have ridden for a long time. At 50 years old, I stay in the middle to lower third of the resistance range and it’s more than enough. It is magnetic, so it’s silent but cannot truly lock the wheel like a friction brake. To me it’s worth the trade for the smoothness and quietness
A:AnswerWhile the monitor is asleep, press and hold the up and down arrow simultaneously for three seconds. This will gray out everything but the units. Press the up or down button to cycle between KM and MI. When MI is displayed, press the return button (bottom middle). The next time you start, it will be in miles.
A:AnswerHi Courtney, The Schwinn IC4 height recommendations are 4'6-6-6' for adjustments and can be adjusted to the shortest setting for ease. We recommend the Assembly Manual for the reference guide, located on our website toward the bottom, under "Product Manuals." - Schwinn Team
A:AnswerThe pedals that come with the bike have dual functionality. One side has the standard cages and the other side has the clip in feature. If you want to change them anyway, they do take standard pedals.
A:AnswerI highly recommend buying it through Amazon or another retailer besides Best Buy. I tried ordering it through here when it was in-stock and each time it was scheduled for delivery, it never showed up and they blamed it on inventory inconsistencies (despite me having a scheduled delivery date and time). After having this happen to me three times, I got fed up of their poor customer service and inconsistent delivery dates and checked Amazon. Luckily, it was in-stock. I ordered it via Amazon and received it in less than a week!
A:AnswerYes, the flywheel spins very quietly and this bike does not require a huge amount of space. We have a sunroom connected to our master bedroom and my wife and I can get up early and ride without disturbing each other's sleep. The footprint of floor space need is very reasonable... we use a space of about 4 feet by 5 feet, but could be somewhat less if needed.
