Portable and compact but powerful power station

Powerful little power station. The built in lights are perfect for camping. I was able to get charge speeds of about 330-337wh through the AC port that were available at the campsite. My 100watt solar panel was able to charge at around 85 wh through peak sunlight. I was able to power all my camp lights and charge all my electronics for 2 full days. It is lightweight and compact. It is light enough to take it for a short hike. My only complaint is the 12V DC port doesn’t come with a cover. It leaves it open for debris and dust. Anker should’ve incorporated a cover. A simple fix for this is to purchase a $5 12v port cover.

This Anker Power station is small enough to carry around and powerful enough to be the perfect park or campsite companion. It works perfectly with my portable kettle and mini cooker that’s rated at 300 watts. I’ve been buying Anker power banks for years and will continue!!! Hope this helps others make a decision.

Great little gizmo. Powers my monitor, laptop and phone for roughly 3 hours and battery level was still at 50%. I did try connecting my coffee machine to it but it didn’t work with my coffee maker. Shared gizmo with coworkers and they loved it as they could connect their modem and laptop to it and work most of the day during recent power outages.

I use the units to reboot home wifi modem, access point and WiFi extender while in UPS mode. I make sure two are on a separate WiFi channel and the modem is on Bluetooth. The units are like little tanks. Solid piece of battery technology, and I mean solid. I would recommend this to any friend of mine, I’m very confident in the Anker products.

I have always trusted Anker products, and they have remained at the top of my list when choosing electronic products for many years, but this is the first time I have heard of them entering the portable charger arena. The Anker SOLIX C300X has thus far blown me away with its capabilities. As someone who goes on weeklong camping trips and experiences several power outages a year, I feel that this is an invaluable asset. We usually take multiple devices on our trips, including portable gaming devices for the kids, a tablet, rechargeable flashlights, etc., and charging them is the biggest hurdle. We rotate what we charge as we drive and rarely get anything back to 100%. I have not taken my laptop before because of this but now I can. What’s got me even more excited is that we can now inflate our air mattress inside the tent (we were using the car’s flatbed outlet) and no longer have to struggle to fit an inflated queen through a tent door. Besides that, it is a year-long asset for any loss of power we may experience. These past few years we have learned to expect the unexpected and being prepared is key to ride the waves of uncertainty, especially when most things are rechargeable nowadays, even flashlights. The build of the power station is tough but surprisingly light. It has both a handle and a shoulder strap, allowing portability and comfort during transport. It was easy even for my thirteen-year-old to take it along during a hike. It also has a built-in light with three brightness levels, which I love because campsites get intensely dark after sunset. Powering the device on involves pressing and holding the main power button for three seconds. This safety feature helps when transporting the power station to prevent accidentally powering it on and wasting its energy stores. The first time I tried it I charged all of the following: Airpods, a laptop, two tablets, an Apple watch, and a DSLR camera battery all at the same time with the power station starting off at 100% battery. Everything I charged was completely dead to start with except for one device. Each device took the average amount of time to charge that it would if it had been attached to a wall outlet. After charging all six items fully over a five-hour period, the Solix C300X still had 39% of battery left. I disconnected each item as it reached full charge throughout that time. As for the electric air pump, it does drain the battery quickly. At three minutes it had taken up 5% using 118W and being the only thing plugged in. It is still worth it to me to inflate my beds inside the tent but do consider this if you intend to use it for a high-wattage device. Another great thing about this power station is that it does not leak out energy while not in use. I charged it up after using it and a week later it was still at 100%. This is one of the many features that brings me piece of mind with this. I can have it charged up and it will still be charged if there is ever an emergency or blackout. The app is very handy and efficient. It shows which ports are in use, the percentage of battery left, how many estimated hours of use remain at current output, the temperature, and the total output. It easily finds the power station and allows you to interact with it without having to create a login. I love that this can be recharged using a solar panel and I will likely get one in the near future. This will make it so much more convenient while out camping. That said, it charges very fast using a wall outlet, in around an hour. I am quite honestly truly loving this power station. It fits so many of my needs and provides a sense of security that dampens the anxiety that having so many rechargeable items can cause during power outages. I absolutely recommend the Anker Solix C300X as a must-have for avid outdoor enthusiasts, parents of sports-involved kids, professionals who routinely travel with tech, and anyone looking for backup power during unforeseeable events. This is definitely an asset to have for many reasons.

Small but mighty power wherever you need it

Whether you're looking for some power while you travel or when you're roughing it or you just want a to power some things where you don't want to run a huge extension cord, this is a great power bank. Setup is as easy as taking it out of the box. It's ready to go. You might need to charge it up a little bit but mine came about half charged right out of the box. There's also an app you can use to look at some more detailed stats like how much power each outlet is pulling and how much total is being used. With a handle on top and an optional strap, the size of this battery is pretty perfect for what it offers. It's really easy to take literally anywhere you need it. It's also not crazy heavy or anything so I mean it when I say it's super easy to take with you virtually anywhere. Your options for power include a 12v car adapter plug, three 120v standard 3 prong plugs, two 140w USB-C outlets, one 15w USB-C outlet and a 12w USB-A outlet. There's also an input for both a standard power cord you can plug in at home as well as a solar panel plug if you have solar panels for when you are away from home. Each section of outputs has it's own switch to turn them on or off so you can control what's getting power. There's also a screen that gives you some basic information about how much charge is left in and a couple other tidbits. I would have liked to see a button I could press to toggle what main information was displayed but it's not a huge deal that you can't do that. The main reason it's not a huge deal is because of the app. I really like the app. It's nicely designed. It does ask you to log in, but it also allows you to skip the login and just connect to your battery via bluetooth. I'm all for any company that offers the ability to NOT log in just to access their battery. You do get some extra functionality if you log in, like the ability to connect to your battery via wifi or saving your battery so you don't have to reconnect to it if you get a new device. Not a huge dealbreaker so I opted to just use bluetooth. The app displays a lot of really nice information about each port and how much power they are consuming or drawing as well as the overall charge level of the battery. It's not super complicated and there isn't really much else but I really like seeing the breakdown and the app is designed nicely so it all looks really nice. There's a light as well. Most things have a light. I guess it's nice that the light is included so if you're camping or something, you don't need to plug in an extra item. Just turn on the light to illuminate the area. Overall, I was really impressed with this battery. It's really compact. It packs a ton of outlets so you can charge or power so many things. I was able to run a pretty powerful laptop while also charging my phone and another device all at once and I was able to monitor how much each thing was drawing on the app. I'll definitely be taking this anywhere I may need some power for short-ish periods of time. Even if it's just a room in the house where reaching a wired outlet is a little difficult. It's just that nice to move around. I think a lot of people could use one of these so if you're in the market for one, add this to your short list of ones to check out.

I got this this little solar generator just in time for the Brewers' post season run and some spectacular end of summer sunshine! The Anker SOLIX C300X is very lightweight and portable, weighing only about 9 pounds in total, definitely something that you could sling over your shoulder and carry with you on a hike like Anker's website shows, but I'd rather just set it on a table or my balcony. It charges incredibly fast via the AC wall plug and can be used as a UPS (uninterruptable power supply), pretty fast via the two-way 140-watt USB-C port, and in about 3 hours with decent sunshine and a 100-watt solar panel (I think that's fast for what it is, but I think Anker could've bumped it up to being 200-watt capable). On a full solar charge, I was able to run my 32" 4k TV/Monitor streaming baseball & movies for 6 hours while also charging a Sony Bluetooth speaker and two phones! While tailgating, we were able to keep running for the full 3.5 hours we were in the parking lot at AmFam Field running the same 32" monitor, charging phones, and running a small griddle (pulling ~100w). I had deployed our solar panel on the roof of our car to maximize the sunlight, brat grilling and bag toss space! This thing works great! I wouldn't run a full griddle off of it or expect it to operate a microwave or heavy-duty coffee maker at all or for long, it only has a max boost of 600 watts and a normal AC draw of 300 wats, but those 3 AC outlets are amazing to have! Overall, I would highly recommend this amazing little solar generator if you're looking for a convenient little solar battery generator to power your camp, patio, tailgating adventure, or hike (if you're like the guy in the pictures!). When this is teamed up with a nice foldable solar panel, it's portability is unbeatable! If you don't need the AC plugs, don't worry! Anker makes the same one in a DC only version with a pop-up light instead of the neat light bar!

The Anker Solix Portable power station is very convenient, and I found it to be more useful than I originally thought. The Solix has many different types of power options, both can be used to directly power your devices and/ charge them. There is a small LCD screen on the front that is used to display the current power left on the charger, as well as other useful information like remaining charging/power time available. There is also a pretty strong LED light on the top that has 3 different levels of brightness. When it comes to how useful the Solix is, it’s a great size for travelling around, especially bringing along on road trips. I was able to use my laptop while plugged into the Solix, and it would give me about 3-4hours of constant use. It’s also nice to have by me, whenever I’m without a wall outlet. Actually, I found that I have been using it more in that case than I do when I travel. The Solix can be charged in a few different ways: the included 3 prong charging cable, a solar panel, car charging cable and a 140w USB-C cable. Keep in mind if you want to use any other cable, it will cost you extra. For instance, if you want to use a solar panel, you need to not only buy the panel, but you also have to buy the charging cable sold separately. I feel like they could have included some more cables in the box, at least the car charging cable. Overall, I like the Anker Solix power station. I find it to be useful in many different ways, like being able to plug in my laptop while using it, charging all my small electronics, but mostly I love how I now have a portable wall outlet right at my side. Although, I do wish the company had included more cables in the box. I understand that’s their business model, but it goes a long way for the consumer when they see they are getting a little extra instead of not enough.

The Anker Solix C300X is a portable power station that provides power to your electronic devices anywhere and anytime. The Solix features 288wh and 300W allowing you to charge up to 7 devices at once. I recently took the Anker Solix on our camping trip to the Smoky Mountains, and I'm so glad I did. This compact and lightweight power station proved to be an invaluable companion, providing power to our cell phones, cameras, drones and out our little LED lamps throughout our entire 3-day trip. The unit is portable, lightweight and easy to carry along with you anywhere. Specs: 9.45H X 6.34 W x 6.46L and about 10lbs. Features: 3 x 120v outlets, 3 USB-C outlets, 100W Solar charger port for charging the unit (not included) car charger port and your regular wall outlet charging. The unit also features an LED light and can be controlled via the Anker App. The app provides useful information such as the charging time, which output is being used, control LED and screen brightness current battery life. The Solix is incredibly durable and built to withstand the elements. It's perfect for outdoor activities like camping, hiking, and fishing. The multiple ports and outputs allow me to charge multiple devices simultaneously, making it a versatile solution for all my power needs. The Solix can also be used in times of emergencies or power outages, charging up your cellphones, small electronics and providing light and power when you need it most. I highly recommend the Anker Solix C300X to anyone who that would require power while traveling or in case of emergencies. It's a reliable, convenient and most of all portable power source that will keep you connected in time of need or enjoyment.

Been playing with this and the app that you can download from the App Store. I haven’t pushed them to the rates wattage but so far it’s done a good job with simultaneous output and turbo charging. I’m not fully convinced turbo charging is ok so I would get the app dial it down to 100 watts if you aren’t in a hurry. The led light built onto the unit is quite pleasant as it lets people know where the battery is sitting on the ground or used as a small ambient light. Draws 1 to 3 watts depending in the brightness you select. It’s quite easily carryable with the provided strap so must give that some credit. So far so good will have to see how I feel about it in a few more weeks as I begin to push cycles on it. Overall Anker has been putting out some solid products and would heavily recommend this if you are in the market for a portable power station.

This power station has been a wonder from the first charge. Let's start with my favorite feature, the visible power management. I have several power stations, and while they have a battery indicator, they do not give a clear idea of how much power remains. The Anker's LCD gives that and more. How much power is being used, the overall battery percentage, and most useful for me, how much time is left should I continue using under these conditions. Having that latter number really helps with power management and expectations on the go. On the actual usage, the battery packs serious juice. In the picture below, I was on a trip charging my DJI batteries, my cellphone, and a Bose speaker. All devices were fast simultaneously fast charging with no symptoms of overheating. Plenty of different ports with variable currents to plug and play whatever you need. A few reference points for power. Using the Samsung Freestyle projector, I could watch 3-4 movies before needing a recharge. I could charge my phone multiple times. During a mini heatwave, I connected it to a Vortex room fan, which could run for several hours, and a high power air blower fan, which would only give about an hour and a half. My laptop could recharge at least twice. For portability, note the strap in convenient and it does sport a smaller footprint that other portable power stations, but it does weigh 10lbs. Simply clipping it to a carabiner and running around may not be feasible, but if you can manage the weight in your gear, it will definitely hold its weight in functionality. It will also do well in an emergency. Great power, bright flashlight with emergency mode built-in, and app navigation to manage power from another room. I would trust this in my emergency kit. The only negative is I would have preferred two USB-A ports and small on-the-go fans, light, etc. still use those being they are usually made to be powered by standard USB. Not a major issue as I have several convertors if needed. Great portable power wherever you need it, wherever you're going.

Perfect balance between portability and power

I own quite a few battery packs, but I have wanted a power station to be able to charge outlet devices when I am camping or hiking. I wanted a portable unit, but still wanted enough power to recharge my drones, phone, and laptop multiple times. I have owned the Anker Solix C300X for a couple weeks now and mostly used it on a couple camping trips. The power station charged quickly from an AC outlet and was ready in about an hour. After downloading the app, I became aware that recharge rate can be changed to a lower rate of 100W up to the default 330W rate via the AC charging cable. I would greatly recommend downloading the app. There is, most likely, a firmware update while the app provides a lot more features. The firmware update took about 5 minutes, required the phone to be close by, and was connect to AC. There is an optional solar panel which can be purchased. As of this review, the only option is a bulky ~22”x24” (folded) version. I hope to see a more compact version in the future. I wanted to see how much the C300X could handle and was pleased to find the power station went into protection mode to prevent damage since I was drawing too much power. I did not test the 600W surge mode, but I have no doubts on its claims. This power station is the perfect balance between portability and available power while keeping the price reasonable. I recommend this Anker Solix C300X power station to anyone who would like a portable power station.

The C300X: a great little portable solar generator

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The Anker SOLIX C300X is a small portable power station and solar generator that offers some really great functionality and enough energy storage to keep your essential devices charged on the go. It can recharge via a solar panel, AC from the wall, or DC from a 12V vehicle output. It offers a large number of USB ports and AC receptacles compared to the competition. To be clear: this isn't the kind of solar generator you need to keep essential appliances running in a power outage, or even make a cup of drip coffee at your off-grid campsite, BUT if you're looking for an ultra-portable way to take solar rechargeable energy storage on the go, this is one of the best options on the market. Pros: • Ultra portable at just 9 lbs • Safe, reliable LiFePO4 battery cells • Lots of USB and AC ports for charging multiple devices • 300W of continuous output is enough to run a desktop computer and full sized monitor, or charge 3 Macbooks at the same time • 10ms passthrough UPS gives you peace of mind for small backup jobs • App control over bluetooth or wifi • Front light bar provides some nice illumination options • Comes with carry strap Cons: • You can use up 288 Wh faster than you might think • 100W solar charging limit means it can be slow to recharge if you need a lot of power • Relatively inefficient inverter only outputs 83.3% of rated capacity on the AC side, just 69.5% of what it takes from the wall (more on this below) Full review: I have really been enjoying the early days using the Anker SOLIX C300X. I love how easy it is to use and how it gives me options for power in the wilderness without weighing a lot. I love the UPS function and how it can keep my PC running in the event of a power outage when I'm home. Finally, I love the design and portability. Part of my full time job is to test solar panels and portable solar generators, and I am really impressed with the growth in quality and functionality we have seen in this space in the recent past. Modern solar generators almost exclusively use the safer lithium iron phosphate (LFP for short) cell chemistry and all come with relatively good inverters. Anker products, in particular, are known for their cohesive design touches, usability, and great app interface. The C300X is the absolute entry level when it comes to a portable power station, but it provides some great features nonetheless. One very nice perk is a fully embedded AC charger. That means you only need a simple cord to charge the unit from the wall, with no bulky AC adapter and long cords to manage. The UPS function is also especially intriguing for people who want a small amount of backup for a PC or medical device like a CPAP machine. It allows current from the wall to pass through to the devices plugged into the AC ports, and turns on within 10ms of an outage to keep them running for as long as the battery can last. In my testing, I wasn't able to get the C300X to fully run my full-sized fridge, but it does offer enough power to run my home office setup for over an hour in an outage. Speaking of testing, I ran the numbers on the efficiency of the inverter inside. I plugged in a couple fans that ran the unit at over 200W continuous power draw. It was capable of meeting that power need for a little over an hour, ultimately serving 239 Wh to run the fans before shutting down. That means that 83.3% of the stated energy capacity is available through the AC plugs. I also tested charging. From completely drained, the C300X took 344 Wh to charge. All together, that means you'll need to draw 344 Wh from an AC energy source to provide 239 Wh to the AC outlets of the unit—a round-trip efficiency of just 69.5%. Not amazing, but not unexpected. The value this unit provides is more about having some stored energy avaiable when you need it. As for solar charging, I tested charging this with a 100W solar panel, and found that it did a good job providing most of the charging I might need in a day. Of course a 100W solar panel can only output 100W under the perfect conditions, so I mostly got between 50 and 75 watts most of the time. At that intensity, it takes 4 to 5 hours in the sun to recharge the battery to full. I think you could charge the C300X from a higher wattage panel, as long as you make sure to stay within the unit's 11-to-28W voltage limit. At its maximum rated input voltage, the unit should limit the amperage it allows to flow into the batteries to 8.2A. That would mean you could hit the 100W max charging limit and refill the battery in just over 2 hours of full sun. Bottom line: The SOLIX C300X is great for what it is, and maybe the most portable unit in its class. I would recommend this to a friend with limited charging needs. This unit is perfect for refilling smartphone batteries. keeping a laptop running, or charging drone batteries over a long off-grid weekend, as long as there is some solar or vehicle recharging available. For more serious needs like running a space heater or coffee maker, look for something with at least 1500 watts of continuous output and more like 2 kWh of energy storage.

Great portable power station with really fast charging and versatile ports. Those AC ports, ability to work as an UPS, and the straps it comes with definitely worth the price difference between it and the DC version. The build quality could be better, there are many visible weld lines on plastic parts and has scratches out of the box. The App is pretty cool, just wish it could have capability to turn on and off individual ports. Starting up is also a bit slow, wish that could also be improved.

We have infrequent power outages so this isn't a necessity, but it's so nice to have just in case. This particular model has the usual USB-C/USB-A connections PLUS a DC connection (think the cigarette lighter socket in your car) AND several AC outlets. You won't be running any appliances off of this, it's more for like a laptop charger, lamp, etc., but that is very versatile. So far so good with our Anker power station, the little LCD screen is very informative and it charges quickly via the regular wall outlet. It's heavy but it's a giant battery so that's to be expected. We did not purchase solar panels (they're expensive) but would consider it in the future if it goes on sale. All in all, this definitely makes me feel better knowing we'll always be able to use a lamp and charge our phones during a power outage. It will also come in handy going off the grid or to an event.
