This computer is exceptional, and I'm glad I didn't get the M2 MacBook Air! For less money , I got a bigger SSD, more RAM and arguably a better processor in the 13th generation Intel. You could've gotten this thing on sale for $699 from Best Buy at one point and I'm so happy with this computer that I'm not even upset I paid full price.
I was a little concerned about the graphics card not being able to handle 4K video editing (I don't do super heavy video editing, but heavy enough) but so far, this thing runs Adobe Premiere like a champ! It eats eats every task and asks for more! If I need power, I just switch to performance mode, but I'm always in battery mode because the processor is so good that it rips through the majority of the work I need it to do with Word, Excel and Edge with no problem on that setting; and it extends the battery life which is great at that setting but can drain quickly if you have the OLED set at maximum brightness.
Some people said the screen is too reflective, but I've yet to encounter that problem and I don't work on my computer outside. If you're on the fence about getting this computer, just buy it. It's not to heavy!

I recently purchased an ASUS laptop, and after several weeks of extensive usage, I am delighted to share my overwhelmingly positive experience with this remarkable device. Whether I'm editing videos, running complex software programs, or engaging in extensive gaming sessions, the ASUS laptop consistently delivers smooth and lag-free performance, exceeding my expectations at every turn.
The build quality of the laptop is another aspect that deserves high praise. ASUS has clearly paid meticulous attention to detail, resulting in a sleek and robust design that exudes sophistication. Whether I'm watching movies, editing photos, or playing games, the colors are vivid, and the details are sharp. The laptop's display has ample brightness and excellent viewing angles, making it a pleasure to use in various lighting conditions.
Battery life is a crucial aspect for any laptop, and the ASUS laptop impresses in this department as well. With its efficient power management, I have experienced extended battery life, allowing me to work or enjoy entertainment for hours on end without the need for frequent recharging. This has proven to be particularly advantageous during travel and work on the go, ensuring that I can rely on the laptop to keep up with my productivity needs without constantly searching for power outlets.
In terms of connectivity, the ASUS laptop offers an array of ports and wireless options, including USB Type-A and Type-C ports, HDMI, and Wi-Fi, ensuring seamless compatibility with various peripherals and devices. This versatility has made it effortless to connect external monitors, transfer data quickly, and connect to networks without any hassle.
Finally, I must commend ASUS for the software experience on the laptop. The operating system runs smoothly, and the pre-installed applications are both useful and unobtrusive. ASUS has also provided regular software updates, ensuring that the laptop remains secure and up to date with the latest features and enhancements.
In conclusion, the ASUS laptop has exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Its remarkable performance, sturdy build quality, stunning display, impressive battery life, and excellent connectivity options make it a truly outstanding device. This machine takes care of my college needs with ease. The display is gorgeous, sharp and accurate. Intel 13 gen i7-13700 glides through everyday task effortlessly. If you keep settings to 'whisper mode' battery lasts more than 8 hours on single charge. Light gaming in medium settings gives respectable fps'. Just swap the existing ssd with high speedgen 4 and you are good for atleast 5 years. Build quality is nice too, however not completely cnc aluminum but insides have injection moulding plastic to support internals, lids and back cover are metal.

I tend to write really extensive reviews, but this time I feel like I can say all I need to say more concisely.
I have owned literally dozens of laptops in my lifetime. I buy and sell/trade-in frequently because I like to stay on top of current tech, especially since I tend to do a lot of media production work.
This laptop might be all around one of the best value packages I have ever seen, and definitely one of the most capable laptops for creative work that DOESN'T have a dedicated GPU I have used.
The processor/memory combination for this price point (especially if you nab it on sale for $799 or even the $699 I've seen it drop to occasionally) is absolutely nuts. Coupled with the simply stunning and color-accurate 16:10 OLED screen (with touch and pen support if needed, no less), large and very usable trackpad (with the cool number pad feature that I've only seen ASUS implement), and the really comfortable keyboard with very nice key travel and response feel, it's simply a joy to do work on this thing.
Also, I see laptops all the time tout their Harmon/Kardon sound but this time - WOW - the speakers on this machine have some of the fullest, deepest bass and overall clarity I've ever heard from a laptop. This laptop has far better audio than even the MacBook Pro I was assigned from work, which previously was the best sounding laptop I had ever used.
Everything is speedy even on power conservation modes, I like how the screen automatically drops to 60hz when unplugged to conserve battery, helping the battery life stretch to about 8-ish hours when off charger even when doing a decently sized workload (which more than works for me because it charges quickly).
The only real negatives I can say about this machine are that it unfortunately doesn't have an SD/microSD card reader (a bummer for me because I now need a dongle to import photos directly from my DSLR), no fingerprint sensor (which I rarely used anyway but still is a nice option for some people I know) and that it's a HUGE fingerprint magnet. I do a fair amount of eating while I'm working, so I tend to leave my laptop looking like a greasy mess. But, I suppose, that's on me. The fan also gets a little loud when it's on heavy load in performance mode, but that's to be expected and it does sufficiently keep the machine cool and from throttling.
Overall this is certainly one of if not the best laptops I've ever owned.

I bought this laptop during the 4th of July sale. I'm really pleased with his performance till now. It does not get warm, and the fan noise is fairly low. With normal use it can last on the battery for UP to about 6 to 7 hours.
The build is really good and feels good to touch. The design is simple and elegant. The 2.8k oled display is beautiful. I am new to the 16:10 aspect ratio, but its a nice change for me.
Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase.

A very good laptop to begin with. Top of the line processor(intel series H), Vibrant 2K display which is OLED and has a refresh rate of 120hz and a sleek all metal design make this an absolute bang for the buck!
Have been using this for the past 2 weeks and have experienced no issues so far. Only downside would be a presence of only one USB-A but that's alright considering it has 2 thunderbolt ports(Yes, it charges using USB-C!). Battery life is pretty good, easily runs for 5-6 hrs on moderate - heavy usage.
I do recommend it to students for school work and working professionals.

Even better than advertised. Super fast, comfortable to use and the OLED display makes using my older laptop a painful experience. Based on two other Asus computers I have owned, the battery life is is much better than i anticipated. Now that I figured out how to turn on the back light, the keyboard is basically perfect.

I had a 13 inch ultrabook before this, but this laptop is simply better in every way. It's better than every other 14 inch in its class in fact. There's really no reason to get an XPS 15 over this. Or a Lenovo Slim or Yoga... or an HP Dragonfly. This laptop should really go for $1500, but I got in on sale for $700 which is ludicrous.
Anyway, you're getting an H-series processor with this which already puts it in its own league. A 2.8k OLED screen. Seriously, the OLED is amazing, and Dell charges a ton of money to upgrade to that. The battery life is also pretty solid. Really happy with this machine overall. Nice work Asus.

I recently purchased the ASUS Zenbook 14X 14.5" 2.8K OLED Touch Laptop from Best Buy, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Here's a brief review of my experience:
Exceptional Display: The laptop's 2.8K OLED display offers outstanding vibrancy and contrast, making it a joy to use for both work and entertainment. The visuals are crisp and vivid, enhancing my overall computing experience.
Blazing Fast Performance: With the Intel Evo Platform i7-13700H CPU and 16GB of RAM, this laptop is incredibly fast. It has significantly improved my efficiency, allowing me to multitask effortlessly and handle demanding tasks without any lag.
Impressive Battery Life: The laptop's battery life is impressive, providing approximately 7 hours of usage with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, I noticed that it increases even further when I reduce the refresh rate to 60Hz, which is a great option for extending productivity on the go.
Satisfaction with Purchase: I'm very satisfied with my purchase, and I have to mention that I got a fantastic deal from Best Buy. The laptop's performance, display quality, and battery life all exceeded my expectations.
Overall, the ASUS Zenbook 14X is a top-notch laptop that offers a fantastic display, powerful performance, and excellent battery life. It's a great investment for both work and leisure, and I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient laptop.

An Honest Review After 2 Months

In all honesty, this laptop is potentially the apple MacBook Air killer, but not at $1000. In my opinion, if you can, wait for the 16GB RAM/512GB SSD to fall to $699. At that price point, it pretty much beats all laptops within the same category, a business/personal laptop that can excel in just about anything other than heavy gaming. 16GB of RAM seems to be the new standard in terms of RAM. This laptop is the jack of all trades, it can get just about every job done. The 2.8K/120 Hz display is very vibrant, and you'll never go back to regular LCD. Battery life can be heavily dependant depending on usage, but if you're not gaming expect a minimum of 4-5 hours. I personally don't use the trackpad numpad as much as I thought, although is nice if you really need it. Now, if you want light gaming alongside portability, this is perfect. I've run Minecraft and got 120FPS for the majority, even when running fancy graphics with optifine. Fan noise isn't a complaint, as you can adjust the noise level for your needs, and running the fans on the standard profile compared to performance won't drop performance by much, even when running games. Honestly, battery life could maybe be a bit better, but that's what happens when you get an intel CPU. It also supports 90W USB-C charging, so you don't have to worry about a proprietary charger. The laptop may be a fingerprint magnet but it doesn't concern me.

The features this laptop have are superb; the screen is gorgeous, exceptional colors and excellent brightness, the keyboard lights up bright, and the keys are very easy to press down. The ambient light sensor works well, and im impressed with the color light sensor; it adjusts the colors on the screen based on the colors around you, to give you wonderful colors all the time. The built in calculator in the trackpad is a neat tool. It's main use is for those who use calculators consistently, but it's a nice little gimmick nonetheless. The ability to press a button and keep your microphone and camera off is a peace of mind feature. The facial recognition is surprisingly quick for a laptop. 100/10, I have recommended this laptop to a few of my friends

I needed a laptop for college but couldn't get a MacBook because my major is IT (plus I hate MacOS). So I did extensive research and ended up buying this one. I was really hoping it would treat me well because I needed a laptop with incredible responsiveness, versatility, and overall performance. This laptop has been treating me right for the past 3 weeks. I sit through 3 hour lectures and the battery is barely half used. I never hear the fan, even when I open numerous tabs and switch between windows. The screen is shiny and does have a glare, but it isn't noticeable (of course only if you are outside and the sun is shining on it). My laptop has 16GB Memory and 512 GB SSD, with the i7. This is very suitable for a college student and I feel comfortable knowing I am just fine with my storage space. The keys are quiet, the laptop itself is not heavy, and the overall design is very nice. It does have a touch screen which is very quick to respond and has no lag. The calculator feature on the touchpad comes in handy when I'm doing math work. The sound quality is amazing as well. I'm happy to say that there is nothing that makes second second-guess my decision to buy this laptop. I definitely recommend this.

I stopped at Best Buy to look for a replacement for my 8yr Surface Pro 8, now with swollen battery and well-used.
I found this laptop on display and was very impressed. The 14.5" screen was larger than the Surface Pro's 12.3" screen and would still easily fit in my travel carry-on.
The 2880x1800 screen sold me quickly as text and photos show up very crisp with no pixelization. The Intel i7 is faster than my newish desktop computer. Battery life is ample.
I don't need a gaming graphic card, so the heat and cost were reduced. The price was reduced and two weeks later fell another $50, which Best Buy refunded to my credit card with no problem.
This is a powerful laptop, so very much worth the cost.

This is an excellent laptop for all around use. The build quality is good and the screen looks incredible. My only complaint is that I wish it had some kind of dedicated graphics. One thing I love about Asus is that their computers still support S3 sleep mode (as all windows laptops should). If you don't know about Windows Modern Standby and it's issues, look it up and you will see what I mean. Overall great job Asus on this product.
