Amazing Sound Isolation and Noise Cancelation

I never knew how much I needed one of these until trying out this BlueParrot headset. I am constantly busy and on-the-go, working in noisy environments but also needing to talk to people around me. I usually have headphones or earbuds in to listen to podcasts while I get things done and to answer calls without having to hold my phone but most of the time the transparency mode makes it difficult to listen to my audio, but noise cancellation prevents me from listening to my surroundings. The BlueParrot solves this because it leaves one ear unobstructed while the other can listen with noise cancelation to my audio. First off, the construction feels high quality, durable, and rugged. It is made with thick plastic and metal and is lightweight with a heft where the headphone is. The mic can be rotated down in both directions, so the headset can be worn on either ear. The mic is bendable and will stay put wherever it is placed. The non-headphone side has an opening that allows an additional headphone to be added on that side, if desired. Included in the box is also a charging USB-C cable, a car charging adapter, and an extra mic cover. The headset has seven buttons, which are intuitive and well-placed. Only the BlueParrot button is customizable through the app. The app is simple and straightforward. It shows the battery level, volume level, and allows configuration of the BlueParrot button. For some reason it shows noise cancelation is always on, even when it is off or on hear-through(transparency). I personally wish another button could be configured to pause/play or answer/end calls. I kept using the power button for this forgetting it was for voice commands. The sound and mic quality are amazing on this headset. I can hear clearly even with all the machines running in my kitchen and the people on the other end of the call never have an issue with the sound, they hear me clearly. I have recorded myself talking with all the noise going on and they sound very faint in the background. The mic works so well at excluding sounds and focusing on your voice. The connectivity is great, it connects seamlessly every time I turn it on and stays connected while on the entire time. It does claim to have 300ft of wireless range, but for me it starts cutting out at 30 ft, less than that if there is a thick wall in between. The battery life is remarkable! I have not charged this since I initially unboxed it, and they are still at 30%. I have been using them for five to seven hours a day every day and even forgot to turn them off at night on several occasions. A few issues I have come across are: -The headset does not extend too far, so this may or may not matter, depending on what area of your head you find the anchor side most comfortable, but if you plan to add the additional earphone accessory to the other side then this may be an issue. -The earphone cup is pretty small. I have small ears, but it still sits on top of my ears unless I move it around to get the top of my ear inside the ear padding. Without doing this, my ears will hurt after a few hours of wearing it. -Similarly, the anchor side is a bit tight and can eventually cause pressure pain if it isn’t readjusted after wearing it for several hours. -Sometimes it stops playing. I’m not sure what happens, but there were times it just lost sound temporarily while I listened to podcasts. The podcast kept going on my phone, so I do not believe it to be a Bluetooth connectivity issue. It works again after I press pause and play though. -Lastly, if you have hair that is tied back, the anchor side gets stuck in it and makes the headset hard to remove without pulling strands. With everything considered, I feel these are a solid companion for truckers and busy people in general. I have several headphones, but none have the degree of sound and mic isolation that these have. They are robust, feature fantastic battery life and connectivity capabilities, and are intuitively designed. Of course, I would suggest to ensure that the ear cup size and extension length suit your needs first.

The Blue Parrott B650-XT is a headset designed with drivers, telemarketers, and teleworkers in mind. For those unfamiliar with the brand, Blue Parrott is owned by GN Audio, who also own Jabra, which explains the robust build quality on these headsets. They are very well made, feel premium and tough. The headband has a smooth silicone rubber and the earcup has this leather texture material. While the headset has some weight, primarily around the earpiece, it is very comfortable to wear, and the weight becomes unnoticeable during use. The earpiece houses the speaker and all the control buttons. The microphone can be swivel to 180 degrees making the headset usable with the left or right ear. Setting them up is simple, just open the Bluetooth setting on your device and pair the headset or by simply using a 3.5mm headphone jack. There is a Blue Parrot app for IOS and Android that can be downloaded. With the app you can update the device firmware and assign functions to the Blue Parrot button. But for the most part the app just pretty much monitors the headset at least on Android. You can see the battery percentage and volume level, but they cannot be adjusted from the app. The headset feels extremely comfortable and has an outstanding sound performance. The voices are heard loud and very clear, and the music sounds even better. This headset packs some bass in that small speaker driver better than a lot of regular headphones I have used. I was impressed with their sound quality. There is also an option to purchase a separate earpiece to make these headset stereo. The noise canceling (ANC) is very good. That ANC is so noticeable once you activate it you can feel it in your ears. The microphone also reproduces your voice very clearly, it sounds like you are talking directly from a handset. Overall this Blue Parrot headset is a must for those who are always on the phone, especially those who are in a loud environment and want the best hands free experience. I wish we had these when I used to work at the Relay service. The ANC and sound on this device are outstanding. They are comfortable, well made and tough enough to take quite a beating. With 36 hrs of battery life you can go a few days without charging and the option to make it stereo with a separate earpiece makes this an all around headset/headphones. In the box you get the headset, USB-C to USB-A cable, 2 mic foam covers, quick start and safety information guide and for the drivers they also included a USB vehicle charger.

I work remotely and have for the last 10 years. This mean I make LOTS of phone calls – I’d say I’m on the phone 6-7 hours a day. Needless to say – I’ve tried many headsets – and have always come back to the BlueParrott line. Yes – I have several. This newest one, my Blue Parrott B650-XT, is the best and most comfortable of all! People didn’t used to believe me when I talked about Noise-Cancelling features of my BlueParrott. So – to show them, we hoped on a Facetime conversation and we have a chat while he watched me vacuum! No kidding! I could barely hear it. I’ve done the same with the Lawn Mower and Snow Blower – not that I make a habit of talking and doing those things – but you could! So – the specs. You guys can see those yourself. I like to talk about usability. So – just went to Waco last week and took my B650-XT with. I have a Second Ear Cup – which can be plugged into the 650-XT to make a stereo headset. I used it as such, plugged my 3.5mm cord into the airplane, activated noise cancelling and enjoyed my flight! Awesome! I charge my 650-XT probably every 2-3 nights, and have never been without power. It’s written that it has 36 hours of talk time. Other things that are nice – near field communications to pair easily, Multi-point pairing to pair two devices at the same time (but use on one at a time), comfortable ear cup, great range and a customizable BlueParrott button for you to select a variety of features from. So there is one thing I don’t like – but I feel it’s an iPhone issue vs BlueParrott. When on a conference call like a Webex or Teams call and I receive a mobile call from someone – it interrupts my conference call and I lose audio for a few second (always right when I’m talking). Then, it loses it again a few seconds after you deal with the incoming call. Quite frustrating and my reason for only 4 stars vs 5. Overall – extremely happy with the BlueParrott 650-XT and recommend you get one too. If somebody from BlueParrott reads this and has question or thoughts about the issue I pointed out – feel free to reach out!

After trying out the BlueParrott B650-XT Bluetooth Headset in both the office and on the go, I’ve got to say I’m impressed. It’s built for people who need top-notch call quality and all-day comfort, and it definitely delivers. Product Overview The B650-XT is a solid over-the-head wireless headset that gets the job done. With advanced noise-cancellation and big, comfy ear cups, it blocks out distractions like a pro. The adjustable mic boom makes sure your voice comes through loud and clear. Plus, it’s built to last with a sturdy design that doesn’t skimp on comfort. Setup Process Getting started with the B650-XT couldn’t be easier: - Pairing it for the first time is quick and simple. - You can connect it to multiple devices without any hassle. - Voice prompts walk you through the setup step by step. - Plus, the BlueParrott app lets you customize it just the way you like. Performance and Features The real star here is the 96% noise cancellation—it’s seriously impressive. I tested it out in my truck, and it did an amazing job cutting out road and engine noise, keeping conversations crystal clear even in noisy environments. The mic? Just as good—your voice comes through loud and clear every time. Battery life is another win, with up to 36 hours of talk time on one charge, perfect for long days. Plus, the wireless range goes up to 300 feet, so you’ve got plenty of freedom to move around. Comfort & Design The over-the-head design, padded headband, and big, comfy ear cushions make this headset super comfortable, even for long hours. It’s solidly built but surprisingly lightweight, so you won’t feel weighed down during those marathon sessions. Plus, the rotating mic boom can be flipped to either side, making it super versatile. A stereo earcup can be purchased separately from the Jabra website if you want a full stereo headset experience. Pros: - Incredible noise cancellation (up to 96%) - Up to 36 hours of talk time—no need to worry about constant charging - Super comfy for all-day wear - Built to last with premium, durable materials - Amazing range—stay connected up to 300 feet away - Dust and water-resistant with an IP54 rating - A customizable Parrott Button for quick shortcuts - Connects to multiple devices seamlessly Cons: - It’s on the pricier side. - The larger size might not be for everyone. - Might feel like overkill if you’re just a casual user. The BlueParrott B650-XT is a solid choice if call quality is a top priority and you need a dependable headset for both work and on-the-go. Sure, it’s pricier than your average consumer headset, but the noise cancellation, sturdy build, and long battery life make it well worth it for anyone who relies on clear communication every day. Whether you're in a noisy office, on the road, or dealing with tough environments, this headset gets the job done. From my experience, I’d definitely recommend the B650-XT to anyone looking for a high-quality, comfortable headset that delivers.

By trade I work in a very busy clinic. There are alot of things going on in the background, machines beeping, other staff working, so I need something premium. If you're not familiar, Blueparrot has been in this business a long time and they produce some of the best stuff on the market. This particular model has alot of bells and whistles, I won't waste anyone's time but you can read it in the details on the box itself as well as the photos I've submitted. What I want to emphasize on is it's ability to reproduce my voice so it sounds high quality on the other end, while providing noise cancelling and blocking out all the random sounds in the background. When I'm the phone, I need my words to come out clear, and not sound like a tin can. The noise cancelling technology can sometimes alter your voice to make it high-mid pitch/tone emphasis, resulting in a tinny voice. Does not happen with this pair. Very important for my work flow. The sound coming back from my clients also sound very accurate. Really appreciate the clarity on both ends. The other issue is comfort. This device has a very durable and comfortable ear piece. The headband itself is adjustable in length, as you can see in my pictures, on both ends. And the non-ear piece, the end of the head band that holds it in place, can swivel, to further customize to your head/hair shape. I can wear this thing for hours and not fee uncomfortable. Other nice things include the range of the headset. I don't move away from my station very much, but I've worn it all the way to the restroom which is about 150ft away and still sound very clear, no noise/artifacts, had to make sure the mute was on. Also appreciated the spare sponge, the ability to connect another headset with the 3.5mm port, the fast USB C charging, voice assistant, which is nice but almost a given in the industry now. I can usually use this for 4-5 days until I have to recharge, and I use it about 4-6 hours a day. Ive been spoiled that I forget to charge it sometimes, but you can use this while connected/charging as well. Overall, high grade crystal clear telecommunication tool. You can add a second ear piece, but having 1 open ear allows you to hear your staff/coworkers, so I did not add a second ear piece (sold separately). If you want your staff to sound professional to your customers and clients, this is the way to go. The comfort and flexibility will also make your staff happy.

The BlueParrott B650-XT Bluetooth headset is designed for professional communication in noisy environments. It has a robust build, active noise cancellation (ANC) technology, and exceptional audio performance. The target audience seems to be truck drivers and car-share drivers (people who need to talk on the phone without using their hands), but if you are someone who works in an office environment that requires you to be on the phone all day, then this headset is also suitable for you too. This headset boasts impressive specs, including excellent ANC that eliminates up to 96% of background sounds. It provides 36 hours of talk time, a 300-foot wireless range, A2DP streaming of music and GPS, and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. You can connect to two devices at once. Another unique feature is the BlueParrott button, which you can customize to your most used feature like muting your microphone or calling a favorite number. However, there is a tradeoff for these features, it’s somewhat on the heavier side at 0.47 pounds, and after using this headset all day from 9am to 6pm I found it to be a little uncomfortable towards the end of the day. The headset offers a robust 36-hour talk time, and charges via a USB-C to USB-A cable. It’s compatible with various devices, ensuring stable and reliable wireless connections. I found setup easy to do after downloading the app on the App Store and connecting the Bluetooth with my iphone. However, I was surprised that this headset didn’t come with the more current Bluetooth 5.3, which is expected for a premium headset in late 2024. The BlueParrott B650-XT is a top-tier Bluetooth headset for professionals seeking clear communication. Its exceptional noise cancellation and long battery life make it an excellent investment for truck drivers, call center workers, and mobile professionals. The only drawback for me was that it felt a little heavy.

The BlueParrot B650-XT is an excellent headset that goes well beyond office use. I work from home and was particularly interested in its noise-canceling capabilities, hoping it would effectively filter out the sounds of my noisy child. So far, the headset has been very effective in this area. However, there’s a slight oddity with the noise-canceling feature: when speaking, I can hear myself in a strange way, almost like an echo. I initially struggled to find a way to disable this through the app but eventually discovered the button for it on the headset itself. This headset would be ideal for anyone in noisy environments like driving or construction, as its noise-canceling is truly exceptional. The microphone delivers crystal-clear audio, and I’ve had zero complaints from anyone during calls. A standout feature is the reversible microphone boom, allowing you to wear the headset on either ear comfortably. It also includes a programmable button that can be customized for shortcuts like speed dial or mute/unmute. The BlueParrot app is useful but not essential, as most features are accessible directly from the headset, except for the button customization. My favorite feature, hands down, is the voice control. You can simply say "answer" to pick up calls hands-free. It’s an incredibly convenient feature that quickly becomes hard to live without. Overall, the BlueParrot B650-XT is a high-quality, comfortable headset with great sound and amazing battery life. I only have to charge this once a week, which is very handy. My only complaint is the confusing sound notifications—it sometimes beeps or rings for no apparent reason, with nothing happening on my phone. Despite this, it’s a fantastic headset.

Working from home is a relatively good thing provided you have all the necessary tools to aid you in doing your job. I had everything required minus a reliable wireless headset. I place emphasis on reliable because I own a few but each had their own caveats. So, I decided to go with something more premium and that is precisely what the Blue Parrot is a premium headset. This is mono headset and it has a lot to offer and in my time with it, it does all that I need it to do. :::General Thoughts::: The box is simple and has all that you would expect and need, pamphlet, charging cord, and device itself. I like to charge my devices prior to initial use and it connected to my work laptop with ease. Now I would like to put out there that I am very soft spoken and most headsets struggle to pick up my voice. I do not like to speak loudly or raise my voice it is a personal thing for me. I placed the headset on my left side as it seems to pick up my voice better on the left. This is a noise cancelling headset so I am unsure if this is a feature that requires an app to activate for the PC. I know with an android phone you get a whole lot of features. The volume button is located on the left along with the blue parrot button. On the right side there is a port where you could purchase the right ear cup to convert this headset into a stereo headset. For me this headset is great without it as I make phone calls, and use teams to remain in contact with my team all day long. Wearing this for eight hours or more daily is not an issue as this headset is very comfortable and is lightweight. Adjusting it on the left and right is simple enough and there is no feeling like you are wearing a clamp on your head. Battery life is great I charge it only twice since I had it. I have had for a little more than a week already and I like it much better than my other headsets, those did not hold up well. :::Pros & Cons::: Pros: - Long battery life I get four full work days - Comfortable - Charging port is on the bottom of the left earcup - Sleek design - Great smartphone app that is feature rich - Option to convert to stereo headphones Cons: I have not found any :::TL;DR::: These are advertised for people on the road, but I use it for WFH and it is great. I use it in a Windows environment making phone calls, conference calls. It does what I need it to do and then some, overall, I am very happy with this headset. Check this out you will love it.

My dad has always raved about his old BlueParrot headset. He was driving an old tanker style truck delivering propane with the “2/55 AC”, which was the windows rolled down at 55MPH. So, you can imagine the noise. But, people on the other side would think he was yelling because he’s trying to talk over all the noise. Come to find out, you don’t need to overcompensate, just talk normally. Over the years it seems like they still maintain superior noise cancellation and just keeping up with the smart tech. As for the added tech, the BlueParrot button can be assigned to your preference in the BlueParrot app. By default it is mute/unmute of the mic, but you can make it speed dial, function for a different app, work with voice command with a single tap, give battery status or work as the multi-function button of another Bluetooth paired device. I feel having the voice commands is the best as you can have it do multiple other functions so you can remain hands free. But, the power button can also be used for your phone's smart assistant. This can be worn on either ear as the microphone can flip all the way around or be tucked up to the headband so it is out of the way. There are some other buttons that do not appear so obvious, they are for track forward/back and changing the noise canceling of the headset on/off or into hear through mode. For the most part, it’s fairly comfortable to wear. I do wish there was just a little more padding on the non-ear piece side, but that does help it from slipping off. Speaking of the other side, you can buy an additional ear cup and turn this into stereo headphones, which isn’t the best for driving, but when you aren’t, you don’t have to swap headphones to listen to your phone. Charge time will last you about a day and a half, pending usage as all things batteries are. The range on this is pretty impressive too. Can easily walk about the garage without carrying the phone everywhere. Overall, if you work around a noisy environment and need to have an ear free for safety, these are the best I’ve ever seen. I feel they could use just a bit more volume on my side, but the ANC helps with that a bit. Certainly makes it easier for the other side to hear you with that “96% background cancelation” they have though.

I have admittedly had more than my fair share of bluetooth headsets - both in ear and over the head. As someone on the road a LOT, headsets are critical to me because I don't always have the flexibility to use the Bluetooth in my car (if I have passengers, for example) or want to bother with pairing either of my phones to a rental car. This latest BlueParrott B650-XT didn't disappoint! In the box, you'll find the headset itself (which is expandable have a speaker on both sides), the charging cable, and extra microphone cover, and the *COOLEST* car charger I have ever seen. I was a bit disappointed it didn't include a carrying case which is shown on the manufacturer's website as an inclusion. Pros: - Super simple and easy setup - with our without the app. - OUTSTANDING audio quality both in ear and for the people on the other end of the call. - Straightforward app with plenty of instructions and details on how to use the device. - Handsfree voice commands (pro and a con, see below) - Remarkably good battery life. - Noise Cancellation is excellent. - Manual headset jack which may be useful for some. Cons: - Like I mentioned before, I really wish this had come with a case. - It's bit on the heavier side. - Took quite a while to charge. Once the light changed indicating it was fully charged, it was only at 96% - Handsfree commands were kind of hit or miss. I found it easier to use either Siri or Hey Google to perform most handsfree functions. Overall, this is a solid headset. I may not be driving an 18-wheeler, but it sure has been a delight to use, especially if I have other people in the car also on their phones. The noise-cancellation is equal to or better than other dual-ear headsets I have used. I would recommend.

The BlueParrott B650-XT was easy to set up and pair right out of the box and has a great battery life. You can wear the headset with the earmuff and mic on either side, which is good because it starts to feel heavy on my head after a while. I have tried the headset with iPhones 15 Pro, SE 3rd gen, and 12; android phone Pixel 9; and a Galaxy Note 4 laptop since I have a lot of online conference meetings. The B650-XT paired and unpaired easily with each device but seemed to have the best connection with the iPhone 12. I noticed that it tended to lose connection more with the 5G compatible devices even though it would quickly reconnect itself most times. And no, distance from the device was not a factor on the occasions it lost connection. The wireless range when connected is actually the best quality of this headset. Callers had no trouble hearing me clearly nor did I have trouble hearing, but I’d say that the sound quality is average. The call-announce and voice control features worked as I expected them to. And the button features were all easy to use by touch. You can download and use the app to learn about the headset, reconfigure the BlueParrott Button (default is Mute/Unmute) and see battery, volume, and connection status. Since the headset “announces” and responds to the pre-programmed voice commands, there really is no need for the app to me. I haven’t looked at it since setting up the device. Overall, the B650-XT is an okay headset that does what it’s supposed to do. I’d likely use it more at home than on-the-go.

Unpacking the headset was made of high quality materials, it felt expensive and solid. The contents had everything needed to get started quickly. A quick start guide as well as instructions on the box. It also came with an extra microphone cover which is extra important for keeping the mouthpiece clean after using it after a while. Highly recommend changing it after using it a few times. I used the headset for a week during all my calls and I must say that I was very impressed with the sound and quality considering it was mono and listening through only one ear. I'm used to using bluetooth earphones for my meetings but found that everyone at work would interrupt me because they could not see that I had ear buds on. Having this on significantly reduced the interruptions because they knew I was in a meeting. The sound quality was very clear and I even had a colleague use it so I can hear how I sounded when speaking during meetings. The sound was very clear and it also cancelled the background noise of their surroundings so I know that when I'm in meetings in the open office area there is no background noise that I normally hear from others. The headset is also comfortable if you have back to back meetings for 4 hours, which happened a couple of days. After a while I didn't feel them on. The controls were easy to control while on and the on off feature of just moving the mouth piece added to the ease of use. Another feature that sets this headset apart from the rest is that it is bluetooth. Everyone at the office is able to purchase via company store but all they have is wired and everyone asked where I got this bluetooth set. Another great feature of this headset is that if you want to get stereo sound you can purchase another ear piece and attach it making it the perfect headset for home and office. I highly recommend this BlueParrott bluetooth headset for home and office use if you have a lot of meetings online. Overall, comfort is great, sound quality is clear and the option to purchase another earpiece for stereo sound is a great feature.

I am not a professional driver, who i believe the intended audience for these headphones but work in an office and do alot of online training and phone interviews. I needed quality headphones with great sound and a comfortable fit over an extended period of use. Overall I am very happy with these headphones. INSTALLATION The installation was not the easiest, the bluetooth pairing with the phone was difficult because the signal from the headphones kept disappearing. The headphones need to be paired with the app on your phone to change button settings, see power levels and button re-asignment. USE I use the headphones using the aux cable to connect to the pc and listen to my online training. The sound is amazing, the one earcup allows me to listen to my environment as well as the clear, clean sound coming from the pc. QUALITY The quality of the build seems very sturdy, a little on the heavier side but the design and support allow for many hours of use without a sweaty ear or ear fatigue. I definitely recommend these for work. PROS Quality of build Clarity Noise Reduction Voice commands- can talk commands to reject call for example Hands free Included Car Charger CONS Slightly heavy Only one ear cup- 2nd has to be purchased instead of being included No aux cable included with headphones No wall charger incldued Initial Setup is NOT easy for the Non-Tech Saavy Overall a good product, you will be happy with either for work or driving.

Hello Veritech - Thank you for taking the time to write a 4-star rating about the Blue Parrott B650-XT. We are glad to hear that you enjoy this headset overall sound quality especially the ability to hear your surrounding and listen to your online trainings. We are sorry that the initial setup was a little challenging and that the headset feels a little heavy while wearing. Since this device is designed for drivers, we include the car charger over the traditional wall outlet. You can also use a computer USB to charge the headset. The second earpiece and 3.5 aux cable can be purchased separately, alternatively these do come with the S650-XT model, our next model. We hope this helps and we will certainly share this with our team. If you ever have questions or need help troubleshooting, please contact our Blue Parrott Support Team: https://bit.ly/4cK1ozr. I've been using the B650-XT Wireless Headset for a few about a week now, and I must say, it's exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, the sound quality is superb. The audio is crisp and clear, whether I'm listening to music or attending meetings. The wireless connection is seamless. I haven’t experienced any lag or dropouts, even while moving around the house. The range is excellent, allowing me to roam freely without losing connection. Comfort is another standout feature. The ear cups are well-padded, and the headband is adjustable, ensuring a snug fit for long listening sessions. The microphone quality is top-notch. During calls my voice comes through loud and clear, and background noise is minimized, thanks to the noise-canceling mic. Battery life is impressive too. I can easily get through a full day of use on a single charge, and it charges quickly when needed. Overall, the B650-XT is a solid wireless headset that delivers on sound, comfort, and performance. Whether you're gaming, working, or just listening to your favorite tunes, this headset is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

I have been driving a longer commute that requires about 85 miles one way every day (170 miles a day). So being on the freeway, it can get really loud in my car especially that I have to take phone calls while on the road. Ear buds are great but it still can pick up a lot of the background noises that are typical for freeway driving. I've used other BlueParrott devices in the past which have been great, but these B650-XT have been such a game changer for me and my morning commute. I really enjoy that these offer really good Active Noise Cancellation, and since I have only one ear cup, that really helps me focus so much on the conversations. And the microphone offers 96% ANC pick up which is so nice. Other headsets, you can still hear a lot of background noise. On the other ends, my team can only hear me speaking effectively and clearly. The BP button on the side can be used for most-used features: speed dial, mute and push-to-talk, thus giving you a really good hands-on use. The head band is actually very comfortable to wear for my commute and the side headrest also offers padding for that side of my head. BlueParrot states that you can get 36 hours of battery life. With it constantly on for my commute, I'm averaging around close to that before needing to recharge. You can get 300ft of connection away from your device, but I have not been that far away from my phone or tablet. It is IP54 rated for dust and water, so I have used it a few times going outside my car when it was lightly raining. It still operated and had not issues which is a plus for me. Overall, I really like these B650-XT series headset. It offers great maneuverability and freedom for me to drive and focus on my conversations, while being able to be heard for nearly all of my speaking.

This a rugged, work focused headset. This thing feels like it could survive and last a long time in work and industrial environments, which is great if you're using it in noisy, tough places like construction sites or trucking, or working in your garage. It's not the most stylish headset out there, but it's all about function over form. This is a MONO headset, that only covers one ear, so if you’re in a scenario where you need to have hearing of your environment for safety or operational and situational awareness, this is functionally going to be right for you. The noise cancellation is very good on this headset. BlueParrott claims it can block out most of the regular background noise, and I think that claim is credible from my own use with it. I've used it in my car and in a noisy box truck, and people on the other end of the call could hear me crystal clear and I could hear them pretty well. The way I see it, if you have to stop and close off one ear to hear, the headset has failed. THIS headset does not have that problem, and I could operate as well as if it was a stereo headset. Battery life is another strong point. You can get up to 36 hours of talk time on a single charge, which is fantastic if you're on the road a lot or working long shifts. It also charges up pretty quickly, which is handy. The B650-XT is comfortable to wear, even for long periods. The over-the-head design is most comfortable for me and is my preference. The ear cushion is soft enough that it doesn't cause discomfort and it seems to be able to withstand wiping with standard mild cleaners. It's also IP54 rated, so it can handle a bit of dust and water without issues, although I didn’t test that personally. I was able to tighten it up where it didn’t move so much when I shook my head or when I turned quickly; I have a bit of confidence that it won’t fall off if I have to run or move quickly or if I’m actively shifting back and forth. I couldn’t say that with some regular headsets. It definitely sticks to my head. One cool feature is the Parrott Button, which you can program to do different things like speed dial or mute. It's a nice touch that adds some extra functionality. You can also get an “optional extra earcup” for the other side of the headset to make it stereo! I didn’t get that so I’m not sure how it would sound but honestly, I think of this as a primarily work centric headset, however, it might be a good upgrade if you’re looking for a bit of hearing protection. (They don’t claim it to be protective, however.) It’s a bit bulky compared to regular headsets and way more so than earbuds. But if you need something that can handle tough environments and provide clear audio, the BlueParrott B650-XT is a good choice that I recommend.

Hello, wizozzie - Thank you for sharing this detailed, five-star review of the BlueParrott B650-XT headset! It is great to hear that the headset's noise cancellation performs well, allowing for clear communication even in noisy settings. The emphasis on situational awareness with a mono design is an important feature for safety-conscious users, and it is reassuring to know that you could operate effectively without needing to block out your environment. We also appreciate your thoughts on the battery life and comfort, and it is wonderful to hear that the over-the-head design and soft ear cushion met your needs. It is also nice to know that the headset stays securely in place during movement, providing confidence during active tasks. Your recommendation for the BlueParrott B650-XT as a reliable choice for tough environments is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your thorough assessment, and we hope it continues to serve you well in your work! Jabra
