The Bose charging dock does what it is supposed to do. It also gets the Bose speaker up off the counter which I like. It's not too high, but high enough that if liquid runs near I am thankful to have that elevation. However, the cord is very lose and the wave channel does not help get the cord to stay connected. I had to use some electrical tape to keep keep the cord connected. I just bought some adhesive cord dots that I am going to try as tape will lose the connection in the long run. Hopefully the dots will work long term.

The charges has an easy design that one doesn't even notice when a speaker is charging. I wish the charging cord was longer than it is (about 3 feet). But the wall adapter is flat, so it fits easily behind an entertained shelf/unit. We purchased it over 2 months ago for our the speakers and enjoy it. Just place the speaker on the dish and voila, it works! No clipping or snapping things into place.

Very simple wireless charger cradle all you have to do place the Bose sound revolver on it. The thing is that I found hard is that you have to put precisely on it, if not it will fall of but with the weight it will stand perfect and unless you touch it, it won’t tip over they should have put a strong magnet to hold it in place other then that it’s a great charger.

I didn’t know this existed or I would have gotten it sooner. It fits perfectly and is wonderful because I don’t need cords! I highly recommend this product if you have a Bose!

Bad design

Because of the design underneath this base, the power cord does not stay plugged in! It’s difficult just to get it plugged into the base and then because they made the corded area curved in an unnatural way it forces the cord out of position rendering the base useless for charging. The design on top requires you to set the speaker on in a specific direction so it’s not just a quick set it down on base and charge! I had to fold paper and shove it up against power cord underneath just to keep the cord in place so the base will work! Very poor design and could have been good. They must have known this but manufactured and sold it anyway. Sadly I do not recommend this item, but it could be good if they just fix how the cord is routed underneath!

Must have accessory for the soundlink revolve

The soundlink revolve charging cradle is a must have for the speaker. It doesn't take up much more space than the speaker but makes it very convent to grab the speaker off the charger and go. It allows you to plug the charger into the cradle and then the speaker just sits on top of it.

Great Accessory if your speaker will travel a lot

I am not sure what the pricing on this accessory will be so it's hard to really make a judgement on it's value. Basically, it is a charging cradle that allows you to just set the speaker on top of it to charge instead of having to plug/unplug the micro-USB cable from the speaker directly. I think it is a great accessory if:
1. You often take your Bose Revolve speaker with you when you leave your home.
2. You often move your speaker between rooms in your home.
3. If the place where you want to put your speaker is not close to a power outlet.
For convenience, it is definitely better than having to unplug the USB cable and then plug it back in when the battery runs down. When you want to move the speaker, you can just pick it up and go.
Build quality is nice, has some weight, but not too much and anti-slip pads on the bottom keep it in place. The bottom is metal, the top surface is plastic. To top surface is also keyed with a raised round feature that matches a round groove on the bottom of the Revolve speaker so that you don't have to fumble around to line up the speaker with the charging pins.
It is a well designed accessory that not everyone will need, but is handy if the portability of the speaker is important to you.

Just what the Revolve+ needed - charging made easy

The BOSE Revolve+ cradle is a great addition to an already great product. The packaging was small and simple. There was ONLY the cradle and instructions in the box. No cables. You must use an existing microUSB cable (also provided by the BOSE Revolve+ speaker).
The only confusing design was the bottom and how the cable comes out. The cable is going to bend regardless, due to the design… why? I don’t know. It seems like the charging port would be in the middle (but same depth) with an option to bend left, right, or keep straight. Scratching my head on that one.
Other than that, it works great and does its job. It gives the Revolve/Revolve+ a good base to sit on, and it appears to be “part” of the main unit when connected. The U-shaped insert insures that the unit is seated correctly in order to be in the charging state. The rubber bottom keeps the base from moving (as does the Revolve unit itself too).
Very nice touch, BOSE!

This little charging puck removes the need for stabbing your beautiful speaker with a micro usb cable. As we all know continually plugging and unplugging micro usb plugs will eventually fail, hence lots of new products using USB-C, which I'm a little surprised this one does not. The puck has a horseshoe shaped rubber fitting that forces you to get the speaker aligned properly to make contact with the points, which is a little tedious but works out well. There is also a nice indent in the bottom of the puck to recess the plugged in cord so the puck can sit anywhere. Because it doesn't have a lot of mass to it, sometimes the cord wants to push it around on your table/desk if the speaker isn't on it. This charging dock is made from similar materials as the speaker itself and feels solid and substantial in the hand.

Charging cradle is for Bose Revolve+ Bluetooth Speaker.
It just a cradle and does not come with power cable or power brick, you have to use the cable and power brick from the speaker.
You connect the cable to the cradle via the usb port underside and the design is not friendly for fat fingers. Please see photo.
Every time I try to unplug, I afraid I might bend it too much and break it.
But the cradle is very convenient, you just place the speaker on the cradle for charging.
The speaker still work while charging.
Recommended if you have extra money.

Not thrilled with Bose Revolve Charging Cradle

The Bose Revolve Charging Cradle will allow you to charge either the SoundLink Revolve or SoundLink Revolve+ speakers without having to constantly fumble with the micro-USB connector on the back of the speaker.
Once the cradle is plugged in, you just need to sit the SoundLink Revolve(+) Speaker correctly and it will charge. A nice and easy solution to charging a decent speaker.
Unfortunately, there are a few shortcomings.
First, out of the box, there is no charging cord nor wall adapter included. You are only getting the charging cradle.
Second, it is difficult to plug in micro-USB charging cord into the cradle. In order to plug this in, the cord needs to navigate its way about 2/3 of the way in from the back, and about 1/3 of the way in from one side along a channel that is almost too narrow for my stubby fingers while navigating a bend. Why not just plug into the back of the cradle?
Third, its based on contact charging. I was hoping for inductive charging. Inductive charging has been charging electric toothbrushes and many cell phones for years. Instead, there are 4 small spring loaded contacts that transfer power from the cradle to the speaker.
In order to align with the contacts correctly, there is a c-shaped feature on the top of the cradle that matches a c-shaped groove on the bottom of the speaker. I've taken to dropping the speaker onto the cradle and giving it a little twist to make sure I've gotten it onto the cradle correctly.
Overall, the cradle does what its supposed to do. It charges the SoundLink Revolve(+) speaker. Unless I was constantly moving the speaker around and worried about the wear and tear of the speaker's micro-USB port, I probably would not recommend this cradle.

It's a cradle. You are supposed to put your Bose reolve speaker on it and it is supposed to charge it while still playing the music. I gotta admit that speaker looks better while sitting on it. But is it worth $30? Also, I need to carry two things when I am moving between rooms or indoor vs. outdoor. I usually end up just carrying the speaker.

Soundlink Revolve Cradle

The optional charging cradle for the Soundlink Revolve adds convenience to charging by setting the Revolve on the cradle rather than plugging in the speaker directly through a micro USB connection. I would suggest taking care when setting the Revolve on the cradle as I apparently accidentally touched the wrong contacts between the speaker and cradle and the speaker started emitting a loud hum that I had to power off the speaker to get it to stop. Other than that everything works perfectly and worth the convenience.

Charging Cradle Piles On Versatility to Revolve +

INTRODUCTION: The optional Bose Soundlink Revolve Charging Cable is a solid base made for Revolve & Revolve + wireless Bluetooth speakers.
LIKES:
1- Allows Bluetooth Operation while charging
2- Super sleek look.
3- Adds solidity to the Revolve & Revolve + on your desk, due to the semi circle, rigid base, locking design.
4- Keeps the Revolve or Revolve + oriented in the precise direction for best microphone positioning. This makes phone calls clear & consistent. It achieves this clarity by the aforementioned semi circle, rigid base design that locks into the unit & eliminates rotation, keeping the microphone in the same location every time.
5- By offering the Charging Cradle as a separate purchase, the user can choose to add additional Cradles: i.e. keep one at work, one at home, one on the patio, etc.
6- Weighted base prevents tilting the Revolve or Revolve + over.
7- Rubber on bottom of base provides a firm foundation with no sliding or scratching delicate surfaces.
8- Hidden wire management feature routes USB cable from below at the front, around & all the way through the back of the cradle. This superior design allows the cable to have a much tighter bending radius with no rigid plug sticking out of the back. Simply installing a USB jack on the outside of the cradle would have been a less expensive & inferior design & is a common practice among highly respected competitive models. This little detail is impressive!
9- Gold contacts assure solid electrical contact for the 5 Volt, 1.6 Amp power supply at all times.
10- The Charging Cradle is shipped in 100% recyclable packaging & the Cradle itself is recyclable.
DISLIKES:
1- None
CONCLUSION: The meticulous attention to detail of the Charging Cradle illustrates the finesse that the Bose engineers & design team applied to the Revolve, the Revolve + & the Charging Cradle. I highly recommend purchasing the Charging Cradle to pair up with your choice of the excellent Revolve, or the Stunning Revolve + Versatile Bluetooth Powerhouse!

As ;you can see, the charging cradle looks like a coaster-a small disc-shaped object, maybe 4inches in diameter, with a sleek, low profile appearance. Hookup to the speaker is easy with the metal prongs and circular form that plugs into the speaker's base. Once the speaker is correctly fitted onto the cradle, a sound is emitted that lets the user know it is correctly connected. Very easy to use.

The charging cradle makes charging the Bose Revolve Speaker a breeze. I would have preferred the cradle be included with the speaker, regardless it is a nice accessory for the speaker. The only negative, which isn't an issue for me, is that the speaker must be oriented properly to sit on the cradle. Otherwise, the cradle charges the speaker and makes it far more convenient to grab the speaker and move it when desired.

This cradle really isn't needed. The charging cord can go straight to the Bose speaker. Bose reasoning on the matter is on the box.
1) Keeps speaker charged and ready to go (so does the charging cord)
2) Works with Revolve speakers (well no duh)
3) Convenient home base for our speaker (again, if you want to have a platform that doesn't move, well I guess this is it??!)
4) Let's you play music while charging (so does the charging cord)
Again, this little guy has to have the charging cord plugged in to it for it to work. Skip this guy, charge your cord straight to your speaker and keep it moving. Bose should have made this little guy a wireless charger then you would have had something.
The material seems durable but it feels really light which means there's not too many components inside to make it a necessity. All you do is plug the cradle up, and drop the speaker on top. Nothing special unless you are the type that like to have the whole kit and Kaboodle. I wouldn't recommend it.

Overview: This puck style cradle makes charging the Bose Revolve+ very convenient.
The Good:
- Super easy and straight forward to use.
- Pretty minimal design that doesn't stand out.
The Bad:
- Doesn’t come with its own cable and charging adapter.
- Light weight and is easily pulled off the table when speaker is not docked.
- Top surface is plastic and scratches too easily. Should have been metal like the base.
Cool Extras:
- Plugging the cradle into your computer via USB and docking the Revolve lets you charge the speaker as well as route computer audio through the Revolve. It’s super convenient and an overall neat feature for something advertised as only a charging cradle (manual doesn't mention this feature at all).
