The compustar alarm upgrade with drone mobile is a great system that tracks your car and offers a great option for a remote start and alarm system combo. I do have a couple issues with this unit though number one is the remote. there is no case available and the screen has a glass window, can you see where I'm going with this. I keep my keys on my belt hoop and when I sat down I apparently sat on the remote and the screen went dead. The remote itself still works but you can't see anything on the screen so I took it back to Best buy. since I have the total protection plan I figured it would be warrantied. Well it wasn't, just my luck, this is one of just several items that best buy sells that are not warrantied under the total tech program. Which by the way cost me $200 a year and can be a cool thing if you shop at Best buy alot. So, I asked if I could purchase another remote but was told they don't have any replacements yet because the unit is so new. I did find one on the trusty Amazon site for $58 and only a soft case. nothing that is going to protect the screen from breaking again. The other issue I have is that you need your fob to drive the car,if you need a fob like I do and the alarm fob for the alarm. You would think they would be able to combine the two together in one fob because I find this very irritating having to have two remotes. So there you have it. I think that it is a great system but something needs to be done to protect the fob and to combine the two technologies together so that we only are required to have one fob for everything.

People, whomever may be reading this. Get one of these yesterday! The DRONE app makes it worth it. No more waving your fob in the air like you just dont care. Simply…open your app hold start, finito! From wherever youre at!lock..unlock..start/stop. Oh! Did i mention gps tracking in case you get carjacked?oh! Did i mention it lets you know when you need an oil change and the temp of your car? Aaaaaannd your battery health…Shew! Out of breath

One of the best purchases I have ever made from Best Buy, I should have bought this when it first came out.

Living in the NorthEast of the country, I have to deal with extreme weather changes. This winter (2024/2025) has been the coldest and longest in decades. Having this remote start allows me to get my car warmed up before I leave for work, and before I leave work to head home. It saves me time from sitting in the car in the cold waiting for the heat. Also, if there is any snow on the windshield, it is gone before I get to my car. The remote fob works from a good long distance. I opted to use the Drone mobile service, which allows me to not only start my car from my cell phone, but from my Apple Watch as well. So as soon as I clock out for work, I start the car from deep inside the building, head to my locker, grab my coat then head to my car. The car is nice and toasty when I get there. I simply get in and leave. It's so nice getting into a warm car when it's 10° Fahrenheit!

Great auto alarm. Install techs were super!! Alarm is easy to arm and disarm. Remote start functions as it should. Not bad for an older vehicle like mine on cold mornings. 3000 ft is what the range is on the alarm.

I really like this upgrade to my basic compustar remote start system because this gives me huge flexibilty to see that my car was started from the keyfob. It also adds functions of being able to remote start from my phone if i have the monthly plan which with my job would only come in handy once or twice a month. I would keep an eye on these to be on sale and free installation would recommend to family /friends

Upgraded my 20 year old escalade to match my new nissan. I can remote start from any store or work or use drone on my phone to start from anywhere. The screen is neat too

This is perfect! The range is incredible. The price is fair. Got geek squad to install it and program it.

So I have nothing bad to say about the product itself, but I was under the impression that this was a car starter not just the add-on remote because when I was at Best Buy, I asked the sales representative to assist me in picking out a car starter. He opened the cabinet and handed this to me. Then when I go to get it installed, I have to wait almost a month then I had to reschedule that’s when I found out that what I bought was not a remote car starter, but an extra key fob that can be added to one that you already have so it does mean no good And they wouldn’t return it. I think that’s wrong! It was in the original box and container. It was open once to be looked at and yet they wouldn’t return it!

It chirps, literally 4 chirps to let me know the autostart is working/ on or off. Also, I definitely recommend the Best Buy installation because their installs look so professional. Had to tip my guy because he did such a great job. 100 percent no regrets and wish I done this sooner. Mod for my 22 Challenger Sxt

This unit has been great. Its easy to use, membership is cheaper than Onstar, and the install was fast.

No dislikes at the moment, but functionality of the remote is easy to use. Love the app features too. Thanks

This is a perfect accessory for any automobile that needs to be able to start prior to getting to it. I like it so much. I’m thinking about getting one for each one of my vehicles.

The key fob screen froze up after a while. But all it would still send a signal.
