    Very Nice UPS

The GX1500U hit the ground running in every way. Setting it up and using it has been nothing but smooth sailing. From a power perspective it is more than I need, but I wanted a true sine wave UPS and there aren't so many options. There are 12 outlets availble on the back of the unit, 6 are battery backed. The UPS maintains a consistent and clean 120 VAC output on all 12 outlets, filtering power fluctuations in the AC line input without resorting to battery power. With the batteries fully charged I removed power to the devices I wanted to back up, set the UPS in place and plugged it in, and finally plugged the devices into the UPS and turned it on. Everything came up without a hitch, off and running with battery backup. User documentation is clear enough, as are the LCD front panel indications. Checking status and setting options through the font panel buttons and LCD screen seems like a tedious process. Fortunately my situation is a normal one and the default settings were appropriate, so I didn't have to change anything. I highly recommend installing CyberPower's PowerPanel application on a computer near enough for a USB cable connection, or on a laptop that you can bring near the UPS. When running, PowerPanel finds the UPS when the USB cable is connected and displays very useful information that you don't see on the LCD panel, such as current power level in Watts and estimated battery run time in minutes at that power level. UPS configuration options can also be viewed and changed through the PowerPanel utility, which will be my preferred method vs. through the front panel. It is good to see that replacement batteries are available for purchase if/when needed and are easy to install. It's too early to say anything about reliability and battery life, but so far I am very happy and very impressed with the GX1500U and supporting software.

Excellent unit, true sine wave, displays watt use

True sine wave power backup and line conditioner. True sine wave power provides the most consistent power for all electronics rather than using approximated sine wave (aka digital). Solid and well designed with a display that provides all the information needed including current watt/load ... very helpful in determining power consumption. I use the unit on my OLED TV and DVR and BD players but also have several (3) for my computers around the house.

This thing was exactly what I needed for my gaming pc setup. First off, this thing is heavy, I assume most of the weight is the battery. The front LCD display is very nice, it also tilts up so that you can use it on the floor. You can change some settings and it will display certain things of your choice, like wattage, amps, voltage, estimate battery time, battery levels, and more. The rear offers numerous 120 volt outlets, some for surge only and some for surge and battery. I was able to hook up my entire gaming pc setup, WiFi router and modem on this thing and since I get frequent brisk power outages, this thing will keep everything within check and on. When I’m gaming and using my pc at its fullest potential, it says I have approx 9 mins of battery life. If I’m just browsing the web or doing some small apps, I says about 25 min of battery life. When the pc is in sleep mode and really just the internet modem and WiFi router are on, it states about 192 minutes of battery life. I’ll have to remove on star because of the outdated software that this unit uses that you can link up with your pc. It just seems old and could use a UI update. It’s nice to be able to hook this up to your PC with it, but it really needs a facelift and to be able to see the battery life ( not to be confused with battery level) you need to sign up for an account. Well I did all of that and it’s just glitched out, still can’t see the battery life. It was super frustrating, I mean why even make me go through all of that when you should be able to show me now? Either way I’m happy with this product, the software was just a let down.

This is the best purchase I have made. I live in a apartment where once in a while the power would go off during the summer when there was construction near by. It ruined my old monitor for my pc so I had the protection plan on my old monitor. While I wait for a new one to be shipped, I purchased this battery backup to replace the old power strip. Glad I bought it. Protected my pc and my new monitor on another power failure a week after. It even has software to shut my pc off safely and to keep some power in the battery it carries. Even charged my phone while i waited for the power to come back on. It contains some cool features but I rather keep it simple.

I’ve been using it for a month and it is stable. The power flickers here with storms and high wind sometimes which resets my router. I haven’t noticed it since using the UPC. The load is only 2 bars with my gaming pc, monitors, network, and NAS connected to it. I’m considering getting a higher wattage UPC now that I’ve added a NAS for longer uptime during power outages. I can use this one for my entertainment center and I’ll probably get a lower wattage one for my fan and CPAP in the bedroom. It give me peace of mind knowing that my pc and internet will stay on long enough to finish an online test or be able to safely shutdown.

Better Voltage Output than the 950 for Electroics

This puts out a sinewave electronics like under load. Contrast this with the battery output of the CyberPower 950VA. My computer works with both backups BUT my monitor only works with the sinusoid as a 120VA load is not close to the limit of either backup.

I had purchased two CyberPower 850PFCLCD UPS units about 3 years ago. One is attached to our large-screen Sony flat screen, the other was connected to our router, main computer units, and the other electronics in my home office. About a month ago this second UPS began beeping in the middle of the night. After shutting down all devices, I disconnected the equipment, ordered a replacement battery, and now use that second UPS for our charging units (i.e. iPhones, iPods, Earbud Pros, etc.). I then ordered this CyberPower 1500VA Sine Wave UPS unit to use in my office. This is a fantastic unit, and I'm pleased I upgraded to a more powerful unit - worth the extra cost! Plus I'm not getting a more pure and consistent power load to all my office equipment. It's great that even if power shuts off we can still use the internet (AT&T UVerse) and watch television to get the news. I'm very pleased with this unit and recommend it without reservation.

The Best Backup Unit I I Have Owned!

The perfect backup unit. Good specs, good price, and a must in areas with frequent power outages. Catastrophic data loss from outages is eliminated with this unit. I get 66 minutes of backup power when the power fails. That is way more than I need, but it's good to know that as it ages and the run time drops, I will still have more than enough time to close out my work without loss. Excellent unit at an excellent price!!

Worth every penny! Got this UPS to pair with my i9-13900k, Strix RTX 4080 and Seasonic TX-1300W Titanium ATX 3.0 PSU. Love the display, u can see the wattage, voltage usage and etc. Together with the Power Panel app, u can monitor any event, power spikes and outages which is a BIG help! I'm a happy camper here knowing my expensive rig is very well protected.

Still Teaching Remotely Even When The Power Is Out

When the power went out at my home, My computer stayed on, but my Internet was down. I was disconnected from my students. I configured my CyberPower 1500VA for my ultimate system, but I did not think about my overall setup. After I visited the CyberPower website and BestBuy, I was now able to really configure my system. So when the power went out again for 20 minutes in my neighborhood, I was still able to communicate and still teach my students knowing how much time I had left during the whole time. I purchased a 2nd unit - Now I am totally protected.

I ordered three of these UPS'. I cannot believe that they shipped all three of them in the same box. Take a look at how they arrived! There is no excuse for three of these in one box. The UPS driver struggled. These needed to ship separately. I recommend the product, just don't have it shipped to your home or office.

This CyberPower UPS 1500 Sine Wave unit is a great back up power supply at a reasonable cost. In additional to the 6 battery powered plugs it has 6 plugs that provide surge proctection. I bought one in December 23 for internet power and liked it so much i bought another one in January 2024 for my wife's Apple desk top. I recommend these!!
