The dryer was easy to use, but I have long, curly and it took me a minute to use it the way it’s meant to be used but so worth it. I look like my hair was done at the salon when I use it!!! I definitely recommend it as it’s worth every penny!!

I am a huge Dyson fan and own many. From amazing vacuum to Dyson Airwrap. I was super excited to get this hair dryer since I dont bothet w hair dryets since all of my Airwrap parts - accessories does the job. This hair dryer is a letdown. Sadly, it went back and not worth price tag. The cool off of temp is not supported by every attachment, and on the most min level it blows out so much air that I did not expect that and almost burned my hair and scalp. I have felt it. It can take time to get used to it and learn so this so call cool off scalp adjustment does not fool you. In my case I have not felt cooling off to adjust properly and only few attachments worked with it. I didnt expect so much air and heat on lowest level. Honestly, now I can see that all those reviews who were given or gifted free product hyped it up. I achieve better results with airwrap that I own ovet ten years and have upgraded to all new tech attachments. I think Dyson could have done better job with this one. Even if purple one comes w a box, its a shame that such expensive tool they would not include a protective box w patina - topaz color. This product is probably worse than Supersonic hair dryer version. I would stick to that. Only thing I liked about this hair dryer are diffuser attachments but my airwrap has it too. No point. Wave and curl diffuser on this hair dryer did give me more bounce and body in my wavy hair. On the final note, unlike Dyson Airstraight this hair dryer should completely auto shut off when placed down but it does not. It keeps running on cooler temp. That defeats the purpose and should have a capability like Airstraight for the price tag.

I have medium-length curly hair that takes forever to air-dry so I like to diffuse it with a hair dryer to about 80-90% dry. I’ve been in the market for a new hair dryer and wanted to try out the Dyson because I’ve heard so much about their hair tech. This hair dryer has pros and cons, but at the end of the day it gets the job done in the expected amount of time. The attachments are very easy to switch out and I really like the diffuser attachment. I would have liked for this package to come with a storage solution for the attachments. ATTACHMENTS The Dyson Supersonic Nural hair dryer comes with 5 attachments that are sure to suit a lot of people’s needs. I am a fan of the diffuser attachment because it comes apart and you can turn it into a dome, it’s basically a 2-for-1. It does a great job of gathering all the hair I want to dry at a time. Although it is not compatible with Scalp Protect mode, I felt like the lowest heat was comfortable for my scalp and I didn’t really feel any burning. I personally use the lowest airflow setting and the lowest heat setting. Each attachment has its own personal default air flow and heat intensity settings. The diffuser attachment originally tells the dryer to use higher flow and heat than I like, but from what I’ve read and experienced, the dryer eventually remembers that I use the lowest settings. Something to note about the lowest air-flow setting is that I hear a loud high pitched frequency. The other intensities don’t have this loud noise, or rather the frequency is higher but less loud and drowned out by the loudness of the mid and strongest air-flow. I exclusively use the lowest settings so while it isn’t a dealbreaker, the high-pitched noise at my preferred settings is a bit of a nuisance. The attachments that come with the Supersonic Nural hair dryer are very easy to attach and remove from the dryer head. They are also clearly marked with the blue icon that designates attachments that trigger Scalp protect mode which are the Gentle air attachment and Styling concentrator. Scalp protect mode uses sensors to adjust the heat setting depending on how close you are to your scalp and you can see what heat setting you’re on in two ways. One is the indicator lights next to the temperature button, and the second way is that the dryer head light will be Red for the hottest or furthest setting, Orange for the midway points, and Yellow for the cooler temp and closest proximity to your scalp. The attachments that are compatible with Scalp protect mode are ones I’m not generally going to use, but again, I like to use the lowest heat setting anyway. When Scalp protect mode is on, you cannot override the flow and temperature settings unless you press the Scalp protect button to turn that feature off. I am still debating if I like the fly-away attachment or not because with my curly hair, I really only want to use the fly-away attachment on my part. I think it might make the top layer a little frizzy, but I can get it to work right if I cover my hair where my curls start. I will add that I believe the fly-away attachment is for straighter hair styles, but my curls start a couple inches away from my scalp and I have a lot of short strays at my part that need some taming. It’s a neat attachment, I just have to use it carefully and dliberately. DESIGN & USER EXPERIENCE This product looks and feels high quality but I wish it came with a way to store the loose attachments. I enjoy the design, color, and the easy to reach buttons on the handle. The air-flow, temperature, and scalp protect buttons are smaller and on the hair dryer head rather than on the handle. I find most of the buttons / controls to be accessible one handed. Although, I may have preferred more buttons on the handle. FINAL THOUGHTS The Dyson Supersonic Nural dried my hair in a timely manner and the diffuser attachment gave me nice curls. I will continue to use this Dyson hair dryer on a weekly basis. I think the highest settings are too intense for me so I’ll stick to the lowest settings which offer satisfactory styling results. It also emits that high-pitched tone, but I’ll just have to get over that in time.

This is the neatest and nicest hand held hair dryer I’ve ever owned. The technology behind this is quite impressive. There are a lot of pros that I can say about this unit, so I’ll begin with the cons. There’s only one that comes to me right off the bat. It has so many attachments and there’s no way to keep them neatly together. Dyson should think about including a bag or carrying case for the dryer and all of its attachments. The attachments are huge and seem like I need a separate drawer just to contain them. So the good. The heat is instant. And I love how it detects how far away it is from an object. So it auto adjusts how hot it is. You can see that reflected immediately by the light that is displayed throughout the unit. It turns yellow/orange for medium heat, red for high heat and blue when turned to cool. It is visually interesting. When placed upon a surface, it will detect that it’s lying down and go into an idle state of sorts. The attachments are pretty cool as well. It’s an easy attachment system of magnets. These magnets are extremely strong. But not difficult to remove and place onto the drier. I appreciate how the drier seems to remember the last settings for each individual attachment. However, I don’t see myself using all of them frequently. I do think that when using the diffuser your hands may become a bit lethargic because it does add some weight to it, and if you have long hair you’ll get tired after a while holding it over your head. The attachments are pretty cool. Each having their own independent function. But the coolest one is the diffuser and how the large bowl is kind of like an inverse diffuser which sucks the air inward and, the comb part of the diffuser that blows the air out normally. The unit itself also isn’t very loud. The heat output is immediate and on the highest setting feels like it would burn your scalp during use when felt with hand. But it doesn’t scorch or burn your scalp or hair at all. There are multiple buttons on the back side of the unit. Two located on the arm, and three located on the back side of the barrel. The ones on the barrel are hard to press while using it without having to bring it down to eye level to change. But it’s not really a negative. Once you have your settings exactly how you want them they stay with the attachment. The color way is unique and a bit funky in a pleasant way. The design is beautiful but to be expected from Dyson. This is my first Dyson product so I don’t have another one or older model to compare to. But even my kids are interested in using it because of its unique design.

This is an amazing hair dryer with cutting-edge technology which is path-breaking in this segment. I have used different kinds of hair dryers in the past but nothing comes close to this one. This has multiple features to protect the scalp and hair. The most amazing one is the Scalp protect mode that ensures to protect the hair right from root to the tip and provides long-term shine and prevents the over drying which is the most common drawback of all other regular dryers to give healthy looking and smooth hair. When this mode is ON, it automatically lowers heat when the dryer gets close to the scalp and when it is OFF, it allows to manually choose my heat setting. For quick results use the 'High' setting for fast drying and styling, select 'Medium' for regular drying, and use 'Low' for gentle drying. And when it comes to heat settings, it comes with four options. The first one is 212°F for fast drying and styling, the second one is at 176°F for regular drying, the third one is at 140°F for gentle drying, and the last one is at 82°F for constant cool To top it all, use the Wave+Curl diffuser to enhance the natural curl pattern with two modes that disperse airflow in two different ways. The Dome mode draws air into the dome and infuses it through the hair to enhance natural waves or curls for a more defined finish. This remmebers my styling pattern and automatically adjusts to the same fan speed and heat setting to give the same look over and over again. I do not have to memorize anything and let this do its job. With each different attachment it can keep the setting separate from each other. What more can I ask for, as when there is no activity the dryer automatically switch off the heater and also reduces the fan spped but quickly gets back to its job when reactivated. Overall, the hair dryer is a wonderful addition to my hair care collection and provides the much-needed satisfaction that my scalp will be protected at all times while using this dryer. I recommned this to all the potential users of hair dryer.

This latest version of Dyson’s Supersonic hair dryer is really great for my straight hair. I have the original Supersonic hair dryer, and have been using it for almost seven years. There’s nothing wrong with that hair dryer, but I had the chance to try this new one, so I had to get it to compare the two. The two hair dryers side by side are almost identical in shape and size (see my photo), but the Nural has a lot of new technology. The scalp protect mode is really interesting. I usually lose more hair than I would like to when drying my hair, but I notice that I don’t lose nearly as much with the scalp protect mode. That’s a win for me, because right now I have enough hair, but not if it keeps falling out. With all of my hair coloring and hair washing, I lose hair each time, so I like to keep what I’ve got! I have really straight hair, so I can’t really comment on the wave + curl diffuser. I completely forgot about it when I was taking pictures for this review, because I left it in the box. But I took a picture of it separately to show you. Drying my straight hair with the Dyson hair dryer is super quick. My hair length is just below my shoulders, and it’s of average density. It takes less than five minutes to thoroughly dry my hair. I go upside down to dry my hair from the backside, something I have done forever. It seems to be easier on the top surface of the hair. With the Dyson though, it might not even matter since it’s so good. But there's definitely more air flow through my hair, so it will speed up drying time. One hairdresser I used to see mentioned that she thought the cuticle of the hair is being sealed up with the power of the Dyson, which I’m not sure if that’s the case, but the texture of my hair is so nice after I use it. When I use a hotel hair dryer, it doesn’t feel the same. The flyaway attachment is new to me. My original dryer didn’t have that, and I kind of love it. With straight hair, if you have a few broken hairs that stick out, it’s really noticeable. The gentle air attachment is nice. I use that for drying my hair, and then use the styling concentrator afterwards. The new styling concentrator is great. The one on my original was so slippery it was hard to put on and remove. I do wish this new Supersonic came with a storage box, especially at this price point. I got a pink storage box with my original, so I’ll just use that. I’m still deciding who will get my hand-me-down Supersonic, but they won’t get my pink box. The pause styling is really helpful. The first time I tried it, I was a bit nervous, but now I’m okay with it. It works and it doesn't vibrate or shimmy off of the countertop. The Nural technology is something I’ll leave Dyson to explain, since I’m not a technology genius. But it is really a great update to an already great hair dryer. The patina color is really pretty.

This is my review for the Dyson Supersonic Nural Hair Dryer - Ceramic in the color Patina/Topaz. I recently received this Dyson hair dryer and I want to say this is one of the best hair dryers I have ever owned! I was really excited and couldn’t wait to open this, packaging and presentation did not disappoint! Dryer is very lightweight, attachments snap on easily. I love the color and the length of the cord, even though I feel like the cord is somewhat bulky and can get in the way but it seems like it is very sturdy and well made. My hair type is short, curly frizzy and thin hair. This dryer works well and does not leave my hair frizzy straight like my previous blow dryer did. I like my hair PIN straight, and this is perfect for me,I usually finish off my hair with a flat iron after I blow dry my hair - with this dryer it’s very minimal that I have touch up my hair with a flat iron. I also like the new and updated technology with this like the function when you put the dryer down (pause detect function) Overall I would recommend this to a friend, i absolutely love all my Dyson products!

As a dad who splurged on the Dyson Nural Supersonic Hair Dryer for my 23-year-old daughter, I can say that while the $500 price tag might raise eyebrows, it seems you truly get what you pay for. This is my second Dyson purchase, and while I can't personally attest to the intricacies of hair drying technology (that's my daughter's domain!), her enthusiastic reaction speaks volumes. Apparently, this blow dryer is a game-changer. According to her, it's the best she's ever owned, and she's no stranger to quality hair tools. She raves about it, and someone as particular about her hair as she is doesn't offer such praise lightly. While I can't articulate the specific benefits for her hair, her sheer delight and unwavering opinion that this Dyson is "awesome" is enough for me to deem it a worthwhile investment. Thank you, Dyson, for making my daughter (and this dad!) happy!

I bought this on a whim as I have been wanting one for awhile now. Within the first use I was instantly blown away!!! I fell in love right away. It made my hair feel so soft and looked so shiny and healthy (usually with my old blow dryer my hair would be extremely frizzy and dry and brittle looking). It feels very high quality and it dried my hair in half the time. I’m so glad I made this purchase after hesitating for so long. It was a game changer for me! I highly highly recommend!

One thing I must say is that I think it is RIDICULOUS that a $500 blow dryer does not come with a case or even a bag to proect it... so I will take 2 star off just for that reason. BUT, READ: This is still a very good product, still the best on the market! Just not great value for the purchase. I compared this blow dryer to the $180 Tymo, and we are sticking with this. The only thing the Tymo has on this blow dryer (Tymo AirHype to specify) is that it does actually have a slightly faster air speed, which you can tell by blowing it on your arm. The major features this has against it are: all of it's attachments are better (they are wider and longer so more air gets out, especially the comb and concentrator attachments), the cord is a lot higher quality, and the scalp protection feature is incredibly nice to have! If you would use any of those features, or value them, though the price difference is great I would purchase this dryer instead. The comb attachment on the Tymo is borderline not usable, and it is also annoying to use the cool shot button on that, so if you like to blow dry not using the highest temperature, this blow dryer would also be recommended over that.

I was happy to be able to buy it for my wife for her birthday but shortly a week after it went on sale for 100 cheaper and when i tried to get price matched they couldnt do it and i had to keep on trying over and over until i just had to give up since i cant just take a gift out of someones hand and return to do a stupid transation again. It would've been a 5 star experience if i actually got to see price match in action, but I guess it's not 100% guaranteed
