Customers praise the Powershred 63Cb 10-Sheet Crosscut Shredder for its quiet operation, durability, and affordability, making it well-suited for home use. While some customers would have preferred a confetti shredder, others found that it doesn't handle maximum capacity paper shredding very well.

It has safety features that would be useful when children are around. I don't think it does max capacity paper shredding very easily. If you are behind on shredding like I was you'll have to be patient but if used daily and you don't get piled up, it's more than adequate. Wish it didn't take so much space with the shreds of paper in the catch bucket because it fills up pretty fast. In other words I think diamond cut shredding would've been better

What can I say it's a shredder put paper In it and it cuts it up into little strips. The jam feature is nice sometime I stick to many pieces of paper together and the jam light comes on just put it in reverse for a couple of seconds and back again the shredder does the rest. Waste biin could be a little larger but it's ok just have to empty more often. It does get the job done Cut through credit cards, staples , and paper clips with no problem . Should hold up for a few more year then most.

This machine was bought after going to office depot and finding that their prices were a little high. We wanted something not too pricey but not cheap either and this was right in the middle. it works very well. It takes the papers a little slow if you are near the maximum sheets to shred but haven't had any jams in it like my old shredder!

I read many reviews for this product before purchasing. I was a little wary because some of them said that this shredder seemed to make a lot of noise. In my opinion, that is not at all true. It does the job with minimal noise level. The price is middle of the road for cross-cut shredders. It cuts papers and credit cards into very small pieces with ease. Also, the basket is front unloading which is extremely convenient.

I bought this shredder to replace an older one that stopped working. This is a good solid shredder. It is quiet, fast, and can shred a lot of sheets at a time. Only downside is that it's a little bit large and it is not that easy to empty it out without getting paper all over the floor. But overall, I would recommend it.

I found the shredder effective for my household needs. The plus with this model over the one I replaced is the "pull-out" bin for emptying the unit. I do not use a bag in the bin, with that do not overfill bin as the contents are more difficult to dump neatly when filled to capacity.

I bought this shredder to do some pretty massive shredding if years if personal documents. And I was also able to shred expired credit cards as well. My previous shredder couldn't handle the strain, and kept overheating. This shredder (Fellowes Powershredder) really lives up to its name in this department and shreds continuously without overheating. My only criticism would be that the receptacle for the shredded paper is small enough that you have to empty it fairly quickly or you end up with a stalled machine because of paper jams.

Crunched through 4 bins of old papers, staples and all, and even some credit cards in no time. Don't have the guts to try a credit card with metal in it, as that's what broke my former shredder in the first place and why I had to get a new one. This has done a great job so far, but I have had for only two months so I can't speak to longevity.

We'very burned out several cheaper shredders. This one seems sturdier than most. The anti-jamming mechanism is really helpful, too.

Love the size and the motor. Wish the feeder was slanted or a little easier to get the paper in. Otherwise, I'm very pleased.

After cleaning our basement I was left with more than 30 years of paid bills, cancelled checks and other assorted unneeded but potentially sensitive papers. This shredder fit the bill perfectly in helping me safely dispose of these items.

This is a nice-looking shredder that is, as promised, quiet. It does a good job of shredding and the auto-on feature is convenient. I have only run two or three sheets at a time, since this replaces a shredder that burned out from heavy use. It is relatively expensive, but I bought it because it looks good and because it provided the most information about its features on the box. Since there wasn't a display model, I was a bit surprised when I unpacked it to find it has a relatively small capacity and disappointed that there is no easy way to put a bag in. I managed to jury-rig a bag in it, but there aren't any kinds of grooves or supports to hold the bag. There are holes in the bottom of the base to accommodate casters, but none are provided. I was able to cannibalize the casters from the shredder I was replacing and re-use them in this machine, but you would think for the price that they would include casters.

I purchased this shredder for home use. After a couple of weeks so use the unit quit working due to the gears being stripped. I called Fellowes and they said this shredder can only be run for eight minutes and then rest for twenty minutes. I dont recall seeing this on the packaging unless it was in fine print and not meant to be read. Not a productive unit. It rest more than it works. Also, the basket is small and requires to be emptied too frequently. Shredder oil is not provided with this shredder and needs to be used after every full basket. I guess my only positive is that Fellowes did replace for me.

This shedder is pretty awesome. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasnt for this one thing. The basket is too small. Or rather, it takes very little for the sensor to state that the basket is full. Sometimes, I stop the machine, pat down the paper then continue.
