overall this is a very good and reliable shredder. i have gone through many shredders and am very happy purchasing this one. i use it at my home mainly for shredding mail, credit cards, ect... the only down sides about this shredder are: no wheels if you want to move it around to vacuum around it it is equipped with a safety hand sensing auto-shutoff. when trying to shred many papers, it will sometimes turn off because it senses your hand is near trying to feed the next paper. (this feature may be turned on/off, great if you have little ones around) you need to lift the heaviest part of the shredder off in order to empty it. this shredder doesn't have a swinging door or drawer type receptacle in order to empty it. it is the standard shredder over a trash can type, so you need to lift the shredder up off the bin. my wife complains about the weight of the shredder, but to me, its not that bad.

This was easy to put together and start using without even having to read the directions. Papers were shredded quickly and efficiently, both credit cards and thicker documents. Be careful not to put too many pages together at once. It got jammed several times, but it was easy to unjam. I went through a huge box of papers while I was watching TV. The motor ran pretty loud making it difficult to hear the show I was watching. I had to sit closely to the outlet since the cord wasn't especially long. It didn't take long before the basket was filled and had to be emptied. I didn't find that too much of a drawback. I bought this based on the good reviews and I'm pleased with my purchase. I did buy oil to keep the gears in good working order.

For the price, this shredder does a solid job. Very reliable for me...always works when I need it too. I've had a few issues when I've tried to put more than 10-12 sheets in where it gets stuck but I do like the reverse feature so you're not just stuck with paper sticking out of the machine.

Good medium duty shredder. Would have given 5 stars except emptying the basket is a mess and not designed well. Great shredder for the price.

For the money it is a good shredder, but it is not for heavy or continuous use. It will jam up if you put too much in it and the bin fills up very quickly. I would recommend it for occasional shredding of whatever papers you don't want laying around. Don't try to do a bulk amount of shredding at once.

Bought this shredder about a week ago. I had another Fellowes shredder before this that I used almost 12 years. I like this one also a lot and I hope to use it for a very long time. The basket seems to be smaller than before and I wish it was a little bigger.

Has taken up to 10 sheets of paper at once so far, with no problem. The instructions have now added "how" to oil it, so that problem has been solved. I would definitely recommend it.

This shredder works as described. I read many reviews on various products before buying this one and am glad I chose it. You won't be disappointed,

I love this product had it a couple of months AND couldnt be more pleased!!!!

Very good at shredding BUT very loud. Trash bin fills up quickly. Looks awesome but poor functional design. Almost always spills when you remove the top to empty the trash/collection bin. Wouldn't buy again if had to do over.

I replaced my old shredder with Fellowes shredder and it works well.

I needed a reliable shredder and this is the one. It shreds a large amount before it has to be emptied. It is quiet.

This is an excellent shredder for a home office. It doesn't overheat too quickly and I got through a mountain of envelopes in no time. While the advertisement states that it can shred 9 sheets at a time this is a bit of a stretch, I felt more comfortable with four sheets at a time. It is quieter than most shredders I have used in the past. I have not had any problem with jamming. I would definitely buy again.

This replaced another brand and the performance is superior in every category. Highly recommended.

Purchased four months ago for home use. 9 sheets per load is really pushing the limits; is comfortable with up to 6 sheets per load. I really like the automatic shut-off if something touches/blocks the feeder while shredding. Good overall.
