I needed more power to run my home system. Was using a small Onkyo 5.1 receiver and decided to scrap the surround sound and get some power to bring up the decibels. That's exactly what the Gemini XGA 5000 gave me. I've worked as a DJ before in clubs and mobile and there is nothing like DJ equipment for power and durability. Anybody looking to crank it up this is a great reliable amp.

Bought this amp to replace a very old Carver amp that runs my subwoofer in my home theater. The unit I got had one bad channel. The left side input did not function so there was no way I could use it in mono bridged mode.
I decided not to replace it as the fans in it were really really loud. Too loud for home use.
I could see this as a great amp to haul around and crank out sound for parties etc where the fans would keep it nice and cool and the fan noise would not be an issue.

This has power but it is way too loud for studio recording. Needs to be in another room if using indoors.
