Worst purchase ever! The design of this product is a nightmare! They never thought of repair which is pretty common for commuting scooters. I got a flat tire on the second week. I had serious trouble disassemble this thing. You have to break the yellow reflection pad to reach the screws to disassemble the front wheel. I locate 4 holes on the inner tube, almost all of them locate near the rim. The poor quality rim cut the tire! There is no other solution except switching to a solid tire! If I didn't try to fix this garbage myself, I would definitely request a refund. Gotrax definitely needs to really think about what they are delivering to their customers!

DO NOT BUY if you don’t have the patience to change tire. It’s Impossible to change out a flat tire on this model. It shouldn’t be this hard to change out. It was working good until the flat. I’m going to send it back to the manufacturer for repairs. Bought it as a Christmas gift 12/2023

Had trouble right out of box. Wouldn't charge. Vendor wanted to contact them, not Best Buy. After two attempts to contact, managed to get charged but after son rode 3 times, for an E3 error message. Again contacted the company. I decided to return to Best Buy. Two straight Geek Squad appts set and waiting an hour each, just left it with a Post It and chalk as a loss. When it ran, it ran fine. But in meantime, sorry kiddo - no 12th BDay present thanks to this bunch.

GoTrax - Xr PRO Commuting Electric Scooter Included- the GoTrax Xr PRO scooter, power adapter/charging unit, allen wrench, tire gauge pipe, 6 screws and manual So this is my first electric scooter and I've always been a little apprehensive about them but after owning this I'm now a huge fan! It's so much fun to ride. The scooter comes partially assembled so it only takes a few minutes to finish putting together. The manual was clear and helpful with pictures and instructions. You will need to fully charge the scooter before your first ride. A full charge will take about 6 hours. There is a light indicator on the charger to inform you of the status. A red light means it's charging and a green light means it's fully charged. To operate the scooter, it's very easy. Press and hold the black power button for three seconds and then do the same to power down. There is a power headlight to help for safety and it easily turns on and off with a double click of the same black button. There is also a way to switch gears to ride in a faster speed. It starts in gear 1 and to switch to gear 2 press the black button once. Gear 1 is supposed to be a top speed of 15.5 mph and gear 2 a top speed of 20 even though we've only gotten up to 19mph. Another feature to the GoTrax Xr Pro is that it offers cruise control. To activate that, press the right-hand throttle down for 8 seconds. To deactivate it, press the brake button or the throttle again. The display will show you the speed, mileage, battery life, light status and the current gear. To start riding, once it's powered on, put one foot on the pedal and keep one on the ground. Push off, bring your other foot up on the pedal and accelerate. The steering is very easy to maneuver. It took me a little more time to get used to the feel of the acceleration and brake but overall it's a very smooth ride. The scooter is really so much fun to zip around on. I am very impressed with how fast it can really go. This GoTrax - Xr Pro has a range of up to 19 miles and max speed of 20 mph so it will really help my son get around his big state college campus and save him quite a bit of time. My only concern is how we will make sure to secure it when he parks the scooter at class so it won't be stolen. You can store the scooter upright with the help of the nice kickstand or there's the option to fold it down. It's easy to fold and unfold. I highly recommend this electric scooter. The speed and range are perfect and more affordable than other scooters. It's a great scooter to own. Pros- Foldable Easy to steer Plenty of power Power headlight/brake light Cruise control Cons- Could be easy to steal

    Great Commuter Electric Scooter

GoTrax has a really good commuter scooter with the Xr Pro. I was a little worried at first due to the short handle bars and how narrow the deck is, but it ended up surprising me how easy it was to ride it. I've had a different electric kick scooter for a while and it's deck is wide and it uses normal length handle bars, but the GoTrax wasn't as difficult to ride as I originally expected it to be. I've put 30+ miles on it and haven't had any issues with it. It's build/construction is good and feels like a solid scooter. The only thing I noticed in that regard was that when stationary, I can feel just a little bit of play in the stem. I didn't notice then whenever the scooter was in motion, but only when I was stopped. The break is a mechanical break, but is more than sufficient to stop the scooter. It's good enough that you can lock up the rear wheel if you needed to. I didn't have any problems stopping even when stopping from going from the top speed of 18 that I was able to get out of it. It uses a single motor and there is a cover on each side of the from wheel to cover the motor. I didn't notice any over heating when riding 17 miles in the heat of the summer. The provided charging block heats up when charging the scooter, but didn't seem to get dangerously hot. GoTrax says it can take up to 6 hours to charge. Of the times I've charged it, it would take up to 4 hours, but that all depends on how far you deplete the battery before charging it. The 4 hours was charging it up from a little more than 20% to 100%. The display shows 4 bars indicating charge remaining on the battery. That's helpful, but it would be nice to see battery percentage remaining. You also have a trip meter which is easy to read and reset. It does keep track of mileage on the odometer as well. Unfortunately, when you turn off the Xr Pro, it resets the trip meter. It also has cruise control. This is a tremendous help when riding a long distance. I did have issue with setting it at times. You have to hold a speed for 10 seconds in order for cruise control to be set. This can cause an issue getting it set if you fluctuate your speed since you have to hold a speed for the 10 seconds before it sets it to that speed. It would be good if GoTrax had a button to set cruise instead. I found the light to be sufficient, but would be nice to see it changed to a light that shines just a little bit further ahead. It also has a rear red light. The light is easy to see at night. It comes with two yellow bike reflectors on the front. One on each side of the front fork. There are also two red reflectors on each side of the rear wheel. It would be good if GoTrax could change those to be LED lights in the future. I think that would help with visibility at night so others may notice you better. The Xr Pro doesn't have suspension. The pneumatic tires are the only means of absorbing bumps. On side walks, I didn't find this to be a problem, but on some roads and on side walks in bad shape, this was a problem. As long as your city's side walks are in reasonably good shape, this shouldn't be a problem for you. Pros: Price Max Distance (about 20 miles) Speed (I got up to 18mph) Construction Cons: No side LED lights (just reflectors) No button for cruise control Overall, I like the Xr Pro. This would make a good low cost commuter scooter for someone in a big city or others who have side walks they can take to their destinations. The speed isn't enough to take on the road, but you will have no problems on side walks.

Great e-scooter once you actually see and use

Short Summary: Very pleased with this E-scooter, wasn't a fan of the squarish tubing since most other e-scooter had that rounded modern look but I quickly got over that, once I saw it in person. The folding latch is also a good looking machined piece is robust. The e-scooter was able to take me to 18mph but I am 220lbs so it was a bit slow on getting up to speed. Overall, I'd recommend the GoTrax Xr Pro for anyone looking for stylish and good transportation or just using it for fun. I was a bit hesitant to get the the goTrax Xr Pro just because of the squarish-tubing that I saw in photos but once I got to see it in person, that quickly went out the window and now, I'm really digging the entire look of the scooter. Assembly was easy, 6 screws and attaching the handle cables and you're done. It was also very intuitive with no questionable "where does this go" type items. Assembly only took me about 15 minutes and I was riding the e-scooter around my block. The GoTrax Xr Pro, would be great for anyone just getting into e-scooter for transportation. Battery life was pretty good. I was able to ride roughly 5-6 miles and power meter look to be still full. I really like that the scooter had cruise control for the long straight aways that you don't need to do any turning or dealing with traffic. One negative thing, might be the brakes. Learn to modulate it, I slide a bit when trying to do an abrupt stop. The brakes lock up quick so get familiar with the brakes first! Overall, I'm very happy with this scooter, I can recommend this e-scooter to anyone just getting into e-scooters.

This is my first electric scooter ever, and I feel like it is a great starter scooter for adults. Im 6' tall and about 240 lbs and I am able to balance myself pretty good on it. It was relatively easy to put together. Most of it is already done, you just have to attach the handle and grips to the bar which is done with a few screws and an Allen wrench. You connect the power cable that is hidden inside the bar before doing so. My only complain / fear is that I had to release the brake cable a bit to give it more slack before running it through the brake handle. It was too tight out of the factory. And since this is my first time ever owning a scooter, It took me a while to figure out why I couldn't pull and thread the brake line through the handle. I have the paranoia in the back of my mind , that I didn't do it right and one day the brake line is going to come loose lol. It's been fine, but I tend to overthink. So I'd like to mention to the manufactures, that Please make sure the brake line is set to the correct length before shipping them out. Anyway.. The deck is long and wide enough for me. The bar is long (tall). While standing on it, the bars are pretty much just above my belly button. Making it a comfortable ride height. It has a bell for alerting pedestrians that you are coming. A bright headlamp for nighttime cruising, and 2 speed settings. I believe the first speed keeps you below 10mph, which is where I always keep it and the 2nd speed lets you reach the max of 15.5 mph. It has a cruise control setting which lets you keep a constant speed. But I didn't use that either since I don't travel very long distances with it. The battery claims to have a 19 mile range before charging it. I think it's pretty accurate, I haven't had to charge it since I took it out of the box about a week ago. I've used it to take a stroll around the park near me and to run to the convenient store for snacks and beverages. The last and only other negative I should mention is that it does not come with a key or any type of security device. So I wouldn't leave it laying around where someone could easily steal it. So I would recommend a locking cable for it to deter would be thieves. All in All, I would recommend this scooter if you are a first time owner or even a seasoned scooter rider. It has great range and battery life, charges quickly and was relatively easy to learn to ride / balance myself on. Start slow, it definitely has some pep to it lol. And always wear a helmet!

The GoTrax Xr Pro electric scooter has been a blast to ride these past few days that I have had it. After mounting the handles onto the stem with 6 included screws and attaching the brake cable, I was ready to charge it up and I let it charge up over night and it was ready to go the next day. This is my first electric scooter that I have ever ridden, and I have to say that it was very easy to just get on and go. The initial thrill of power was very fun, and I had a smile on my face for that first ride of over an hour. The bright display is easy to read and after a little bit of trial and error, I was able to figure out the one button operation. Power on/off with a 3 second press, a quick press after its on will put the scooter in P2 mode which tops out at 18 MPH (P1 mode is 15MPH), two quick presses will power on the headlight and brake light. My first ride was just after sunset and the headlight was bright enough to light up the path about 10-15 feet out front, but not much more than that. A brighter light would have been welcome here, but I don’t plan on riding much at night. The stop light is bright enough I feel for people to see you, and it will flash when you tap the brake lever. Speaking of the brakes, I don’t feel that they can stop you very well if you are at full speed, but lower speeds of about 15 and below, they feel good enough. Overall, the deck is pretty comfortable and provides enough width and grip that I feel safe on it. The scooter is rated for riders up to 264lbs and I weigh 200lbs. I feel that my weight affected my acceleration, distance, and uphill speed, but it was still fun to experience the power it did have. A rider who is 150lbs will probably have even more fun. The scooter easily folds up and fits in the trunk of my Gen 2 Honda Ridgeline or in the back seat area just fine but at a hefty 36lbs, you will have to exert some effort in order to tote it around. As I mentioned before, it was easy to just jump on and ride, and the controls are simple enough, but I found the cruise control feature (hold throttle for 10 seconds is only usable at full throttle, so if you want to set it for a lower speed just to cruise, it is hard to keep it in the same speed for that full 10 seconds. Documentation on this is not very accurate and there are mistakes in the instructions throughout the book. One place it says top speed is 20 and others it says 15, and it says to press the red button on the display to change the modes, but the button is actually black…just some things I wanted to make a note of. This is a great beginner scooter for those who may want to consider riding one of these to get to work or just to jet over the store or a friend’s house real quick. I am really enjoying the ride and the thrill of the fresh air blowing through my hair as I ride down the road.

I have been riding this eScooter to work everyday for the last several months. I park at the train station and bring this to the train and then from the station ride the rest of the way on my GoTrax. Its easier and faster to unstow/stow in the vehicle than a bicycle. Fast enough to get me to work in 7 min. Following the charging guideline and NOT constantly changing speed, has kept the battery working in top performance. Only negative is that I have to assist going up the small hill, 26 degree incline, at work.

I am really happy with this product. It is sturdy, fast, convenient and charges quickly. I purchased it as a means of transport to and from work. I am nearing the end of my first week using it daily and it’s great. At around 100 miles on the odometer, I’ve found a few quirks but just things that need rider adjustment. Ex. Goin over bumps more than 3in or so can be rough so doing a little hop and pulling the front wheel over the bump helps a lot. When you want to stop, make sure to have weight on the back end or you’ll skid real bad. Riding at night definitely needs extra safety gear, but the headlight is bright enough to illuminate my patch for about 75 ft. Charging time says around 6 hours but it’s really between 4-5 for a fullski. P1 tops out at 15 mph and P2 at 18mph. Range says 18 miles but I live in Colorado Springs with a lot of large hills so it’s closer to about 10-12 miles. Weight limit is solid because the battery will just die insanely quickly. If you’re over 230, go for the next higher voltage. Overall I am really happy with this purchase and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to save on gas or speed up a route from walking. I got a good deal on the monthly payments and I’m definitely getting my moneys worth. Forgot to mention that the folding feature is secure, convenient and easy to use.

I bought this electric scooter for my son, who is a freshman in college. He has been using it for over a month and he loves it. He says is much more practical than moving around with his bicycle (that now rests in my garage). The battery lasts as advertised, and the speed is very good to move on campus. Assembly was easy, and took as around an hour. Is a little heavier that other models, but so far he says has not been a problem because the dorms have elevators.
