love the breadmachine, it has many different cycles. I use it primarily for pizza dough and it does a great job.

Easy to use and simple directions, makes delicious breads, only thing that isn't so great is that the mixing paddle isn't very stable and detaches from the bottom of the machine and ends up in a loaf!

It's my first bread maker. In fact I don't know how to use it.
It's very easy to use and I did make a bread after 3 hours, although it does not taste as I expect. Maybe I did not completely follow the recipe.
Anyway, it's a very nice bread make. All I need is to find a good recipe to make a tasty bread.

I have used the bread maker once, and the bread turned out amazing! I love homemade bread, but hate the hassle. So I love that the bread turned out so good. :)

Smokey/Toxic Smell When Prepping the Artisan Model

I returned the Hamilton Beach Artisan Doughmaker to the store I bought it (not BestBuy) because it created too much smoke when preparing the breadmaker prior to breadmaking use, per the instructions.
The plastic lining (Teflon-like surface?) must be what caused the smoke when I turned the breadmaker on to "bake" for 10 minutes. The entire house filled w/a toxic-smelling smoke, despite the kitchen exhaust fan above the breadmaker. I tried 4 more times, placing the breadmaking outside on my porch, 10 minutes each, again at "bake" setting, since I read that the smoke would stop after a couple of preparation baking times but it did not. The smoke burned the inside of my nose.
The toxic, smokey smell remained in my kitchen for days. I can't imagine that the smell would permeate the bread dough as it baked.
I DO NOT recommend this model or perhaps even manufacturer, espcailly if they used a material that smells (is?) toxic to breathe at baking temperatures.
