I upgraded my kitchen to black so this was an attractive choice. The steak knifes are much superior. All others feel and seem thinner on the metal part where your index finger meets the back of the knife. I also would have liked a flat block design between my finger (the handle) and the sharp part of the knife.

Love that some of the knives have a built in sharpener in the block. I did see little rust spots after putting the regular steak knives in the dishwasher.
