I got this to replace my Steam Decks charger after it died on me, and this is a good little charger. The power produced is enough to charge the battery pretty quickly, the included cable is sturdy and pretty long, and it fits in the compartment for the original charger. The only qualm is that the brick does get warm while charging higher draw devices (but given its smaller size, it’s understandable)

I haven't had too big of an issue but the cube does heat up a bit. Not uncomfortably hot but I'm keeping an eye on it to make sure it's not a bigger issue. Other than that it charges fast and does what it's supposed to do.

What more could you want in a charger? This Insignia 45W charger can quickly charge many of your USB-C devices, is easily portable, and feels high-quality. I have used this charger for a couple of days now and it works flawlessly. This Insignia charger can charge phones, headphones, tablets, and more of your USB-C devices. This will charge some laptops as well. I am currently typing this on a laptop that typically uses a 65w charger but was able to charge this laptop (albeit rather slowly) with this Insignia charger. For any laptop (e.g. gaming laptops) that requires more than 65W, I would suggest not using this Insignia charger. The charging brick is compact as well. The prongs fold into the brick so the brick can go into a pocket or small bag. The outside is a glossy plastic which gives it a sleek glossy look. The USB-C to USB-C cable is 6ft long and braided which I find typically lasts longer compared to a rubber cable. Black is a splendid color too. I also own a white 30W version of this charger and prefer the black color scheme better. Most people will use this to charge their phones. I mostly used this with my Galaxy S21 Ultra and it works great! My phone supports what Samsung calls “Super Fast Charging” and this charger provides that. My phone was able to go from half battery to full in less than 25 minutes! One minor downside I did find was that the power brick does get a little too hot. I would certainly place this in an open area where children or pets cannot reach or touch it. While touching the brick while hot does not hurt, it does sting after leaving a finger on there for a couple of seconds. Although, I don’t think this is exclusive to this model of charger. My 30W version of this charger also has the same issue. It seems heat dissipation is not the most efficient with this design. Overall, this is a solid wall charging kit. You get a small and portable charging brick and a 6ft braided cable. Both of which feel high-quality. This can charge all your portable electronics including some laptops. If your phone supports fast charging, this will do that as well. The only minor downside I found was how hot the power brick got. If you are looking for a solid wall charging kit that will last you a while, I certainly recommend you try this one out!

Great little charger, with an included USB-C to USB-C that can pass 240 watts. This is a GAN charger, which can output up to 45 watts. It gets a little warm, but not nearly as warm as other non GAN chargers I have had that are of similar wattage. Although it is heavily marketed towards Samsung and Apple mobile products on the packaging, I had absolutely no problems fast charging Google Pixel 8 and Google Pixel 9 phones. I also had no problems charging a Microsoft Surface Go Tablet. The charger is very small as you can see in my photos, and the electrical prongs fold down making it even smaller to fit into a bag. Great USB-C to USB-C that is 6 feet long and pretty durable with an attached fastener to help store it. For the money, this is a great charger that can charge phones and more. This charger also has PPS charging, which changes voltage as needed when it senses the device needs more or less of it. I found that this to be the case when I had it charging my tablet which seemed to feel cooler as it approached a 90 percent charge on it.

Great value here where you get a 240W USB-C to USB-C (480 mbps) cord that is braided and 6 feet. Braided cable isn’t the most flexible but does have an attached rubber tie to keep the cable manageable in your bag. Is using GAN technology, PPS, PD, and USB-IF certified. All of that is listed on the device itself showing the certifications, which I like to see. It is tiny making it highly portable and makes it so when plugging into an outlet it won’t get in the way of other plugs. The foldable plug makes it so it won’t catch on your pocket or bag. But requires a good amount of force to get open and snaps closed hard. 45W is a good, sweet spot. Providing enough power to unlock fast charging on a lot of mobile devices (phones, tablets, earbuds, etc, not laptops). Along with still being very tiny and portable. It will also work on limited laptops (I’d double check your laptop charging speeds before purchasing for that reason). Such as the MacBook Air. But typically, you’d want to use a 65W or higher charger to get full charging speeds. On high end laptops this won’t work as they require a lot more watts. Overall, design is attractive. But it has a shiny gloss exterior which makes it seem like a piece of plastic is still covering it (which I don’t think is the case as I certainly tried to peel it off). Honestly, no complaints here. Just what I was looking for to be used on the go at work and at school.

The Insignia USB type C charger is very simple and very effective. For being a house brand, I feel that the charger is very high quality and the packaging feels high quality as well. The cable that is included with this setup is braided with an attached rubber band that allows you to bundle the cable and secure it. I really like the black and orange color scheme as the cable is very easy to find and see. When it comes to functionality, the charger works fantastic. I plugged in my phone and it started super fast charging right of way. This will be at least a fast charge for other devices that don't have super fast charge. I connected my tablet and it charged it in a few hours. What I like most is that this charger will also charge a laptop with USB type C charging compatibility. This makes traveling with a laptop much easier as I don't have to lug around my bulky charger. The charging prongs also fold down making it even easier for travel. Once folded in and the cord bundled, this makes for the perfect travel companion.

Say what you will about “house-brand” products but we’ve had nothing but excellent results and stellar performance (especially for the price) with Best Buy’s Insignia line of products we’ve bought and tested over the years including 4K TVs, battery packs, wireless chargers, home office furniture, home theater outlet strips and surge protectors, and now a 45W GaN charger that delivers all the goods and more in an impossibly small package for a reasonable price. The charger itself is fairly nondescript but does add in a small splash of styling by featuring a raised clear plastic shell that gives the various branding images and silk-screened lettering the illusion of floating slightly above the surface. The 2-prong plug folds neatly into the shell which makes the entire assembly easily pocketable and takes up virtually no room when it’s time to stow the charger amidst a cluttered backpack or bag. Kudos to Insignia for also packing in a 6 foot-long highspeed (5A/240W) USB-C cable. The sleeving is tightly braided to help avoid kinks, but not so much that the cable feels stiff and difficult to route around or under a desk. The ample strain relief at each end is accented with a little splash of orange—nothing earthshaking, but it does help if you need to fish this particular cable out from a snake’s nest of other charging and data cables. All told, everything feels solid and of good quality. In action, it does what it’s supposed to—it handily charged flashlights, headlamps, headphones, iOS and Android phones, and even tablet computers and 2-in-1s. The charger supports fast charge and PPS (programmable power supply) fast charging for those devices that can take advantage of it (like several newer Google and Samsung phones) to charge up even faster and more efficiently than simpler fixed-rate chargers. Using a third-party cable with an LED display, I verified that the charger was passing between 43-45 watts when I used it as a power adapter for my 45W Chromebook and during demanding gaming sessions on my Steam Deck. As expected, however, it could not keep up with the 65-watt power requirements of my ASUS ZenBook 2-in-1 or my Rog Ally X to keep them running and simultaneously charge the battery. So long as your charging needs aren’t extremely high-wattage, or you’re willing to charge your higher-wattage devices slower/when they are turned off, this Insignia USB-C PD charger really does turn in great performance per dollar in a well-built, travel and space-friendly form factor—highly recommended!

I have different cables for different devices and not all cables or chargers charge the same so having the right fast charger and the right strong durable cable is a must, especially like myself that take both on the go. The Insignia 45W Foldable Compact Wall Charging Kit is a versatile and efficient charging solution designed for USB-C smartphones, tablets, and more. It is a compact, reliable and portable charger. It charges devices fast with its 45W output, including phone, tablet and some laptops. The cable does have 480 Mbps data transfer speed to easily transfer information between devices. PPS or programmable power supply is convenient because it adjusts voltage and current based on the device it is charging. The charger that plugs on the wall is foldable to store away so it is easy to travel with anywhere. The 6 ft. USB-C cable is braided so in return it is strong and durable while it looks great. Overall the 45w foldable compact wall charger kit from Insignia is a great choice to travel with either to work somewhere else, or to travel with. It charges many of my devices that do not come with a long cable or a charger. It convenient with a good build and best of all it looks great.

If you’re looking for a high quality charger for a multitude of devices then I highly suggest this kit from Insignia! As we all know more and more devices are unfortunately no longer coming with the power brick in the box, so having a good quality unit is pretty clutch. Inside the box: Nice braided 6ft USB-C to USB-C cable, and the charger itself. What it works well for: Any phones or tablets that support fast charging (PD) will work with this and get advertised charging speeds. Also works great with any older iPhones/iOS devices provided you have a C to Lightning cable. What I’ll be using this most for is my laptop which also manages to charge really fast. I just don’t want to drag around the beefy power units laptops usually come with, and this is by far more compact. I could easily fit the brick itself in the side pocket of my backpack, and because it folds I had more space and didn’t have to worry about it ruining or scratching anything. Easy recommendation! With USB-C charging becoming more and more ubiquitous, I find myself looking for high-quality, durable wall chargers and cables that will quickly charge my devices. This new Insignia charging kit fits the bill perfectly. === PROS === - The charging brick is compact and has a foldable plug, so you can easily throw it in a travel bag without having to worry about damaging it. - The included USB-C cable has a nice braided design and feels very durable. It is 6 feet long, which is a perfect length. It also has a nice rubber cable tie to keep the cable coiled up when not in use. - This charger has a total output of 45W, which is more than enough to charge most modern smartphones and tablets at the fastest possible speeds. It works perfectly with my new iPhone 16 Pro Max and charges it very quickly. It also seems to remain relatively cool to the touch while charging. === CONS === - My only gripe is that the charging brick has a glossy black or dark gray finish, so it will easily show fingerprints and scratches. But it's a charging brick, so appearance doesn't really matter. === OVERALL === I've always been a fan of Insignia's smartphone and charging accessories, and this new 45W USB-C charging kit is no exception. I have ALOT of devices and gadgets being the nerdy person I am. I jumped at the chance to leverage a fast charger for my iPhone 14 Pro (with a lightning cable), various iPads and a plethora of other devices with the included USB-c to USB-C cable. I really like the foldable plug - and don't plan to even own one without that feature again. Just easier to throw in my tech backpack and not worry about it (the plugs) getting caught on the mesh pocket I store it in. The included cable is absolutely solid as well. It's a braided cable with built in tie strap and reinforced ends. It just feels good plugging it into a device. The plastic end near the tip of the cable is a little big - so check the the fit of your device openings just in case the plastic hits the case and prevents a good connection. When using other cables - be sure they are a quality items as that can definitely affect your charging performance. Overall - very happy with the wall charger - but I will be buying one with more ports next time!

The cable is fantastic quality, the charger feels great in the hand, and you can tell it is sturdy to throw in a backpack and not worry about anything breaking. Size is fantastic and even not on sale, this package is well worth the quality.

The charger is compact and folds up for easy storage. This was a great deal and thia is a rapid charger. Extremely satisfied with the purchase.

This product is tiny, and the cable is great. This is now my travel USB wall plug. It fits anywhere and all of my devices charge at 45watts or less!
