Just add batteries. It's better than my original remote. I also bought a cheaper version, but it's lightweight and inferior.

The remote that came with the tv worked for awhile. We purchased this remote that was compatible with our tv. We've used the remote about a month now and everything is working great.

Didn't even have to read the directions just went by what he said. This was purchased for an older lady at an assistant living facility who was unable to use the remote that came with her new tv. She also finds it easy to use.
