    JBL vs Rotel

I've compared this directly to a Rotel CD11 Tribute as I have both and believe they are both very good sounding players. The Rotel does have more detail and is cheaper, but it's also buggy. Sometimes it will repeat the last song of a disc over and over until I stop it. Other times it will stop playing a disc before it's finished. The JBL works flawlessly so far and has the better low end of the two. It's definitely more punchy and lively. I guess it depends on the sound you're after. Either way, the sound of both is 5 stars but I'd take away a half star on the Rotel due to the bugs. After all, it's a CD player...not exactly new technology.

Pricey item but sounds and looks great. I’ m not crazy about the control buttons. Functionality of the buttons is awkward and somewhat lame imho.
