As soon as the JLab Epic Work ANC Wireless Over-the-Ear Headphones arrived I wanted to check them out since I already have JLab earbuds and they sound great, and I think now the headset have been better than I expected.
Right out of the box I like the packaging since it is recyclable, and it also looks nice.
Then the overall look of the headphones looks modern and cool with its matte finish. The docking station as well as the headphones go well together too.
I have worn the headphones all day due to the cloud foam comfort and since I do use them to take calls as well as listen to my music. I have been able to do that because they can be connected to two different devices, and I can jump from one another and that includes my laptop, computer, cell phone and more. And the docking station can be used to charge the headphones or and also to use to connect using the dongle that is included to my pc.
I really like the battery life the set gets, up to 90 hours with ANC off and with ANC on it is less at 60 hours yet that is more than enough for me. And when I am taking breaks, or I step away I can either take them with me or set them on the docking station so they can fast charge them.
As for the way they work, they do a job well done, while making calls, the noise cancelling enhances the quality of the call and the people at the other end of the call can hear me well and when I want to mute the mic, all I have to do is raise or flip the mic.
When I am at down time and I want to listen to music, videos, podcasts and more, the JLabs do a good job with different sounds. The ANC is good, not the very best since the headphones are not over the ears, I can still hear some of my surroundings, but they do reduce a lot of noise. The aware mode is also good since I can listen to what I want while being aware.
I already had the JLab application for my JLab earbuds, and I have been enjoying it for different reasons like being able to access different functions such as turn ANC on/off, hear yourself, equalizer, button controls, call controls, safe hearing, check for updates, and more. And each one of these can be customized.
Also, in the app there are nine ambient sounds, such as wind, rain and that can be relaxing, I can listen to one or all at the same time or combine the ones I like. I can also see the control guide, so I do not need to look for the manual to know how to use them. It can even take me to the JLab store.
Overall, The JLab Epic Work ANC Wireless Over-the-Ear Headphones have been great for every day all day use. Comfortable, great sound and call quality making days more productive and something less to worry about. Working from home has been enhanced with them. I can access both of my JLab earbuds and headphones with the same application.

A Must Have Device for Work and Home

Let me start off by saying I have a lot of tech devices and the JLab Epic Work ANC is one of my top 5 picks for my favorite devices of 2024. I will go into detail about why I made this bold statement down below. I am considered a Hybrid worker. I work from home 60 percent of the work week. All my meetings are all online which requires a headset when I’m working remote and in the office. I needed to use 2 different headsets since my super expensive earbuds were limited in the battery department and I had to keep manually disconnecting and reconnecting them from my work laptop and from my phone while listening to podcasts and music. Enter the JLab Epic Work headphones. These bad boys solved all my issues.
2 in 1 docking system
One of the coolest features of owning the headphones is having the docking system. The dock allows the headphones to have a place to reside without taking up too much desk space at all. Not only is the dock capable of housing the Epic Work headphones, it has the ability to charge, and connect instantaneously to the device when the dongle is connected to the dock. You have the ability to use the USB-C dongle to connect directly to your devices or directly to the dock.
Bluetooth
The only issue that I ran into was the dock and headset having only USB-C wires and inputs. My work laptop only has one USB-C port, so I needed to use and USB-C to USB type A cable to plug the dock into my computer. Ater testing different setups, I found out the best solution for me is to use Bluetooth instead of using the dock or the dongle. The reason is the ability to use Bluetooth multipoint. Now I can have both my phone and work computer connected to my headphones simultaneously without the need of frequently disconnecting both. I can’t recommend using this feature enough. This has saved me from all the hassles of carrying separate headsets for work and personal uses.
JLab App
I have an Android so I was able to download the JLab mobile app directly from the Google Play Store fairly easy. I created an account and logged in and registered my device. I was then able to download the latest firmware for the headset. I recommend downloading the mobile app as there are several features and enhancements that the app brings. Noise canceling works really well in my testing, its able to block out televisions and people talking fairly easily. Be aware mode gives a certain level of comfort to hear your surroundings, and hear yourself mode allows you to monitor your own voice while on a call. The equalizer is pretty good. I did use the burn-in tool and turned the volume up halfway as suggested. Running this test allowed me to test the battery life on the headphones as well. I was super impressed with the number of hours/days the headphones lasted. The app also allows you to change/update the button functions for ease of use as well.
Conclusion
I’m really happy with the JLab Epic work headset. I actually plan on buying another set for work. I recommended this headset to most of my co-workers and family. This headset has so many features with a multi-function dock that comes with an ultra-affordable price. I recommend this headset to anyone who wants a great headset for budget conscious shoppers. I also recommend this headset or the ultra-high-end shoppers as well. Why spend more when you can get more for less.

Video conferencing post the COVID pandemic has become very routine. Once an occasional event, I typically currently attend about ninety nine percent of meetings and trainings in this manner for my professional duties. In light of the aforementioned, it is paramount that headsets required for these interactions be functional, comfortable and robust as they can possibly while providing value. Having previously been very reluctant of headsets with booms, I find myself continually impressed by JLAB’s Epic Work ANC On-Ear Headset.
As packaged:
• JLAB Epic Work ANC Wireless On-Ear Headset
• USB-C Dongle
• Dock Stand
• USB-C to USB-C Cable (almost 60 inches)
These headsets are light and comfortable. Although they are “on-ear”, I do not feel tired wearing them for long periods. The headband is padded and appears to be durably connected to the earcups. I have previously owned headsets that had plastic connections to the earcups which eventually cracked or snapped within rather short periods of moderate use. The muffs as previously mentioned are comfortable and should have been leather in my opinion for additional durability. The right earcup houses the rotating boom which mutes conversations when vertical and unmutes in the horizontal position. This feature can definitely help with the nuances of muting and unmuting during use. Although the application in use may not depict the correct status, having the option to simply swivel the boom for the appropriate microphone status is a plus in my books. On the right earcup are also the volume rocker, power button and a JCON/logo button (default control for audio noise cancellation, Be Aware and Hear Yourself functions.) Both buttons are configurable and capable of multifunction based on the input (i.e. single, double or long tap.) The Logo button can also be disabled to prevent accidental taps. A USB-C port, an LED status indicator and additional microphone for the noise-cancelling features complete the list of items located on the right earcup. The left earcup has the charging connectors for the dock stand and another microphone for the noise-cancelling features.
JLAB’s Epic Work ANC Wireless On-Ear Headset has multiple connectivity options:
• Hardwired via included USB-C cable
• USB-C Dongle via direct connection to compatible devices or via dock stand (which would need to be connected directly to compatible device)
• Bluetooth – with ability to stay connected to two devices at any time
The hardwired connection can be direct between the headset and the device using the included USB-C cable or in a daisy chain via the dock stand; this setup will require an additional USB-C cable as there will be a connection between the dock stand and device as well as a second wired connection between the dock stand and the headset. For the hardwired connection, the headset must be turned off to be recognized. The headset gets charged when hardwired. While the headset needs to switched off for this connection, the noise cancelling and Be Aware features remain available. In my experience, the equalizer options are not available via this connection.
The USB-C connection option establishes a wireless connection between the headset and a compatible device. The included USB-c dongle stows away in the dock stand when not needed. This connection can be established with the USB-C dongle directly connected to the compatible device or via a connection to the dock stand when it (the dock stand) is physically connected to the compatible device via a USB-C cable such as the one included. Noise cancelling and be aware features remain available along with access to the equalizer options while connected in this manner.
Connections via Bluetooth offer the most versatility in my opinion. This is the only connection with access to the JLAB app (Google Play or Apple App Store) which in turn provide capabilities listed below:
• Configure power and JCON/Logo buttons
• Tweak custom equalizer
• Tweak custom Hear Yourself volume level
• Configure safe hearing volume level
• Update headset software
• Access to nine different ambient sounds (soothing in my experience) which can be mixed should that be desired
• Access to burn-in tool (to help break in components for “optimal performance” per JLAB
Using this headset is fairly straightforward. Once turned on, the user is greeted with a confirmation voice note “JLAB on.” For initial setup, a long press of the power button activates the pairing mode and allows nearby devices to add via Bluetooth. As previously stated, the headset can be connected to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously. Once the initial pairing has been completed, simply turn off the Bluetooth on that device and repeat the pairing process with the second device. Upon turning on the headset, a “Bluetooth connected” message is heard should a previously connected device be within proximity. This message will repeat should two previously connected devices be within proximity confirming they have been connected to the headset. When turning off, “JLAB off” can be heard before shutdown.
Sound output is very clear. The equalizer has presets for voice and music. A custom option is user configurable, and all three options can be used for either music or voice needs. The bass is deep and comparable to some other high end over-the ear variants I have previously owned. For calls, I have been told quality is clear. The Hear Yourself function enables the user to get a sense of the sound of their voice as heard by the recipients on the other end. There is an option to increase, decrease or disable this effect. The smart Active Noise-Cancelling is very effective in drowning out ambient sound when needed. JLAB states a threshold of up to 30 dB but I have been comfortable with about 40 dB in my experience. Should there be a need to be more conscious of your surroundings, the Be Aware mode amplifies the ambient sounds for the user. Battery appears to last long but I have yet to confirm JLAB’s 60 hours runtime with noise-cancelling enabled.
In summary, JLAB’s Epic Work ANC Wireless On-Ear Headset is an outstanding performer with a premium feel and packed with impressive noise-cancelling features among others. It appears well-built and should last a while. JLAB’s generous two-year warranty should help resolve any premature issues along the way. While the headset checks are the required boxes on my list for my daily needs, I thought I would share my wish list for the next iteration. As we continue to occasionally work from home, a carrying case would go a long way to move between locations. As previously stated, the ability for the physical alignment of the boom (i.e. vertical/horizontal) which corresponds to mute and unmute to be appropriately reflected with applications would be very welcome.

I‘ve had a fair amount of JLAB headphones over the years and they all have done me pretty good for the price. These are still good on-ear active noise canceling headphones, they just disappointed me in the connection process.
You can connect to these in 4 different ways, which is really just 3 depending on where you put the dongle, but the thing is, it is one method or the other. So, if you hook the dock to a PC, by default it will use the 2.4 Ghz dongle that is in the front of it. That is the only mode it will now work in. However, instead of leaving the USB-C dongle in the dock, you can also place it directly into a USB-C port and that will be the only mode it will work in. Another method is to plug the USB-C cord directly from your device to the headset, which takes priority over the dongle. The other method, which is the lowest on the priority list is Bluetooth. However, you can connect to 2 different Bluetooth devices and it will switch between those 2 devices depending on which one is active. There is no way to swap between the dongle and Bluetooth unless the dongle is disconnected. If you are using a PC to charge, you can pull the dongle out and put it in the storage space on the side of the docking stand. So, it’s not like you are listening to your PC and just swap over to a phone call via Bluetooth.
Now, I feel that is the only thing you need to understand about the headset before going in, as everything else works as expected. It is pretty simplified with the power button having some different functions based on taps and holds, volume button with double tap having track skip/back and the JLAB button on the side to cycle through ANC On/Off and “Be Aware” modes. The headset is light, discreet and feels like it is meant for work. Not looking like you are trying to close out the world and easy to notice you are using them. The little microphone is flip to mute, but picks up audio clearly for conversations.
As mentioned in the title, the docking station is the charger and the way you rest the headphones on it is the strangest method I have ever seen. However, it keeps them balanced and holding with a bit of magnetism. The battery life on these things are insane though, so you might only need to charge them every 3 days or so, or course pending use and ANC. If connected to your phone, you can use the JLAB app to customize your audio settings and get updates.
Overall, these are good noise cancelling headphones that are best if connected to Bluetooth on both your PC and phone. Otherwise, you have to pick and choose and unplug the dongle if you want to use Bluetooth in the specific setting.

This is my first ANC headset from JLab that’s geared towards work and productivity. It comes with a wireless contact charging base and 5ft nylon braided USB-C to USB-C charging cable. Plugging in the base allows you to simply set the headset in it to charge. It’s an interesting design since the headphones sit upright, as they are not foldable. Removing the headset from the base will automatically power them on and conversely, they power off when docked. Any time the headset is powered on it will announce its remaining battery life.
You can connect the headset to a device wirelessly with Bluetooth or the USB-C receiver dongle. You can even connect it with up to 2 devices over Bluetooth multipoint. If using the dongle, one option is to plug it directly into a PC/Mac; this will override any Bluetooth connection. The charging base also has a pass-through USB-C port at the front that, when connected to a computer, you can use with the dongle or another USB-C peripheral, effectively acting as a USB hub.
When not using the dongle for pairing, there’s a dummy slot on the right-hand side of the charging base for storage, so you can use Bluetooth instead without interference. Alternatively, there’s a USB-C port on the headset’s right earcup for direct charging of the headset (without the base) or for wired connections, which is useful if the battery on the headset is drained.
The top of the headband and earcups are lined with soft synthetic leather while the underside is mesh fabric. The foam padding for your ears and head is around ½” thick and pretty comfortable for extended wear and was a secure but not an overly tight fit for me. The core of the band is thick, durable, and flexible metal, and each earcup can be swiveled and extended 1.5” smoothly without set increments.
The logo button on the outside of the right earcup toggles the mode between active noise cancelling (ANC) on, ANC off, and Be Aware. With noise cancelling off, you’ll get the most battery life but will be able to hear some background noise due to the limited passive isolation of the on-ear pads. Be Aware mode passes through external audio picked up by the mic, allowing you to better hear your surroundings without taking off the headset, which worked great when having in-person conversations. With ANC on, background noise was significantly reduced (up to 30 dB), though not eliminated, but it helped me focus on the audio in the headphones. Just note that ANC can sometimes create the feeling of “pressure” in your ears.
The audio from the 40mm dynamic drivers has surprisingly full bass with deep rumble but was noticeably thin in the treble ranges with shushy cymbals and a touch too much sibilance set on a narrow soundstage. That said, if you were to use the headset for listening to music or consuming media, it’s decent with clear and bright sounding audio. The physical playback controls towards the back side of the right ear cup consist of volume keys that also skip tracks with long presses and a multi-function key for play/pause, answer/end calls, power, and voice AI assistant activation.
The omni-directional 5-array microphone captures single channel 16-bit 16000 Hz, which is good enough for live streaming, virtual meetings, and in-game chat, but not ideal for podcasts or content creation as the output can sound a little boxy and over-processed. It is, however, clear without noticeable background noise thanks to built-in adaptive environmental noise cancelling (ENC). Call quality with the headset is also good though one caller noted that the mic volume could be louder. I like that flipping the microphone boom arm upright automatically mutes the mic, so you can have privacy on the fly. It also snaps in place horizontally when lowered.
The battery life of the headset is exceptional with up to 90 hours of listening time without ANC enabled or 60 hours with, around 30 hours of talk time, and over 300 hours of standby time on a full charge. It also charges quickly and just 10 minutes of charging can provide up to 10 hours of use.
This headset also works with Jlab’s smart phone app. In the app you can push firmware updates, view the headset’s remaining battery life, change modes, reassign button controls, and alter the equalizer settings for custom sound sculpting. You can also adjust the limit for safe hearing protection and toggle ‘hear yourself’ mode (sidetone) which lets you listen to your own voice without any latency while on calls.
Overall, the Jlab Epic Work ANC Wireless headset is great for both work and gaming. The audio and mic quality are clear and professional, and the battery life and comfort are suited for all-day wireless use. ANC performance is decent with multiple options for connecting to your devices. It can also be used for consuming media and has a 2-year warranty but doesn’t come with a case for storage or travelling.

This is the Jlab Epic Work ANC Headset, a comfortable, everyday-use headset with great sound and features. While many of us are returning to the office, our work method has stayed the same for the last 4 years. We still use teams and Zoom to get work done, but now we’re in the office with other people around the corner in their cubes. A headset is a must in this environment.
I’ve been using the JLab Go Work in the office for this situation, and it works fine for a cheaper device and has served me well for the past 2+ years. The dual microphone setup on the JLab Go Work keeps coworkers isolated from my meeting conversations. So, I had high expectations for this new JLab Epic Work ANC wireless headset.
I wanted to love this headset. On one hand, it is very well made, and when it works, it has excellent audio that rivals many expensive headsets like the Polycom Voyager 4300 series that I use at home. On the other hand, the hardware & sound quality is amazing, but the software implementation or bugs are a bit of a letdown.
Headset use is primarily with desktops and laptops. When I first received it, I charged the headset and tried pairing it via the USB-C dongle directly connected to the computer. My laptop (running Windows 11) would beep on inserting the USB-C dongle, and there would be no connection. The same situation occurred on the desktop. I then paired it via bluetooth on the PC, which worked for a fleeting moment before the constant repeating disconnection and reconnection.
Looking for a firmware update, I managed to pair the headset to my Android cellphone. I had noted that when I turned on the device initially, my phone was trying to “quick pair” (prompt to pair the JLab headset), but it wouldn't pair. I had to manually pair the device, upon which I downloaded the JLAB app and noted that the firmware update was available. The instructions for the JLab firmware update didn't work, and it took multiple tries before the headset was updated to 5.0.2 from 4.1.3. Once the firmware update was successful, the pairing issues got better, but it wasn't gone, and it still wouldn't pair to the phone properly. Testing included multiple devices, including apple iPads, iPhones, and my office laptop.
I found this headset with a PC (desktop or laptop); if one uses the base station and the dongle is attached via USB-C to the base, the audio works perfectly fine on a computer. In fact, it works as it should. It makes no sense that it works with the dongle plugged into the base station with the USB-C cable but not plugged into the computer directly. When using the dongle on a PC, the audio quality is AMAZING! I did not want to stop listening to music or remove the headset. The headset's comfort is far superior to the JLab Go Work and rivals other units I use. My meeting audio was clear, and the sound isolation on the microphone and headset was very, very good. I was impressed!
The bluetooth audio (if you can get it to pair on a phone and PC) is so-so. It's a stark contrast to the audio provided through the dongle. I would use the base station with the dongle any day as that audio is fantastic.
There are some bugs, and JLab needs to fix them, especially with the pairing process on the dongle with the PC, and the bluetooth pairing. I could not get that dongle to work on multiple Windows PCs by plugging it in directly, and Bluetooth pairing is a bit finicky at best- where it pairs, identifies the power level, and then unpairs itself.
The only way I would recommend using this headset in its current state is with the base station and dongle. It's a fantastic headset, and that's the only way I will use it going forward.

I don't know why Jlab loves to give us these headphones that just feel like they are built for tiny heads. The Epic Work ANC headphones are no exception either. Fortunately, I've got a small enough cranium that I feel comfortable enough to wear these for a while. I do hve to take them off after about 30 minutes of use. So wizely enough, I tend to just take them off after each call and place them on there charging cradle. Okay. Let's talk about that. I really like the cradle, but..
Let me just start off by tell you what's inside the box. The Epic Work ANC wireless headset is a dual speaker PC headset. With a nice braided cable to connect t the charging cradle( Try and keep up) that houses the dongle in a secrret compartment on the side. But that will be it. So once you unbox them, you'll be keeping these in the office, because there's really no safe way to transport them when they aren't on your skull. Placing them on that cool cradle is done by laying them on their side( where the connection prongs are). Charging is easy enough, but my other problem is the fact that they don't collapse. This means the headphones have to sit in a awkward leaning possition while charging. I am fond of the flip up mute system on the boomm mic. Sound quality is pretty much what I have come to expect from JLab. Not amazing, but they get the job done. There were a couple times where I felt like I needed to hod my hand over the cup to get better sound, but that may have been from the person on the other end. Just as the box says, you've got multiple ways to connect and use them, but none of that matters if the end result is lackluster. Fortunately, these are better than usual JLap experiences. So I find these very useful in my office.

As a hybrid worker, I work from the office 3 days a week and from my home office 2 days a week. Both of these workspaces offered unique opportunities for me to test out the device. I should first preface that this is my experience with an over the ear headset that covers both ears. My previous headset covered only one ear, but also had noise canceling capabilities and extended talk time, so I was curious to see how this device performed.
I'm really impressed with the Epic Work ANC Headset for a couple of reasons. First, and maybe most important, the audio quality is really good. I use the device exclusively in Bluetooth mode, pairing it with my laptop and my cell phone. With multipoint capability, it can seamlessly switch between the two devices. I had no issues conducting numerous Teams and Zoom calls with this headset and the audio quality was great. Feedback from those listening on the other end was positive as well, as when I told them I was using a new headset, everyone commented that the microphone was working well.
The Headset comes with a cradle that you can use to dock and charge the unit, or you can plug the headset into a PC or USB C powered charging block to charge the device. For charging the device, I plugged the headset directly into the PC to recharge the device. I leave the cradle at home, since I don't have a designated desk when in the office, and I don't want to carry it around when it's not needed.
Battery life is listed as 90 hours when not using Active Noise Canceling (ANC) functionality, and about 60 hours when using ANC. I tested using ANC and using Be Aware mode, which allows you to hear yourself a bit when speaking, so as to help you keep from raising your speaking level and keep a more normal tone. It basically helps to compensate for you wearing over the ear headphones. Another feature is that if you charge the device for about 10 minutes, it can give you about 10 hours of battery life, which is great if you find that battery is low and you have multiple meetings throughout the day.
As I mentioned earlier, the microphone quality is good, and after using it for a week, I experienced no issues with sound quality from the mic. One feature that is nice, is that if you raise the microphone arm up to your ear, it will automatically mute the mic. That's a great feature, but it would have been nice if you could hear a microphone muted message when you do, similar to the audio prompt that happens when you engage ANC or turn it off.
In terms of controls on the unit, there is limited functionality. A power button to turn on/off the device, a +/- to raise / lower volume and the button on the ear to engage ANC, Be Aware, or Turn Off the special features. The same buttons will also allow you to change audio tracks, Play/Pause, Answer/Hangup phone calls, depending on the mode you are in. You can also engage OK Google / SIRI with two quick button presses on the power button.
The JLab app was easy to install and immediately prompted me to do a firmware update. It took maybe 3 minutes to update, but I experience no issues before or after the update.
Overall, I think this unit is great. It has a quality feel to it, long talk time, and quality audio, making it a great headset to use in an open office environment or in a home office. I really like this compared to my previous headset, as it helps me to focus and remove the noise of an open office environment quite well.

This JLAB headset came very well packaged. They are sturdy, very well built and easy to set up. The headset has a power button, volume control, as well as an Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) button. Upon turning on the headset, you get a voice notification to set up Bluetooth. It also has the option to be connected to a PC by using the included USB-C dongle. I connected it to my phone by going into the Bluetooth settings. You also have the option to use it with the JLAB app which I definitely recommend. The app will give you access to adjust several settings of the headset. The app also has the ability to update the device firmware and send you notifications. After downloading the app, I was immediately notified of a firmware update, which I promptly installed.
After several phone calls I received great feedback. Everyone who I spoke to said they could not tell that I was talking from a headset. To test further, I had a friend call me using the headset, and I was equally impressed. The microphone quality was so clear it sounded like a regular phone microphone rather than a headset.
The ANC feature is great but does not completely block out all noise. Using the JLAB app, I was able to customize the ANC levels for an improved experience, though still not quite what I expected. The headphones also have a “Be Aware” feature that lets you hear noise around you. This is useful when talking to others without having to remove your headphones. The app also includes a “Hear Yourself” feature, which is great because you can see how loud you are speaking. This is useful since the headphones are ANC, which blocks out noise to include your own. The app has the option to change the equalizer from music to voice to your own customs settings.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this headset. It’s an excellent tool for working from home, particularly for meetings, it will enhance productivity. They have a great build, it has an excellent microphone and they are comfortable to wear for a long period of time. With the optional use of the app you’ll get plenty of customization to take full advantage of these headsets. In the box you get the headset, USB-C dongle, charging dock, USB-C cable and quick guide.

These work headsets are really good, not great but really good. But what makes this Jlab headset better than most is the price. At this price point, I don't think you will find a better all around headsets that does everything above average. What makes me really like these is the consideration when making them. The docking station is awesome, then there is a place to put the usb dongle in the docking station when not in use. Be aware though, although these headsets has multi-point capabilities, it will not connect to 2 device at once if using the dongle to connect to a computer. Jlab recommends using the dongle for best connection when using with a computer. The headset itself seems like it is high quality and very sturdy. The headband cushion is soft and comfortable for long duration of use but it was a little tight on my normal size head. Well, I think it's normal LOL. I think this will loosen over time, out the box, adjusting the size was difficult so I assume that's because it is new. The ear cushions were comfortable but flat so not over the ear. For my ears, this meant having to adjust it to cover correctly from time to time. Mic boom flipped up and down easily and didn't protrude out so long, which I liked. Noise cancellation and surround hearing button is the logo button on the side. I really liked this, very easy and natural to press. The answer call button is the small power button which wasn't great but I got use to. But, all of these can be changed in the app. Noise cancellation is ok but what surprised me is how great the noise cancellation on the mic was. People on the other side couldn't hear anything in the background and that's why you want this headset. A bonus is the headset sounded great when listening to music. The bass was a lot better than I expected and the highs was good. Jlab did an excellent job with the Epic Work, no problem recommending this to anyone.

I recently acquired the JLab Epic Work ANC Wireless On-Ear Headset in Graphite, and it has quickly become my go-to for both work and leisure. Here are some highlights, hopefully I didn’t miss anything:
Pros:
• Sound Quality: The audio is crisp and clear, with deep bass and well-defined highs. Whether I'm on a call or listening to music, the sound quality is exceptional.
• Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): The ANC feature effectively blocks out background noise, allowing me to focus on my tasks without distractions. It's perfect for noisy environments like cafes or offices.
• Be Aware Feature: This feature lets in outside sound when needed, which is great for staying aware of your surroundings while still enjoying your audio.
• Multipoint Connection: The ability to connect to multiple devices simultaneously is a game-changer. I can effortlessly switch between my phone and laptop without the hassle of disconnecting and reconnecting.
• Magnetic Charging: This feature is incredibly convenient. The magnetic charger snaps into place easily, ensuring a secure connection and faster charging times.
• Simple Connection: Pairing the headset with my devices was a breeze. The setup process was straightforward and user-friendly.
• Intuitive Controls: The controls are easy to use and thoughtfully placed. I can adjust the volume, skip tracks, and answer calls without fumbling around.
• Comfortable: The headset is comfortable to wear for extended periods. The on-ear design is cushioned and lightweight, making it perfect for long work sessions or extended travel.
Cons: None that I have found as of this review.
Overall, the JLab Epic Work ANC Wireless On-Ear Headset offers excellent value for the price, with features that make it an essential part of my daily routine. Highly recommended!

Audio is excellent, comfortable even with glasses on, the earpieces can rotate to adjust for comfort, the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), is easily accessible on the mic itself. The ANC works very well. It muffles a good portion of the outside noise. Great for working from home with a lot of background noise. The design is good, but unfortunately, the mic only goes on the Right side and can’t be reversed.
The box contains: Headset, Docking system (with USB Dongle plugged in), USB-C Dongle (for docking) to plug directly into the device the headphones are being used for, and USB-C cable for charging or using as a wired headphone set, and Quick User Guide.
The ANC on the mic, as stated, works very well, and allows you to hear conversations better. The mic is also very easy to put on mute so that you aren’t heard during conversations. You simply lift the mic boom and you are muted.
The jLab EpicWork ANC Headphones have a lot of convenient features:
- Multiple connection options (cell phone, laptop, tablet, etc.)
- 2 in 1 Docking System serves as both a charging hub and a USB hub.
1. Dock (with USB-C dongle plugged in)
2. USB-C dongle plugged directly into device
3. USB-C cable plugged directly into your connections.
- Bluetooth multipoint connects 2 devices simultaneously when direct connection is not in use
- Quick mute rotation Mic, flip to mute rotating boom mic. Ensures clear communication during calls.
- Use Google Fast Pair to find headphones. Pairs effortlessly to Android device with Google Pair (Pairs well without Google Pair too). Pairs with iPhone easily as well and can use Google Find My Device if jLab EpicWork Headphones get misplaced.
- Long battery life. I still have almost a full battery after using them for 3 days 5 hours each day.
- Crystal clear calls – little to no interference, static or dropped calls. I can even walk around the apartment and still not lose the connection.
- JLAB APP – available from iPhone App or Google Play (Android). Just pair the jLab EpicWork Headphones for access to all functions, plus extra functions not on the headset. This include relaxing ambient sounds.
I personally like the jLab EpicWork Headphones for the fact that there are only 3 major buttons: Power, Volume + or -, and ANC button on the mic boom.
I can also just listen to Audio books, Music, and podcasts by just flipping up the boom mic to mute and pressing and holding the volume + and – buttons at the same time.
The jLab APP explains how to change to the various available functions as well as adjust the sound balance.
I find the jLab EpicWork Headset is easy to use, and the APP is easy to follow and fun to use.
I recommend the jLab EpicWork Headset for ease of use and comfort. I just wish the Mic boom were reversable (can be used on either right or left side). This is why I’m only giving it 4 stars otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

- This headset works really well and has a good quality feel and construction.
- The dock that comes with this at this price point is a nice extra and it has a hefty weight so you can easily place and pull your headset off without any issues.
- Being able to rotate the boom mic upwards to mute it and downwards to unmute it is a great feature in knowing if you are muted or not.
I did not find any issues with the headset in regards to the functionality.
As for the fit though, it didn't feel nice on my big head; it was uncomfortable. It was just a tiny bit smaller for me so the fit wasn't working and along with the clamping of the headset, it was a no go.
If you have a small/normal sized head, I'm sure this will fit you just fine. The slight clamping is nice because the headset will stay on your head, but if you got a big head, it just makes it uncomfortable.
I went with a plantronic which was a better fit for me; otherwise I would have kept this JLab Epic Work headset if it had fit my head.

Works great when connected to desktop usb with dongle for long zoom calls. Also works great with bluetooth on my cell phone. I work from home with barking dogs so the noise cancelling mic is priceless. Coworkers say they hear me perfectly. Sound quality is impressive even for music with nice bass.

Great headset. Just hurts my ears. The primary use of this headset was for work. The functionality is awesome, and call audio is clear for meetings or talking with clients. All mic features are nice. Flip the mic up to mute, wireless charging, and being able to switch between noise cancelling. I sometimes also play music or background ambient noise if not on a call. Its an awesome mic all around. My ears are just weird or different. The padding is soft and cushioning. I also tried streching out the headset so its not too tight. I had to switch it out for an over-the-ear headset instead. I wish I could have kept this one.
Pros:
Great Sound Quality.
Connection is stable.
Headset features.
Cons:
Hurts my ears.

Thought about just using regular AirPods to conduct meetings was told that this would be better. And it did not disappoint. My wife makes some noise while I’m in meetings. The noise canceling works perfectly.
