Very happy with my open box C4 purchase which came with 40 hours of use but perfect picture quality, no burn in, and the amazing viewing experience of the LG C series OLED TVs which gamers swear by for their OLED gaming monitor of choice.

The 42" LG C4 (Non "MLA" panel) I purchased is used primarily for Windows 11 gaming, with some console gaming occasionally . The C4 is very light at just over 22 pounds, and is a great size..I sit about 2.5 feet away and there has been no problems. Setup was easy, and I put it on a desktop mount with an VESA adapter(Sold Separately) as the TV is 300 x 200mm VESA. Coming from a 1440p LED Ultrawide 144hz. with very high brightness, and grayish blacks.. the LG C4 took about a week to get use to. But after that 1st week I am in love with this TV, yes it's NOT perfect (you DO sacrifice overall brightness) but that is not a deal breaker. Using the LED Ultrawide(High Brightness) for years took a toll on my eyes, they were constantly hurting and red. With the C4 that has gone away even after gaming for 5+ hours. 144hz gaming on Windows 11 is really nice with the C4, make sure you turn it on as it is not automatic out of the box. Also in the "Game Optimizer" menu turn on G-Sync, FreeSync, 144hz, and ALLM on as the C4 will choose the best supported tech when gaming. Most people pick QD-OLED's or WOLED w/MLA, and that may have been my pick, but they do NOT make them in 42" or 48" sizes in 2024...but the 42" C4 is still a top pick OLED!! The C4 has color, has brightness, has clarity, has features and Dolby Vision. Lastly, my final thoughts...I am not worried about burn in as I find ways to turn it off when not using, and use the "cleaning" functions after gaming sessions. ABL(Auto Brightness Limiter) on OLED's is a fact of life and it worried me in the beginning, but it is not bothering me at all. The ABL on the C4 dims when appropriate to save my eyes is the way I look at it. If you want an OLED that's not 1440p or just 32" the LG C4 is an excellent pick, and the only thing that I am not happy with is the MSRP, but I can't change that.

For my first OLED tv, this c4 does everything i need it to do, most importantly for gaming. the C4 delivers a true 144HZ giving great FPS paired up with my 4080 gpu. when im not on the game, watching sports, shows, movies, this c4 delivers nothing but true colors and deep blacks. i highly would recommend the LG C4 for heavy gaming, and a true cinimatic experience.

Absolutely Incredible as a Monitor and TV

I’ve been using the LG C4 42-inch OLED TV as my primary computer monitor for a few weeks now, and all I can say is: wow. This thing is an absolute beast in every way — it has completely transformed my workspace and my gaming setup.
First off, the picture quality is jaw-dropping. The OLED panel delivers true blacks, stunning contrast, and vibrant, lifelike colors that make everything pop. Whether I’m editing photos, watching 4K content, or just browsing the web, the clarity and richness of the display are on another level.
But where the C4 really shines is gaming. With 4K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDMI 2.1 support, it’s an absolute dream. Paired with my gaming PC and next-gen console, the gameplay is buttery smooth, incredibly responsive, and visually breathtaking. G-SYNC and FreeSync compatibility also help eliminate screen tearing, making everything feel super fluid.
The Game Optimizer mode is a nice touch, giving me quick access to important settings without digging through menus. I also love the 0.1ms response time — it makes fast-paced FPS and racing games feel tight and snappy.
The 42-inch size is perfect for a desk setup. It offers all the immersion of a large screen without overwhelming the space, and the pixel density at 4K is excellent even at a close viewing distance.
Overall, I couldn’t be happier. If you’re looking for a high-end monitor that can do it all — productivity, media, and especially gaming — the LG C4 is hands-down one of the best choices out there.

I play more games on console than my PC. I previously used a ASUS IPS 1440p 165hz monitor for my PlayStation 5 & Series X. It is because of this reason than I choosed an OLED tv or an OLED monitor. I knew I wanted a 42" OLED TV and the 3 options I have was the LG C4, Samsung S90D, & Sony A90K. I do want an QD OLED, but I would have to go with a 55" Samsung for this and I really didn't want a 55" TV. I knew the Samsung S90D & LG C4 both 42" uses WOLED panel, but I heard the S90D was brighter. Both TVs was $999 at the time while the Sony A90k was $1199, but when I saw the LG C4 42" was on sale for $799. It was a no brainer for me to pull the trigger. The TV sit on my desk which is 30" deep and I sit about 3.5 feet away. The 42" was perfect for me. At that distance the game is very immersive. I thought the speaker on the TV was good. I'm no audio expert. I typically where headphones anyway. Behind the TV is my window and I was concern about the glossiness finished and how dim the game is when its on gamemode. That is not an issue for me anymore. The TV is plenty bright on gamemode and having the window open for me. I'm super happy that I was able to get this for only $800.

I recently purchased the LG C4 OLED TV, and I have to say, it has completely exceeded my expectations. The picture quality is nothing short of stunning, with the deep blacks, vibrant colors, and incredible contrast that OLED technology is known for. Watching content on this TV feels like you're stepping into a whole new world – the clarity and detail are mesmerizing, and the picture is always perfectly crisp, even in dark scenes.
The design of the LG C4 is sleek and modern, fitting seamlessly into my living room. The thin profile makes it look incredibly stylish, and the stand is sturdy yet elegant. It's clear that a lot of thought went into the build quality, making it a beautiful addition to any space.
One of my favorite features is the vibrant color accuracy. Whether I’m watching movies, gaming, or just browsing through regular TV shows, the colors pop in a natural, lifelike way. The brightness level is excellent too, ensuring that you get a great viewing experience even in well-lit rooms.
Speaking of gaming, the LG C4 OLED TV shines here as well. The 120Hz refresh rate and support for HDMI 2.1 make it perfect for next-gen gaming consoles, offering ultra-smooth gameplay and reduced input lag. Whether you’re playing fast-paced shooters or open-world games, the TV delivers a fluid and immersive experience that really enhances the overall gaming experience.
Additionally, the smart features and user interface are intuitive and easy to navigate. The WebOS system is fast and responsive, and I’ve had no issues accessing my favorite apps like Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+. The voice control functionality is also an added bonus for hands-free operation.
Overall, the LG C4 OLED TV is a top-of-the-line product that delivers exceptional picture quality, great design, and cutting-edge features. If you're looking for a TV that offers a truly immersive viewing experience, I highly recommend this model. It’s definitely worth the investment!

42-inch C4 Is Exceptional for Gaming

Excellent features, decent brightness in all conditions, good image processing, and Dolby Vision, 144hz for PC gaming are all points that made this my first choice to replace a 1440p 27" IPS monitor. My only reservation is the green tint... for that, I am returning one C4 and ordering another. Hopefully this is just a random manufacturing issue as some users have said.

I am torn between this TV and a Samsung. The picture quality and colors on this TV are great. I do not like the remote and the icon when going from cable to streaming. It’s small and not as fluid as a Samsung.

This TV packs a juicy bunch of colors! Blacks are black, red are red. If you like bright, it can get very bright, and I barely, if any at all see any white spillover. If you want to customize it there are loads of settings available. I now see for myself just how great this TV is.

I have owned many LG OLED’s. And this one is the best one yet hands down. Picture is amzing. And Best Buy made it easy for me to just grab it and go. In and out in 5 minutes. With no mark up on the price like a lot of websites do.

The best computer monitor I ever had! I'd say the best TV I ever had, but I already have three more LG OLEDs for TV viewing. I added a Roku stick to this to watch tv and stream shows from my computer desk. 4 HDMI 2.1 for HDR and DV from my RTX 4070. Audio from Sonos Beam! What a setup.

The picture and sound quality are great. It would get 5 starts except I'm disappointed with the selection of apps available. Many that I used on my old tv (via Roku) are not available through this tv, so I still have to hook up my Roku in order to access certain streaming apps.
