Definitely a great TV so far. The picture and sound quality are an incredible improvement from my old tv and it definitely enhances the cinematic experience. It has lived up to my expectations from hours of research before purchase. I know I have yet to unlock the full potential of this tv and am excited to explore the webOS capabilities. I would recommend this tv for Xbox X/S gamers looking to enhance Dolby Vision and Atmos, as well as multiple port options for HDMI 2.1. The HDR from the OLED is definitely worth the extra cost and I am happy to have chosen the B4 model over the B3 in the end.

I like this TV. I wanted the LG C4, but settled on this as it went on sale. I have this in 55" and set it up in my living room as a secondary TV as my primary is set up with a Samsung S90D. I must say this B4 is a little less bright that I expected. But if the room is illuminated well, it doesn't bother me so much. Also, it is very fragile. Like the screen cracked when I took it out of the box when it was home delivered. I had to go return it and get a new one instead which I got opened and inspected in store before driving it home. That apart, I wall mounted it and was pretty straightforward. It is extremely thin and pretty light weight all things considered. Connectivity has been excellent. A lot of unwanted apps and menu items - but nothing unlivable. This may be personal preference, but the menu and settings on this TV and maybe all LGs in general is so unintuitive. And lastly I would majorly ding the remote - the motion remote..it has so many buttons and arranged in an unintuitive way as well. It's just a mess. They should have a simpler remote and get rid of that motion gimmick. Or at least offer a choice of remotes. Well all that said, it has been a good value and reliable experience so far. So I have nothing much to complain and nothing to rave about either. I would say it's a good TV if you're on a budget. Nothing majorly wrong with it and you'll save money as well.

I never knew what OLED was, or that we needed it. However, due to the layout of my living room this TV allows people to see clearly from every seat. This has also created clearer images for my husbands video games. My kids say it makes colors look better. If you do not know what is so special about an OLED TV, go to best buy and ask them to show you how OLED pixels work. The only downside is that the speakers are in the back of the TV, which is most TV's anymore, so we also bought an LG soundbar and surround-sound.

So far I am pleased with my new LG 55” OLED TV professionally and efficiently installed 1/30/25 by Best Buy Geek Squad. Already had a mount and techs did a great job mounting it with no issues. It fit perfectly in my alcove space above my fireplace. Purchasing it at a $400 discounted sale price makes it even better. The LG Magic Remote Control is not as user friendly as the Samsung remote but learning as using. The picture response when using menu functions and when turned on is slower but will get used to it. Was forced to make this purchase after my Samsung 50” QLED died on me only after 3 years from install. I still have a LG and a Westinghouse TV both LED’s over 15 years old operating fine. I will never buy another Samsung TV.

Strange Optical Digital Audio Out port

I didn't give the B4 an "excellent" rating because of the stupid Optical Digital Audio Out (Toslink) jack on the back of the TV. I unboxed the TV and began setting it up by connecting the optical cord, but it wouldn't stay in! On this TV, the optical jack is just a square black hole! There is no dust cover like there is on other TVs and it there's nothing in the square hole for the optical cord to plug into. So, I boxed it up and had Best Buy pick it up and bring me another B4. It was the same! Anyway, to make this long story a bit shorter, I eventually tried the "optical jack" and it worked, to my surprise. I taped the cord to the "jack" to keep it from falling out, which I think is ridiculous to have to do. They are supposed to click into the jack, but there's nothing in this jack to click into! When the manager at Best Buy called LG, the guy laughed because they've had many calls about this! Yes, I know now that I should have actually checked to see if the "jack" actually worked on my first B4, but...

Excellent OLED TV for the price. My 4k discs finally look as good as I wanted them to. It’s also bright enough to watch during the daytime in our living room with lots of natural light. Can’t recommend enough if you get it on sale.

Great 55 inch OLED for the money. I really like the interface and the remote. I feel that LG is far superior to Samsung and Sony in these regards. The interface is quite fast. And the options for modes and screen adjustments are vast. Also the audio is amazing and you can do Bluetooth out to any other speakers including all brands of headphones and speakers. It’s also a VERY thin profile which frees up space.

The tv is great but I stupidly didn’t realize measurements for tvs are diagonal and not straight across so it’s quite a bit smaller than we expected. We initially wanted another tv but were convinced by an employee who was very insistent that we should get this one. It’s good but definitely over priced. I hope it lasts a long time! The AI is a cool feature.

Bought this TV about half a month ago. I already have a line that goes across the center of the screen all the way across. The remote is very sensitive and doesn’t point straight when using the motion function. Ball in the center can be frustrating and will turn the motion function on if you barely touched it and you have to manually click it back off. Screen quality looked good and the speakers are very loud.

This is my first Oled TV and I have no regrets. Gaming on this TV with the PS5 Pro has been a mind-blowing experience with stunning visuals. Watching Movies from 4K HDR Blu-rays has the mind home theater experience perfect with the Filmmaker's picture mode.

I decided to upgrade my LG B9 and saw that the B4 was currently on sale. First, the most recent sales price points ($800-1000) have been great prices for this TV. Coming from a B9 which is about five years old at this point the B4 is noticeably brighter. The B4 also seems to handle lower resolution video, such as broadcast HDTV, better. There is noticeably less blockiness to the image which was more pronounced on the B9. Overall, the image on the B4 appears clear and sharp. Color banding seems a bit better on the B4 compared to the B9 as well. The speakers are ok. They have an AI sound optimizer that's supposed to adjust the sound better to your viewing space but it seemed to just make it louder and bass heavy. Oddly enough, to me the B9 had a better AI sound optimizer. The B4 switches video modes noticeably quicker than the B9. Switching from standard dynamic range to high dynamic range video is way quicker. The menu system on the B4 is ok but a bit more convoluted than the B9. There's a separate menu for game settings and there's even another separate menu to adjust boot up and power off options. The build of the TV is pretty good. It has a plastic back and feet but they're sturdy enough. The B9 had a stand which wobbled a bit much for my liking. The feet are also a bit higher so you can fit a slim soundbar or a streaming box under the set. Comparing the B4 and C4 they are very similar. The C4 supports 144hz refresh rate for pc gaming and DTS audio. With the sale prices on the B4 I don't think it's worth spending more on the C4. I'm not a fan of the Wii-mote style remote control so I use a universal remote but it works well enough. If you use the directional buttons the gyro controls turn off so it isn't that big of a deal. Overall the B4 is an excellent OLED TV. At these sales prices recently it is also an amazing value.

This OLED TV is better than I expected. Picture is clean and Sharp. Colors are impressive, the preset settings are pretty accurate. The sound was another thing I found that was great. Great TV for gaming if you own a gaming console. The only thing I would of liked different would be a better remote for this TV. It takes time to get used to. Overall a great OLED TV, especially if you can get it on sale.

The Best Bang for your buck OLED on the market

When I purchased this TV, it was on sale for $799 so the review is coming from that perspective. This is a fantastic OLED. The picture quality is amazing. Everything just pops now in ways an LCD just can't duplicate. For video games, everything just looks better. I underestimated how much this improved the look of everything. I did try the built-in speakers for about 5 minutes and they were fine. In a smallish room there is plenty of volume. I would still recomend a soundbar. One thing I don't like is the ads on the homescreen. I have an Nvidia shield so I bypassed it but it is annoying to see that on my TV. All in all, I would recomend this TV for anyone wanting to enter the OLED space. If it's listed at the normal proce I would go to the C4 since it's a bit brighter but at $800 you can't do any better.
