A High-end Vacuuming Experience!

It's products like this that can take a mundane task, such as vacuuming, and make me actually look forward to it. This LG CordZero is most certainly the most premium stick vac with one of the strongest motors that I've ever used. For starters, the build quality is excellent. The stick vac itself is constructed from beautifully finished aluminum and premium grade plastics that feel like they will hold up well over time. The thoughtfully designed tower is constructed from plastic which helps keep it light if you need to move it around. Although LG recommends situating the base on hard floors for optimal stability, I tested situating the tower in both hard and carpeted surfaces. In both scenarios the tower was very sturdy. This is due to a large base that LG includes which adds a great amount of stability. I love the way LG designed the grip on this stick vac. The handle is extremely comfortable for long sessions and I love that I don't have to hold down a trigger button to keep the vacuum powered on as you do with some other well known brands.
The performance and convenience that the CordZero stick vac offers is in a league of it's own. The CordZero vac has an incredibly powerful motor that provided some of the best suction I've ever seen for a stick vac. LG backs this motor with a 10 year warranty too! Dust and small debris was effortlessly picked up on both my carpeted and tiled surfaces. For some debris, like yarn or string that was deeply imbedded in my carpet, it did take a few passes to suction them up but eventually got them all. For larger debris, like chunks of cereal, I did have to lift the vacuum up a bit in order to pick them up. A really useful feature with this stick vac is the built-in obstruction sensor that immediately alerts you to any debris that may have gotten clogged in the body of the vacuum. While this only happened to me once (while I was testing vacuuming large chunks of cereal), placing the vacuum on the tower and utilizing it's auto-empty function removed the debris. However, you may need to manually disconnect the vacuum product body in order to manually clear the debris. This CordZero stick vac has three power levels; Normal, Power, and Turbo. I always run this vac on the "Power" mode as it provides the best balance between great suction and good battery life. I live in a two story 1300 sq ft townhome that is primarily carpeted but also has some tile surfaces. Therefore, vacuuming my entire home is usually pretty time consuming. I was able to thoroughly vacuum the entire downstairs and upstairs of my home in 30 minutes using the "Power" setting. With one battery, the "Power" setting lasts me 35 minutes and the "Turbo" setting lasts me 9 minutes and 30 seconds. I love that LG provides two batteries as it allows me to do additional vacuuming after my upstairs and downstairs has been completed. The combination tool attachment was great for cleaning my sofa, my air purifier sleeves, and dust from some of my wall art. The crevice tool was perfect for cleaning along the crown molding or along crevices in the bathrooms. Although I don't have pets, I tested the pet attachment on pillows that had some human hair and it did great!
I did also try the LG Thin Q app but aside from seeing my cleaning history and some cleaning guide tips provided by LG, I personally didn't find much use for it. However, there is a smart diagnosis feature if you do ever experience any issues with your vac. A quick note: the app will ONLY work with the 2.4Ghz wireless band. Since my home wireless router advertises both 2.4Ghz AND 5Ghz in a single SSID, it would not initially allow me to connect the stick vac. I had to manually create a 2.4Ghz SSID on my wireless router in order to be able to connect to it. For those wondering, manufacturers typically impose this restriction as the 2.4Ghz band allows for much better distance than the 5Ghz band. To be honest though, I don't think you're missing much by not using the app anyway (but your mileage may vary).
In terms of maintenance and convenience, I could not be happier with the features of the CordZero. Even though the CordZero is a beast of a stick vac, the all-in-one tower is the star of the show. The auto-emptying experience has been flawless for me. The auto emptying-tower has two modes with a press of a single button: auto-empty and manual empty. As the name suggests, auto-empty will automatically empty the dust bin every time you dock your vac in the tower. I personally prefer the manual mode as I like to sometimes temporarily dock my vac in the tower as I move objects around in my living room while I vacuum. This requires you to simply press a button when you dock the vac to start the emptying cycle. Every empty cycle I've had on the tower has been fantastic. This is due to it's incredibly strong suction. It leaves the dust bin looking like new. Replacing the bag is super easy. You simply open one of the side tower doors and pull on the neon green hinge which exposes the dust bag slider. As you grab and pull out the dust bin slider tab, it closes the fill hole automatically in order to prevent dust from spreading in the air. There's also a convenient little window that you can peek through to see how full the bag is. LG also includes a couple of free replacement bags to get you started.
Another feature I really like about the tower is the thoughtful storage considerations. Both sides of the tower have panels that open up to reveal storage areas where all of your attachments neatly clip unto. LG even thought about a storage hook for the included brush (love when manufacturers pay attention to the small things!). The tower also includes an integrated charging dock for the spare battery which is tucked away neatly at the top of the tower. I found the Kompressor feature on the stick vac to be very practical during my use. Since you don't get an oversized dust bin, the Kompressor lever allowed me to compress the dust and debris as I vacuumed throughout my home (freeing up extra space in the dust bin in the process). Cleaning the pre-filter (LG includes a free replacement) and mesh filter was a simple process. Simply remove the exhaust filter cap on the body of the vacuum to expose the pre-filter and you can then wash it under running water. LG recommends that this should be done once a month. The cyclonic mesh filter can also be removed with the crevice tool (by turning it counter clockwise) and then you simply rinse it under running water and let it dry for 24 hours.
Are there any things that I wish LG could have done better? Although I do consider this to be one of the best premium stick vacs currently on the market (if not the best) there's a few minor things that I think LG could still improve upon. I do wish that this stick vac was outfitted with an oversized dustbin. Due to the extremely powerful motor, the stick vac captures a ton of dust and debris very quickly. And although the Kompressor lever helps with compacting the debris, I still found myself having to empty the dust bin after finishing my downstairs before moving onto my upstairs. Not a big deal but worth mentioning. I would have also liked to have seen the addition of either some type of LED or laser guided light that could help illuminate my surfaces when vacuuming in more more dimly lit areas. The only other minor con I can think of is that sometimes debris can get stuck behind the Kompressor ring which will prevent the lever from going all the way up again (this was somewhat self-inflicted as I allowed the dustbin to get too full). If this happens, you simply have to manually remove the cyclonic mesh filter by using the crevice tool (the notches on the crevice tool will line right up with the notches on the bottom of the cyclonic mesh filter) and then turn the crevice tool counter clockwise. The mesh filter will come right off allowing you to freely reach in or shake out the debris. This is very easy to do and only happened once during my use. I highly recommend preventing the dustbin to get filled to the brim with debris in order to prevent this from happening.
Overall, I'm very impressed with the performance of the CordZero and the amazing convenience factor that the tower offers. It's also gorgeous enough to look like a center piece in my living room. If you're looking for one of the best stick vacs currently on the market, the LG CordZero and it's all-in-one tower delivers a premium experience that is really difficult to beat.

There’re a lot of components when first unpacking, but don’t let it overwhelm you. It took about 20 minutes to differentiate where the pieces connect and read the manual. There’s a lot and I was a bit surprised since this is a vacuum. I do like how it comes with a base and slip pads under it to give a nice grip to the floor.
I admit, I wasn’t sure how powerful this was going to be when I first powered it on. It was very quiet compared to my other vacuums. The normal setting seemed to do really well on my vinyl flooring. I used my other vacuum earlier in the week and was surprised with the amount of debris this picked up. I know this is going to do a great job keeping my house clean. I did try the turbo cleaning feature, but noticed the battery drained very quickly.
It feels great in the hand and takes minimal effort to push on the vinyl floor. I was able to vacuum the stairs in my house with ease. Something I normally fear (of falling), doesn’t bother me anymore. Its ability to pivot and turn help significantly. I didn’t notice some resistance when I vacuumed the carpet areas upstairs. Not sure if it’s suppose to be like this, but time will tell. What I really like is that it can extend if you’re a taller person.
Love the sleek and modern look. I like how you can open up the side panels to store the attachments. It’s a nice touch and shows the designers tried to make this top notch.
Pros:
Lightweight
Powerful
Quick charge
Long battery
Clean modern look
Very quite
2 rechargeable batteries included
Can hold all the attachments hidden away
Wall anchor options
Cons:
Have to purchase replaceable waste bags
Can suction a little better under normal setting
Overall:
I highly recommend this LG cordless vacuum. It’s a tad on the pricey side, but how often do you purchase vacuums? It’s super quiet, so I’ve been able to use it while the kiddos are sleeping. This should last a few years!

LG Upgraded an Already-Great Product

LG has upgraded their CordZero vacuum line for 2023 with a better home base with built-in storage & emptying capabilities and also has the "Kompressor" feature which is great for those that don't like to empty the vacuum as often. The box includes the vacuum cleaner hand-held unit, extension wand, universal power nozzle, mini power nozzle, skinny crevice tool, combination tool, cleaning brush, storage tower/charger, two 2400mAh rechargeable lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries, 3 tower filters (1 is already installed from the factory), 1 washable pre-filter, safety hardware (if needed, to secure to a wall so it doesn't fall over), 4 rubber feet, plastic base, and owner's manual/paperwork. The vacuum comes with a 1-year general warranty but has a 10-year warranty on the motor.
Disclaimer: I already own a previous generation LG Cordzero A9 Ultimate cordless stick vacuum. This new Kompressor model is my 2nd LG cordless stick vacuum.
PROS:
-----------
* The warranty of 10 years on the motor shows LG stands behind their product. After 3.5 years of using my A9, the motor is still good, and I would find it hard to damage the other parts which are similar to this one which only get the 1-yr warranty. If you take care of this vacuum, it should last for many years.
* One great feature on this unit that is not on my LG A9 is the Kompressor feature. As shown in my photo, it's a simple lever that slides an arm down the main filter to compact the vacuumed contents in the unit so you can go longer without having to empty and keep a high suction rate. It is spring loaded so it moves back in place after the contents are compressed.
* This vacuum comes with 2 batteries unlike a few manufacturers that have the battery built-in to the unit itself. This is a great feature because if the battery is built-in, then it can't be used at all once the battery dies.
* No longer do you need a separate holder in plain sight for your main attachments. 3 of the smaller attachments can all be hidden inside the tower itself - 1 on the left, and 2 on the right. This is a great feature for giving a nice clean look
* It has a great ergonomic feel when using. The rubber backside of the handle feels solid and keeps the vacuum from slipping as easily.
* Unlike some other manufacturers, the power on this unit is done by the thumb, and it stays ON until turned OFF. There is no "trigger" to keep the unit on, which is a big plus. Controls to power up the unit to higher power is also in the same area and is easy to change with your thumb.
* Those thumb movements require simple operation with only 3 buttons. Power ON/OFF, standard mode, power/turbo mode combo (3 sec hold for turbo). When you select a mode, it stays in that mode until you change the mode or turn off the unit.
* The tower has a hidden/flippable hook on each side if you want to hang another power attachment like the wood/tile attachment. It gives a nice stealth look if it's not used (default position is closed from the factory).
* The main tube can be adjusted easily to different lengths. To store in the tower, it has to be set to the shortest length.
* User has the ability to NOT empty the unit every time it is mounted in the tower.
* The owner's manual gives a ton of cleaning tips and techniques for all the various parts you might have with your unit.
* The tower can charge both the unit battery and the storage battery; however, it only charges one battery at a time, starting with the vacuum battery.
* User can remove the extension rod and use as a hand-held. This is great for cleaning tight areas, car seats, etc.
* There are a slew of attachments that can be purchased for this vacuum. All of them click on/off easily using the LG link system.
* Connecting the unit to the LG app via WiFi was easy to do.
* The disposable bags in the tower can be easily replaced once full. If LG stops making these bags, I suppose some Chinese company will continue to make them. In any case, if you run out of bags, you can still empty the vacuum manually without using the tower emptying function.
* The cleaning brush is a nice addition to the package which can be used in various ways on all the parts. It is also stored inside the right tower door.
CONS:
-----------
* If vacuuming thicker carpet, you will need a use a bit more muscle as the rollers on the bottom of the unit are not big, thus making it feel like you're simply pushing/pulling the unit without rollers. Some big corded vacuums might even feel easier to push/pull on carpet.
* I feel that unit performs a bit better on "POWER" mode (medium) on carpet rather than on "NORMAL/STANDARD" mode. This immediately cuts my vacuum time in half at around 21 mins per battery.
* The tower compartment doors don't stay open if on a flat surface. They tend to close part of the way or almost all the way. Each side is a little different. It would be nice to have each tower door stop in place when fully opened. The doors do feel a bit flimsy give a false feel that they might open further than what they do since there's no definitive stopping point.
* The power cord has a Velcro wrap for cord management, but I'd like to have a cord storage area either under the unit or embedded the back side of the tower for better cord concealment. The plug itself could also use an upgrade to have the ability to come off the wall outlet either to the left or right (adjustable plug head?)
OBSERVED TIMES:
-------------------
THESE TIMES are using the carpet attachment with unit being used on regular shag (1 battery pack):
LOW "STANDARD" POWER - ~40 min (LG claims 40m)
MEDIUM "POWER" POWER - ~21 min (LG claims 20m)
HIGH "TURBO" POWER - 6 min 30 sec (LG claims 6m)
If you use a non-motorized attachment, these times increase to ~60m/30m/7m respectively.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS:
-----------
* Note this package comes with the carpet attachment. It will clean on wood/tile floors, however, it's made for carpet.
* This tower comes with mounting hardware, but it not required to use the unit. It's 1 loop mounted to a wall and the other loop mounted to the back of the tower with a thin rope connecting the two.
* The LG app is not very useful except for showing usage and maintenance items that may need to be done. The product will still work fine if you don't use the app; however, you may need to note when you need to clean and/or replace parts.
* Basic indicators above the handle include the battery meter, WiFi, filter cleaning alarm, and a clogged objects light.
* After using in power and turbo mode for an entire duration of battery life, the batteries did not get too hot to the touch nor did it feel like the unit was overheated. If there is a blockage in the tube though, it may start to overheat and/or simply power off so the blockage can be removed.
* I'm unsure why the plastic base and rubber feet both need to be installed by the user. It seems like the plastic base would be built into the tower base as part of the unit itself with the rubber feet installed at the factory.
* The "Auto-empty" feature is set to ON from the factory. I don't need the vacuum emptied every time I place the vacuum in the tower. You can turn off this feature using the SELECT MODE button on the tower top. This is also useful if the tower is somewhere that requires less noise (someone might be working, sleeping, etc.). You can manually empty the vacuum using the START/STOP function on the tower top.
* While charging, you can see which battery is being charged - either by the 3 LEDs on the vacuum or on the tower top, there is an indicator.
CONCLUSION:
=====================
Overall, I like the improvements made on this new Kompressor model over the other LG model I have that's 3.5 yrs old. Having a storage area for 3 tools and 2 hooks on the outside of the doors (if needed) is great for a clean look as a whole. The vacuum performs extremely well - as well or better than my previous LG model - and does provide longer vacuuming time due to the slightly higher capacity batteries. I would purchase again especially given the 10-yr motor warranty. Great job on the upgrades, LG!

This thing has a certain aesthetic, either it will fit in with your modern décor or be a great talking point next to the pantry. The LG Cord Zero Cordless Stick Vacuum with All-in-One Tower is an amazing idea, that almost lands a perfect score in my mind, but a few of the design decisions make it not so. Overall, it’s on par with other stick vacuums I’ve used but the tower is a great addition to the overall design.
Pro's
• Tower keeps everything organized and ready to go.
• Easy to use and maintain.
• Light weight.
• Removeable batteries.
Con's
• Vacuum power is low, even on turbo.
• Tower Bags are added expense.
• Lots of Tool heads, only use 2.
My favorite feature about the LG Cord Zero is the rechargeable batteries, and the fact you get two of them is fantastic. There is rarely a need to swap batteries, as the All-in-One Tower charges both batteries while not in use, so even when one runs out, the 2nd battery is fully charged and ready to go. No down time waiting to charge a battery or finding out the battery is dead when you need to clean up a mess. Additionally, if you setup the ThinQ app, it will notify you once the battery is fully charged or if the tower needs an action such as the tower bag is full. Pretty much no down time or guess work with this vacuum.
The Auto Empty feature is amazing, why don’t more stick vacuums have a feature like this? But the biggest downside of this feature is the non-reusable tower bag design, a convenient yet added expense to an already high-end product. If the tower had a bin or reusable bag, this would be an almost perfect design. As the alternative is just manually emptying the stick vacuums bin into the garbage, which is easy to do, this required cost to use a time saving feature takes a star away for me. Others may find this time savings worth it, but I prefer products that are designed to waste less over being convenient.
The Kompressor, which is just a lever on the side to help press down the debris that has been collected, is a genius addition to a stick vacuum. It keeps everything compacted together so you can fit more in one go and when emptying it manually, the compacted junk stays together for a quick empty. The filters on this catch most, if not all, of the dust and particles picked up by the vacuum. The stick vacuum itself has a 5-stage filtration system, with two of the filters being washable as well as the fine metal filter in the bin. If that’s not enough, the tower also has a 3-stage filter for when using the Auto Empty feature, that keeps the dust sealed away and not back in the room. The filtering on this vacuum is very well thought out.
This was the first stick vacuum I have owned; I’ve only lightly used other stick vacuum models before but never owned one. So, I was a bit underwhelmed by the performance of this type of vacuum. It is good for light messes such as dust, dirt, and pet hair. But it struggles with the bigger pieces of junk on the floor like pebbles or sticks. I won’t be throwing out my old, corded vacuum any time soon due to the LG Cord Zero, but I’ll be vacuuming a whole lot more often due to how easy it is now.
Overall, the LG Cord Zero with the All-In-One Tower is a great stick vacuum combo, with a lot of thought and effort put into the design to be as convenient and easy to use as possible. But I am still going to keep around my old vacuum due to the mediocre power of the stick vacuum and will keep an eye out for a reusable tower bag as I want to be more economic and environmental. Would recommend it if you need an easy to use, convenient, and light duty vacuum.

The LG CordZero A9 Compressor Cordless Stick Vacuum is an impressive looking product as you pull it out of the box. It doesn't look much like anything else out there in the market in the vacuuming space. Set up was pretty easy, out of the box, the main tower is all put together, you just need to assemble the vacuum cleaner and place the accessories into the tower. It even comes with a vacuum bag pre installed in the tower.
The LG CordZero comes with two batteries, they are bright yellow and don't aesthetically go that well with the vacuum, but they are also very small. That is a concern for battery life. LG claims up to 120 mins run time (60 mins per battery), but in my experience, I felt that I needed to press the 'TURBO' button to get suction that is comparable with my current cordless stick vacuum. To that end, I found that the battery drained quite a lot quicker.
I have a 4000sqft home and it was a struggle for the vacuum to be able to run over the course of a single battery for a full home clean (one hour of power), on a variety of hard wood and carpeted areas. My current stick vacuum runs 45 mins and keeps power for the whole home.
And talking of transitions, at this price point, I would expect some features, like floor sensing, so that the vacuum knows if it is on hardwood or carpet, and adjust suction automatically, but instead, you have + and - buttons on the handle to turn on or off 'TURBO' mode, so you have to do that manually as you transition between floor types. I know, I know, first world problems, but that is a feature I am used to on my current stick vac.
Another feature that would be nice to see at this level are LEDs integrated into the cleaning head, for when you are vacuuming under chairs, tables etc.
Something that sets this vacuum apart tho, is the A9 Kompressor feature which has a lever that allows you to compress the dust and dirt in the chamber to increase vacuuming volume without having to go back to the tower. Another nice feature is it's wifi connectivity that allows you to monitor the vacuums status and it sends you a notification when the battery is fully charged. That is definitely a nice feature.
The tower is nicely designed, it's sleek and minimalistic. You can open it up - the instructional literature shows the doors opening a full 90 degrees, but the doors on ours do not open up that far, which actually impeded trying to mount a couple of accessories in the storage area, especially the pet head roller.
You can set the tower to automatically empty the vacuum when you place the vacuum back in the cradle. It is a little too musical before it empties the vacuum, there are a lot of sounds and tunes that play, but it does a great job of emptying the vacuum, something that my current stick vacuum does not do. The emptying process is quite loud, but it doesn't last long. As I mentioned, there is a bag inside the tower that will need to be emptied from time to time. Thankfully there are several filtration methods on the vacuum, so odors shouldn't be an issue with the dirt and dust sitting in the tower.
The tower not only charges the vacuum battery, but also the spare battery at the same time, so you have instant access to more power should you need it.
As for the stick vacuum itself, it is very compact, lightweight, but there are a couple of things I would change. The vacuum head is really quite small, I am used to a larger cleaning head, so it takes less passes to clean an area. This is important with large open areas of hard wood floors or carpet. The length of the vacuum hose has to be opened up every single time I use the vacuum, it is far too short for me, as you pull it off of the tower. And being as you have to do this every single time you use it, I am concerned about the longevity of the mechanism. And there is a protrusion which is supposed to be a finger rest/grip, but for me, it is a little obtrusive for any length of time.
Overall, this is a solid machine, with some great innovation, but I feel it's also lacking some features that would make it truly great. This vacuum will become the 'upstairs' vacuum in my home, as a convenient alternative to taking my current stick vacuum with me around the home.
It's a nice piece of design, convenient and does have some great features. It is not a bad vacuum at all, and I would recommend it to friends and family.

This is a good stick vacuum cleaner. The tower that holds everything in a neat little package is also a very thoughtful touch, as it is always an issue with owners of stick vacuums. There's never a good place to put the accessories. You always end up putting them a box and placing it in a safe place , so safe that you easily forget where you put it, when you may need those extra parts. But the tower holds the cleaning brush, wand , the brush vac, and the two nossles in an organized fashion. So you can always know where things are. The design and shear pressence of the tower encourage you to want to put things where they belong. The whole package is derived of a regular sized vacuum nossle and a smaller one for furniture or apoulstry. A wand for corners and crevices, a brush, for picking up dug in hairs, if needed and two 2300 mah batteries( with roughly 2 hours of clleaning life, if you're not using the turbo feature. Then there's the tower itself. This is the HUB for the whole thing. The top opens up to an extra battery charger( for battery number 2) and there are touch controls to use the auto clean feature or don't Inside are bagas and filters to catch the waste from the stick in the cleanind cycles. There are also two extra bags to get you started. That should hold you a while, unless you plan to use this as a daily driver in a large and high traffic environment. The power in the vacuum is decent. But it's not amazing. I keep my floor pretty clean and apon the trial run, this vacuum had trouble picking objects that my regular vac would easily pick up. Mind you, I put trash on the floor so I could test it out, and this meant that the trash wasn't even setled. However, I did use lrger than normal stredded strips at one one point and it did much worse trying to suction that up, as the ressvoir got clogged easily.( This would explain the need for cleaning brush.) After cleaning that out and placing the vac into the charging/cleansing dock, the process began to a satifying woosh!!!! This worked pretty well. Some of the longer sheets still strayed in the cup, but I don't recommend vacuuming larger strips over an inch in length. The compacting feature compresses the waste so that you won't have to empty the bag as often, so that's a plus. (VERY IMPORTANTANT: Setting the tower on a carpeted surface is not recommended, as there are vents and suction going on that will pull lint up into the fans and could damage the unit. Hard wood or tile is ideal.) With all that I've said about this machine and as much I do think it is a really cool product. I still feel that this is recommended for light use in smaller spaces. This vac really does nothing to separate itself from the plethora of other, much less expensive vacuums out there. Outside of the self-cleaning feature, which is a neat concept, but very unnecessary, as it is very easy to just empty your cup after every use. The end result is a mediocre gimmick that is only researved for those with the need to impress their friends. If you have the fonds to burn, by all means, pick this up.Other than that, just buy something else more efficient and cost friendly.

Initial Impressions:
The LG CordZero Cordless Stick Vacuum with All-in-One tower is unique from other stick vacuums in several ways. First, the wand is telescopic. Second, the LG CordZero comes with two battery packs. Think electric drill type battery packs. Third, the inclusion of a multi-function, free standing tower. Fourth, disposable vacuum bags. fifth, dust cup auto clean. There is no longer a need for you to stand over the garbage pail and drop your flap! Not unless you want to. And Sixth, homework, uh, very thick User’s Guides. There are a lot of great things to like about the LG CordZero. There are also a few not so fun things that I will discuss under the “Not so Fun Things” section. Overall, I think this is a very solid product that is well designed and full of useful innovations.
Unpacking and Setup:
First, about 80% of the packing material is cardboard. The remainder is a combination of Styrofoam (for the Tower), Styrofoam bags, and a few plastic bags. The LG CordZero also ships with two large User’s Manuals that I recommend you read before using either the LG CordZero or the Tower, a few quick start guides, a warranty-ish kind of sheet, and a few other documents. The LG CordZero ships in a single box with three smaller boxes inside: one for the tower, one for the motor and telescoping wand, and one for the accessories.
Unpacking and setup took about an hour. I spent another hour looking through the manuals and quick setup guides. The LG CordZero is a bit more sophisticated than your regular, run of the mill stick vacuum. For example, the vacuum needs to be loaded into the tower, a bell indicates that the vacuum has been loaded properly so battery charging and dust cup cleaning can take place, and then removal lift first then extract. For my wife, the dust cup popped off the vacuum the first time she extracted the vacuum. More on the dust cup incident in the “Not so Fun Things” section. The Tower has indicator lights and touch settings that are only described in the manual. The good news is LG auto loaded the filters in the LG CordZero and in the tower. They also pre-loaded a dust bag in the Tower and provided two additional dust bags and an additional yellow filter.
The tower has a storage compartment on either side of the unit. All the accessories that ship with the LG CordZero have a hanger location. Which is nice considering most other stick vacuums include a bag that you fill and throw in your bottomless basement for safe keeping… One word of warning, the Tower is not easy to move. The sides are too smooth to get a good grip. To help, LG located carry handles on either side of the Tower hidden behind both doors. If you need to move the unit then open each door, grab the handles, and then lift to move. The tower has an attachable foot with stick on grip pads to add stability to the tower. LG also includes some wall anchors and nylon rope to secure the tower to the wall. This way, the tower is less likely to fall over. The tower is heavy, stable, but there is always the possibility that someone could knock it down and cause injury.
Finally, the two batteries for my unit arrived fully charged. Loading and unloading batteries into the stick vacuum and the tower are just as easy as loading and unloading the batteries in your wireless drill.
Cleaning Power:
The LG CordZero has three power modes. Wimpy (my term), Medium, and Turbo. I used the universal nozzle to clean my basement floor for my first cleaning. My basement is semi-finished having a combination of vinyl tiles, low pile rugs, concrete, and soft foam tiles. The floor space is about 1000 sq feet. I started with Wimpy power and quickly moved to medium power once I saw that wimpy power was doing a terrible job of cleaning up stray kitty litter around my cat box. I switched to Turbo power because medium power was having a difficult time picking up little bits of paper scattered around my wife’s craft area. Turbo did a fantastic job of picking up almost everything on the floor.
Overall, I was able to fill the dust cup with hair, dirt, kitty litter, and other loose debris. See photo. On turbo mode, I got about 10 to 15 minutes run time out of each battery. It took both batteries to clean my basement. The cement and vinyl tiles were the easiest surfaces to clean. The low pile rug was more of a challenge. More on that in the next section. The foam tiles were impossible using medium or turbo power. Switching to wimpy mode made the foam tiles vacuumable. And did a pretty good job on wimpy. The manual recommends one of the cleaning wands for a foam tile surface. Which I ignored.
The dirt collection is significant. One of the unique features of the LG CordZero’s dust cup is a lever that allows me to compress the dirt and hair captured into the dust cup to the bottom of the dust cup. This can extend the use time of the vacuum during longer, heavier cleaning sessions. It is also an important part of the tower’s cleaning cycle. Cleaning the dust cup, regardless of how it is cleaned, is made much easier with the inclusion of the lever.
Other features:
The included pet tool does a good job of removing pet hair. I have a Jersey Wooly rabbit which leaves fine, whisper thin hair everywhere he goes. He loves hanging out with me in my home office during the day and leaves a mess of white hair all over the rug and floor. I used the pet tool on the rug. See included before and after photo. The pet tool did a good job of cleaning up the pet hair but did a terrible job at everything else. I needed to use the universal nozzle to finish the rug cleaning job. I also found a wad of hair caught in the pet tool that I had to manually remove when I swapped out the nozzles. I also used the pet tool on my exercise mat which was also covered in rabbit hair. It did a good job. It is also small enough that I could get into the tight spaces around my exercise bike and along the walls.
The different nozzles that ship with the LG CordZero easily store inside of the Tower. However, there is no space in the tower to store extra filters or dust bags. It would have been a bonus if there was a small shelf in the tower for additional storage but not a deal breaker.
The telescoping wand is one of my favorite features. LG included a slider switch on the wand that depresses in the direction you want to expand or contract the wand. The switch and the telescoping movement is effortless. The telescoping wand also brings more flexibility from a usability perspective.
Some jobs require a three-foot wand. Some jobs, like tight cleaning spaces, can benefit from a wand half the length. For example, the telescoping wand allows me to work easier in the tight space behind my entertainment center. Normally, I bump up against my speakers, TV, photos, and subwoofers. A shorter stick length has an easier time allowing me into these tight spaces. Along this line, the motor is also much smaller and lighter than a plug-in stick vacuum. This also increases cleaning flexibility in tight spaces as mentioned above. I no longer need to worry about managing a cable while trying to not scratch my speakers or subs.
Finally, the other nozzle attachments are nothing special. The crevice tool and brush tool are like every other modern vacuum I have used. They can be used at the end of the wand or directly connected to the handle. They do a good job. The different vacuum power modes will obviously impact performance for each nozzle.
Not so Fun Things:
The dust cup came off the LG CordZero the first time my wife removed it from the tower. One of the two hinge pins holding the dust cup door to the dust cup fell into the dust bag located inside the Tower. The two coil springs that wrap around the hinge pins dropped to the floor. Re-attaching the door took a considerable amount of force. I needed a small vice to squeeze the dust cup enough to allow the pins to be reinstalled. See included photo. Since reassembly, I now need to manually close the dust cover every time I remove the vacuum from the tower. I have no idea if this is normal behavior because the door broke off the very first time it was removed from the tower.
The second not so fun thing is the mobility of the Universal Nozzle. As mentioned above, the vacuum does a good job. But the universal nozzle is very difficult to push across a rug of any thickness. My first rug was an extremely low pile rug. I was surprised by the overall resistance pushing the universal nozzle across the rug. A rug with a slightly thicker pile was higher resistance. I could still clean the rug, but it took additional force than a hardwood, tile, or concrete floor. And much more force than I must apply with other stick vacuums I have used. Ease of mobility on a rug also seems proportional to the vacuum power being applied. I think the LG CordZero will have an issue with any rug ticker than a low pile rug.
Final Thoughts:
The LG CordZero is feature rich and does require the review of LG’s provided manuals before you will be able to fully realize the benefits of this vacuum. There is a lot of intelligent design here including the dust cup auto cleaning, telescoping wand mechanism, and swappable batteries. The tower is sturdy, very useful, and refreshing after owning several stick vacuums with either a cheap wall hanging gimmick or no storage mechanism at all. There are additional nozzles available separately for the LG CordZero such as a mop nozzle, bedding nozzle, and flexible hose extension to name a few. Another feature I do not have room to address is the LG app which connects to the vacuum. The app reports on Cleaning mode, performs Smart Diagnostics, and issues Filter Alarms that will let me know when it is time to maintenance the filters. Overall, I think LGs direction is refreshing and adds a level of flexibility that is not readily available

Great vacuum with smart innovations and features

This CordZero with Tower brings plenty of smart innovations and a few misses. The clear innovation here is the auto-emptying feature. It works well, emptying the vacuum into the tower collection bag like a an interesting robot, with various moving parts that seem well-designed and reliable. No gripes or issues here, it's a bit mesmerizing to watch. I’ve been a stick vacuum owner for a long time, usually buying top-tier models, so I’m a bit spoiled by available power/suction and design. This vacuum goes beyond the rest with this feature. When you don’t have a kitchen (or large) trashcan nearby for emptying these vacuums, you run the risk of making a big mess. I keep this vacuum in a lower floor, without said large-trashcan, so this tower is incredibly handy and preventing mess and providing convenience.
Another feature I’m happy about is the ‘Kompressor’ lever that allows you to press debris inside downward from and exterior lever. This prevents build up of pet fur that’s usually hard to remove when emptying.
Beyond those, other quality of life inclusions are the second battery that charges within the stand, a single button to press on/off to control the vacuum (in lieu of continuously-pressing a trigger), and attachments that have a home within the stand, out of view.
The quality of the design and aesthetics are all great. This looks good, and a step up from their prior stands and vacuums. Interaction points within the tower are a nice yellow-green to attract your attention to their function, including the bag release and filter. Everything feels solid, with robustness I haven’t seen in a while. That robustness continues to the disposable tower collection bags, which almost seems like a shame that you’re meant to discard them.
That gets me to a few gripes… First, in it’s normal suction level, it’s quiet, but not at powerful as my other stick vacuums. You can increase this speed, but there isn’t any apparent auto-power adjustment, so you may have to think about it. This power-nozzle is also fairly difficult to push on modern carpet flooring. There aren’t adjustable airflow channels on the bottom to reduce drag on the floor, but real issue may be that the design itself may simply get more stuck on such floors. Pushing forward on carpet takes more effort than my other stick vacuums.
Despite all of the features you get for the price, I still feel like the vacuum is missing a hard-floor specific power nozzle (i.e. fluffy bar) The bristles on the included one seem too stiff to safely use on my LVT (vinyl) floors in some spaces. LG sells one as an optional accessory, but had they included it here, the package would be feel properly complete.
Comfort could also be a bit better. The stick is aligned with your grip and possibly as a result, the vacuum feels a bit less balanced in the hand. The curved finger notch may also be part of this lack of stability at times.
None of these gripes are deal breakers though, the vacuum remains a great choice and you certainly get a lot of conveniences for buying this package. LG did a lot of good with this one!
In summary,
Pros:
- Self emptying is very convenient, more clean when a large trash bin isn’t located nearby.
- Single button operation.
- Kompressor bin compression feature.
- Extra battery in standby and charging.
- Clean, minimal stand design that hides attachments.
- Telescoping stick with smooth operation.
Cons:
- Suction not super powerful, but quiet.
- Takes more effort to push forward on modern, textured carpet.
- Stick must be collapsed every time for docking.
- Included power brush bar seems too stiff for LVT floors.
- Canister aligned with hose, slightly awkward/unbalanced.
- Animal fur will likely fill the tower bag quickly.

I recently purchased this vacuum, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. This vacuum has outstanding suction power, making it incredibly efficient at picking up dirt and debris from both carpets and hard floors. The design is sleek and lightweight, which makes it easy to maneuver around the house. Additionally, the vacuum comes with various attachments that are perfect for cleaning furniture, stairs, and even tight corners. This vacuum has exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and powerful cleaning tool.

I live in a split level home, I have 4 robot vacs, 2 downstairs and 2 upstairs. They run once a week. I ran them before I did my testing on the LG CordZero. I have a variety of rugs throughout the house (mostly tile and wood floors). The robots have a tough time with the rug edges and where the rugs are close to walls. I also had an exercise room with rubber floor tiles (18"x18"). The robots struggle with this floor, as did my old Hoover. So I'm anxious to see how the LG stick will do.
Getting the LG CordZero setup took about 10m to unbox and remove all the tape and do the simple assembly. The unit cones in one big box containing 3 smaller boxes, One all of the accessories (a nice assortment of tools), the next largest is the stick components, the last largest box is the stand/emptying tower. The vacuum comes with 2 batteries, one gets charged in the vacuum the other goes into the top of the tower. The batteries only go one way and click into place. Like everything these days, LG has an app, the LG ThinQ (which they use for most of their smart products, I already had the app installed, so I only needed to add the Vacuum, which it found automatically once I connected the Vacuum to my 2.4G WiFi network. About all the app does is tell you the status of the device (Charging, Charged or Vacuuming). It also collects information about usage to help you with filter changing suggestions, a smart diagnosis tool that assures you everything is put together correctly. There is also a "Tips & Articles" section that is an online help guide.
The StickVac has 3 power levels, Normal, Power and Turbo; each uses the battery more rapidly. I'd expect to get 40m on Normal, 30m on Power, and 20m on Turbo. The vacuum is fairly quiet on Normal, a bit louder on Power, and even louder on Turbo. None are that noisy. The vacuum tools all can be stored inside the tower sides. The crevice tool, pet hair tool, and cleaning brush go on the right side. The mini-vac head (likely to be used in a car or in place of a 'DustBuster') goes on the left side (it makes a really powerful dustbuster). It took almost 3 hours for both of my batteries to charge completely (there is a LED indicator on the vacuum front and on the top of the charging station).
I started in my kitchen where the rug is close to a wall, where the head easily negotiated the space and picked up what the robot had left behind. I generally found the LG CordZero did a better job on my hard floors than the robot did, and it can get under furniture that the robots bounce off of. So I found that I found a lot of dust bunnies under furniture and in corners that the robots miss. I also used the stick on my carpeted stairs, obviously a place the robots are useless. This was one of the primary reasons I was looking for another vacuum, my stairs. I then went to my exercise room, where I have 1" thick compressed rubber floor tiles. It makes for a nice workout area, but they are so difficult to clean, as they are kind of rough, and traffic from outdoors attracts dust that sticks to them. In the attached image you can see the difference that two passes made on the tiles (on the 'power' setting). My "green rooms" new best friend. I wandered around getting under beds and furniture that I knew the robot missed. I can't say I was surprised by the amount of dust and hair that the CordZero picked up (but I was). I ran about 1/2 the time on normal power and most of the rest on the 'power' setting. I didn't really use the Turbo mode that often (that's how powerful the first 2 modes are). I did find that using the CordZero on thick pile rugs was somewhat difficult to move the vacuum, but that is not where I plan to use it the most.
The second last image shows how full the vacuum container was after about 25 min of use. The last image shows a "push" plunger on the top of the vacuum, when emptying the vacuum into the tower, if the vacuum is packed pretty tight, you might need to assist ing the unloading process by pressing this push button in.
There are numerous filters that eventually need to be cleaned or changed, the CordZero comes with several bags and extra filters, one goes in the hand held unit, the other goes into the tower. Emptying the bag is quite straightforward, LG's did a good job of trying to prevent you from making a mess of emptying the tower. I've not used the tower enough to know how often it needs to be emptied, but there is a message that will be displayed on the tower when it needs to be emptied. You can either set the tower up so that it sits on the floor or it can be hung on the wall, depending on the space you have available.
If you have hard floors I can fully recommend the LG CordZero Vacuum, this coming from someone with 4 other robot vacuums, there is still a place for manual vacuuming.

I love the Lg cordless vacuum it comes with two batteries runs on 120 minutes which is two hours and it really helps when you don’t have to worry about a battery going dead. You got it back up this product is a good product. You may take a few minutes for it to recognize it self empty but I’m fine with that.

Finally pulled the trigger on this one as I didn't feel like taking apart my Dyson to put in an after market battery. This is so much quieter than my Dyson, picks up a lot more, and the battery lasts forever! I can clean my entire house without swapping the battery, and that's even using turbo mode at times. The auto emptying system is awesome, and we keep it in our living room as it's actually a show/conversation piece.

This vacuum worked very well!
At first…
After about two weeks I noticed it started pushing/flying debris around and not sucking it up. the times it did suck things up, when I would put it back in its tower some of the debris would fall out of the bottom and all over the floor. After re-vacuuming whatever debris fell back out, the tower would not completely empty the bin and would leave the door of the vacuum open.
Even after changing the filters, cleaning the vacuum and it’s tubes out, and emptying the dust bag (even though it wasn’t full) it still wouldn’t work like it originally did.
Our downstairs is probably about 1,200 sq and a fully charged battery couldn’t do the whole downstairs; it looses power very quickly.
We also have a Great Dane that doesn’t shed much but it did not do a great job at picking up dog hair regardless of which attachment you used.
It’s also very top heavy compared to other stick vacuums making maneuvering awkward to say the least.

Good stick vac. the storage tower that self empties the canister is the winning feature. Worth the extra cost. Comes with attachments I actually use. Extra battery with onboard charging gives me more than enough runtime to vac my lower rec level of about 1400 sq ft and a large sectional needing constant hair clearing because of 2 cats. The vac for upstairs is another brand and works well but I avoid it and the dusty mess it makes when emptying the canister

The noise it makes seems to be well tolerated by the dogs and cats. The charge does not last very long on the highest power setting. However, it’s easy to use and not heavy, which encourages quick cleanups here and there.
