Customers appreciate the Moto G4 for its budget-friendly price, impressive camera quality, and long battery life. The unlocked nature of the phone and its ample storage capacity are also well-received. While some users have expressed disappointment in the lack of a built-in compass, the overall positive feedback highlights the phone's value and functionality.

No complaints. Perfect size compromise (for me). Fast enough, good battery life. recharges fast. excellent camera. Speaker on front is loud enough. Not too much bloatware. I did not give it a 5 because I had bought a reconditioned model that had USB connection and touchscreen problems within 90 days. BUt, I liked the phone so much I took a chance on a new one. Unlocked. I bought this to add to a Blue Life XL I had bought that was nice, but too slow and not enough ram. Both are good phones for their prices. But the most ram you can afford! apps take up internal storage fast. Make sure you have an external SD slot on whatever phone you buy.

I am pleased with the phone. It does everything that I want it to do even if it does it differently than the Samsung S4 that it replaced. The biggest headache that I had ( I had to go to ATT service center and they figured it out) is that the G doesn't play MWA format music files only MP3. A lot of my music had to be converted to MP3. (Best Buy techs were not aware of that fact and to be fair the phone 4th generation hadn't been out that long.) The other thing that isn't quite as handy is that to download to the micro SD card I have to unseat the card and use an adapter for the SD port reader on my computer. My computer doesn't "see" the card if I use the charging cable. It works fine just different. From the reviews that I read on the 3rd generation my biggest concern was the camera and I haven't had any issues with it. It takes really good pictures. I think the weakest link on the camera is taking low light pictures. The Moto G does everything that I need it to for a third of the price of the big boys.

I have this phone for more than one month now and it is exactly what I expected. The first thing I wanted was good battery life, and it lasts about 2 full days for me (I don't use it very intensively though, but 1 day would be enough for intensive use). The second thing I wanted was a decent camera, which it has (decent = good quality pictures, not necessarily top notch). One thing that I don't like is that the front camera skews the image at the bottom of the picture because it is placed in the top, but it captures a picture exactly in the front of the phone. The back camera is ok though, and front camera is ok if your face is in the top of the picture (or bottom if you rotate it 180 degrees). One other thing I like VERY much about it is that it does not have bloatware, it came with exactly what I needed. Other than that, it feels good, the lock button has a texture so that you can recognize it by touching that it's not the volume (and vice-versa). Pros: -good camera -good speed -long battery -fast charge (TurboCharge) -bloatfree -easy access to camera (with a kind of hand shake), easy access to flashlight (a chop-chop shake and it turns on/off) Cons: -big screen => may be hard to reach the top left corner with your right hand thumb (I was used to smaller phones and at first it was pretty hard, now I got used to it) -skews picture in front camera on the bottom side -no compass (as far as I heard, no built-in compass, but I used it in navigation and it was ok, gps works well, also has accelerometer and gyroscope)

Bought this for my wife to replace a Samsung Galaxy S4 that was having bluetooth issues. This Motorola is a great phone. I bought it with 32GB memory. The screen is big, bright, and crisp. Build quality is excellent. I really like that is unlocked for any network, just insert the sim card. Planning on using it overseas soon, just buy a prepaid sim card and go. Only thing I dont like is that there is no notification LED on the front, so you have to physically touch the phone to see if you got a call or text or something. But you'll get used to it. Also, exceptional battery life, lasts two days for my wife vs one full day with S4.

I have owned Motorola phones since the original "Brick" interspersed with Nokia, Samsung, LG and others. This generation of Moto phones is really excellent for the price. Very good camera, good battery life, very quick charge, good solid feel in the hand. I have no complaints. The only possible negative that comes to mind is that the phone is just a tad slippery in gripping it, increasing the possibility of it slipping out of the hand. This is a very small complaint.

The Moto G (4th Generation) is still easily amongst the best budget smartphones currently available in market. 4G LTE, 5.5" screen, 1080p Resolution, 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM, Moto features (ambient display), Moto gestures (chop for flashlight, twist for camera), decent front facing camera, solid rear facing camera (13 mp, auto focus, dual LED flash, HDR) near pure Android experience. I just can't say enough about this phone at the price point. It's not a perfect phone, but it certainly won't disappoint

The many features to love on this camera include great battery life (48-72 hours) good camera, good screen resolution, expandable memory with micro SD card, light weight, good ergonomics. One drawback, I wish it had a magnetic sensor for my navigation apps with a compass function. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase, and you cannot beat the price ($229 for the 32 gb version).

Today I just passed by an Apple store where people were standing in line like Zombies desperate to get there hands on the latest over hyped cell phone from A. I just smiled knowing that I paid a fraction of a price for phone which in many respects is so much better. Perfect voice, runs every application I need flawlessly, fast and would survive falling in the tub!!!! Let the zombies pay more, be smart and get this outstanding phone.

I'm more of a value oriented consumer as opposed to having the latest and greatest items. Purchased this phone after reading several articles confirming this phone as being an excellent value. Have had phone for a couple of months now and have been very happy with my purchase. Speedier, has more internal memory, larger and better display, and better camera than my previous phone. Would recommend this phone to any value oriented consumer without hesitation.

I bought this phone for use on the Verizon network to replace my son's phone with a cracked screen. He had a droid maxx so all we needed to do was put in the sim card from his old phone and start it up. It was super simple and a great phone. The only downfall was the camera, which is not a strong feature on Motorola phones. Well worth the price.

I have no complaints about this phone, I'm very impressed with the quality and think it's well worth the money. Great camera and battery life, I'm really impressed with the storage space as well. I've had this phone for several months now and it's held up great. I don't know how it's survived through me spilling water on it three times and having to dry it out with rice but it has no damage as far as I can tell.

Didn't want to spend a lot on a phone so got this one for my sister. She likes it. It's fast and easy to use. I like that there are no per-installed unnecessary apps that I can't remove to get more space.

Bought this phone after I broke my Iphone 6 after just 6 months. Besides price, wasn't that impressed with the Iphone anyway, didn't want to spend a ton of money, but needed a smartphone for work. Functionally, this phone is every bit as good as the flagship phones for a fraction of the price. The display is great, fast processor, nicely sized display. The only cons to the phone are there are not as many choices for protectors/cases, and the camera doesn't take great pictures. It takes ok video, but the photos always seem to be a little pixelated, regardless of light, etc. Also no visual voicemal is slightly annoying, although an app from the play store is doing ok for that. Have not had any problems with the phone freezing, had to take it to Verizon to have it activated, but the threw in a sim and charged for activation, and it was good to go. After getting this phone, I don't know if I will ever shell out the premium money for a flagship phone again.

very good cell phone, nice screen, very high resolution. Android 6.01 native. The pictures from both cameras (back and front) are very clear with bright colours. 2 Gb RAM makes the phone work very smooth without lags. 32 Gb of internal memory, expandable via microSD card allows the storage of lots of apps and info (music, pictures, videos, etc, etc). very recomendable

iPhone user - thought I'd try an Android 'cuz of large screen, SD card, mini-USB cable, and Android familiarity. I'm s-l-o-w-l-y getting used to it but it's not as intuitive as iPhone. Love the l-o-n-g battery life and excellent camera. Hard to find cheap cases but other than that....

I was required to buy my brother a phone under short notice while we got his phone sent back to be fixed. This phone was great because it fit my need to be able to put his sim in right away with no issues and get the phone going. I of course simply had to set it up also with my cellular online account to be aware the device was on my account.
