Received the Mysa In-Floor thermostat to replace another "Name-Brand" tha I have had in my home for about 5 years. Main problem I was trying to solve is that the "other brand" sometimes turned on by itself after a power failure, and in a remote house that was a big problem. Mysa is a much more elegant thermostat. Easy to install, simple interface. Obviously with WiFi, can be controlled remotely (the other name brand has a wifi version but felt Mysa more elegant for a residential installation). Switching & installing was easy with the exception that connecting the floor heater sensor to the thermostat terminal was surprisingly difficult. Sensor wire is typically very thin and malleable, and the terminal port is sort of awkward to get to (and tiny), so threading the spindly wire into the terminal was a challenge. Once done though, connected to wifi and the android app seamlessly, and I can now remote control and turn off (and on) the floor heater. Three more suggestions (1) Mysa should try to help identify the proper floor sensor setting by showing a list of floor heater makers and the appropriate sensor settings (2) Mysa should include a tiny screwdriver for the floor sensor terminal screws, they are much smaller than what a typical household screwdriver would fit, and (3) their documentation for the app is in the form of faqs and can be sort of not helpful for a holistic overview or for specific questions. Granted the app is fairly intuitive, but for example, for the simple question of "how do I turn off the power to the floor heat", it is not completely clear what actually achieves that. There is a FAQ answer on the website, but those instructions don't actually match the app (maybe it matches the iOS app?).

I got the Mysa thermostat since I had an old one and it was very easy to replace, much easier than I thought. The instructions are easy to follow, just download the application and install the thermostat and then just program it. I just had to connect to my Wi-Fi to get the best of it. The thermostat is well packaged and it comes with wire nuts and mounting screws to make it easier. I really like how simple and clean the front of the thermostat looks, it is an awesome improvement. And using the application from anywhere I am is a huge plus since I can change the temperature before arriving, or schedule it as well. I do like the adaptive brightness because it is not super bright at night, I like that improvement. The soft touch control is great, especially if I don’t want to use the app. Finally one of the best things I like is the control using the assistant, I do not need to even use my phone, I have a speaker that controls several smart products and this is another one added to it. Overall I really like it, not only does it look much better having it on the wall, it is smart and efficient.

I really like that this system works with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit. We have both google and apple and I can pick which one system I want to connect it with. Connecting is super easy once you’ve installed it. I will say installing isn’t super easy unless you are a licensed electrician. So unless you are comfortable with stuff like that, then you either watch some YouTube videos and order hire someone. Note to the wise, electricity is nothing to play with. This system is really only helpful if you live in a really really cold area or an area that has winter 6 months of the year. Otherwise there really is no use to having one of these. It’s heats your baseboards, in wall heaters, and other stuff like that. It works like most all other thermostats but not to the normal stuff that you might be used to. So make sure this is something you can use and make sure you home is compatible or you will waste your time. Remember this is a baseboard heating thermostats. And it does it’s does on a smart level.

I've been using this for about a month. This is the 2nd generation baseboard thermostat. It was simple to install for our 240V baseboard that we're using in a bathroom. It has three cables: Line1 , load and Line2. The only problem I had installing is that had the line and load reversed, and did not turn on. After swapping the cables it worked with no issues. The thermostat is installed in two pieces: All the high voltage remains inside the electric box, and the controller board snaps on top once the backplate is screwed in. Once installed all the high voltage is sealed. The thermostat uses a relay to control the load, so there's a slight click when on. Initial programming was very simple using the Mysa app and Apple Home (HomeKit) in my case it was very straightforward. After configuring it through the app, I can control it via Apple Home and also added integrations for Amazon Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings and IFTTT. It can be controlled from either platform via cloud connections to Mysa's server, except for HomeKit that uses local connections. The front panel is glass, which can be set to remain off when there is no one near it (It has a sensor). It then illuminates with white dots from behind the glass that form a low-res matrix, which shows the direction arrows (up for warmer, down for colder) and the temperature reading. Tapping on the arrow one can adjust the temperature. The touch controls are a tad slow. Holding the glass where the button is, the changes go a bit faster. Everything else is controlled via the app or via the 3rd party integrations. Control from the phone is quick and the app is simple. Installing it via Apple Home was very simple. HomeKit pairing is done via NFC on the right left corner. When setting it up via HomeKit, it configures Wi-Fi if it hasn't been installed via the Mysa app first, so very well integrated. Controlling it via Apple Home doesn't require an internet connection. All other methods require one. I asked Mysa customer support about Matter support and they replied very quickly and in a friendly manner they told me they're looking into it. Matter works very much like HomeKit but with every other home automation system, as well, simultaneously, so it also doesn't require an internet connection to work. Also note that it also has a humidity sensor, which shows up on Apple Home as a sensor. With the Mysa app one can set schedules and see consumption charts as well. Overall, works very well and the design is minimalistic and looks nice

This Mysa Smart Programmable Wi-fi Thermostat is an excellent, if simple, home appliance. It is a line-level thermostat made to operate resistance heaters, which means it can operate at either 120 or 240 Volts and control the operation of baseboard heaters, fan-forced in-wall heaters, and in-ceiling radiant heaters. These high-voltage appliances and have been overlooked by the big smart thermostat manufacturers, and I think Mysa is only one of two companies that makes a line-level smart thermostat to control them. The good news here is the Mysa does its job flawlessly. You just turn off power to your heater, wire the Mysa to the hot, neutral, and load connections that control your heater, turn the power back on, and commission the Mysa using the app. Because the junction box behind my 60 year-old thermostat was kind of a rat's nest of wires, I had a pro come and do the wiring, but with his guidance I feel confident I could do another one with no problem. Commissioning the Mysa thermostat in the app is very simple, especially the new way of using NFC from your phone to register the new device and share wi-fi information with it. Within about 10 minutes (after a firmware update), I was rolling and controlling my ceiling heat with no problems. For me, the Mysa Smart Thermostat solves a particular issue. I have a house built in the 1960s, with ceiling heat in three bedrooms and one bathroom. All of them need a line-level thermostat like this, and I may get a few more Mysa units in the future, but my main use case was to control the heater in my kids room from the outside with an app. My wife and I put them to bed with the heat on, and sometimes in the past we'd forget to turn it off before going to bed ourselves. This leaves the bedroom to get quite warm overnight, wasting electricity and driving up our bills. With the Mysa, we can automatically set a time for the heat to turn off so we never forget again! This Mysa line-level thermostat is actually my second Mysa product. I also have a Mysa thermostat in the main part of my house to control our mini-split heat pump system. I liked the first one so much that I got this one to go along with it. If I decide to get more smart thermostats to control the other rooms' ceiling heat, I will be sure to choose Mysa again. Highly recommended!

First Impression - An economical smart thermostat that works with or without a C-Wire ! - Upon opening the box I removed the thermostat and carefully detached it from it's mounting plate. It includes the standard warranty registration reminder and some instructions. It is well packed and icluded a getting started guide. First use - I set this up on my test bench and powered it up to check that it's functioning correctly prior to installing it in my main attic. Yes, I actually plan to use this to control an attic fan system that has a normal on/off trigger. I plan to set limits and schedules based on a high range of temps ( Start over 90F ). Prior to committing to this project use - I hooked it up to the split unit controls I have to heat and cool and small shop. I wanted to test out the mobile app / settings and make sure the internal wireless antenna had a good level of signal ! First installation and testing - I had no issues at all trigging heat or cool with a split unit that can act as either an air conditioner or a heat pump. It connected to my wireless without issue where the primary access point is far across the house. Second Installation - I added a transformer to supply current full time to the unit - My attic fan systems do not supply a "C" wire, they only accept triggering to run them. The app - I installed the spp on IOS and waded through the initial setup and test. I had the thermostat setup within a few minutes and was able to control it easily. I decided to try it out on my android tablet as well - no issues with that setup either. Overall - Simple to use, easy to tie into a standard HVAC system or your own custom projects. The application for setup and control works well and is simple to use. I would very much recommend this if you considering replacing a non-smart thermostat. We already have for our split zone primary units and the savings can be very significant ! What I love: It works exactly as expected ! Settings are stored somewhere ? - A power reset does not phase it ! Room for improvement: Please offer in other colors !

I was not sure what to expect when I ordered this, but I have been more than happy with it! Looks nice, comes with an App, and easy to install. This was a great replacement for my old wall dial thermastat

Since I don't have any low voltage wires, and only have 120/240 systems. This is AMAZING!!! Super easy to use and program. I look forward to the energy savings going from a turn dial thermostat to this digital one.

These thermostats are a huge upgrade from the old dial ones I had before. Was tough to find compatible electricity but these worked out great.

This is really the only product of its kind. I haven't been able to find any wifi thermostat for 220v baseboard heat. Bought it for our mountain cabin to turn on the heat while away during cold snaps. As an added benefit, it reports the current room temperature and humidity in the app. Really gives me some peace of mind when away to avoid catastrophic freezing of our pipes.

This is THE smart thermostat for electric heating systems. To get started, the Mysa website provides a tool that confirms whether your electric system is supported. Once confirmed, it's time to replace that antique thermostat. The Mysa unit is a very modern looking thermostat with a flat glass display with no buttons or moving parts. The newest version is now smaller and narrower than the original version. In the box - Mysa Smart Thermostat, mounting screws, caps and a Welcome/Quick Start Guide. That's it, and that's all that is needed! Installation is listed as 15 minutes and that was just about what it took as the installation process is so straight forward. Always start by turning off the power to the existing thermostat, uninstall the existing 4 wire thermostat and make sure to connect the Mysa to the correct wires. The online app and the included guide walk through these steps. Mysa also provides tech support if needed. Mysa App - Once the new thermostat is connected, all you need to do is download the app, in my case from the Apple App Store. Create an account, flip the power back on and walk through the setup process. It's that simple! The Mysa also supports a number of voice assistants including Google Assistant, Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The touchscreen provides the essentials for controlling the temperature and the numbers and arrows are large and easy to read. The screen's brightness is adjustable within the App. There are several other settings that are adjustable in the App including Setpoint levels, Eco Mode, Button Locking, Scheduling, etc. Pros: - Easy installation and operation - Online App for control while not home - Modern look and design - Energy efficiency controls to help save money - Great App-based and online support if needed Cons: - So far I haven't found any in terms of setup, operation or build quality The Mysa Smart Thermostat is a perfect solution for updating older electric home heating. As electric heat can be very expensive, that ability to set schedules and manage the thermostat remotely are potential money-savers. The modern design and great build quality also update the look of your home. I've already had several compliments on the Mysa unit. I would certainly recommend the Mysa Smart Thermostat to anyone with a supported electric heating system.

If you have baseboard heat, this is a fabulous smart thermostat.

I’m a residential service electrician, so I regularly deal with baseboard and in-wall electric heaters for my job. I often get asked by customers how they’ll be controlling their heaters and I tell them that there will be a twist knob thermostat on the unit itself or as an upgrade, on the wall. Currently, there aren’t many regularly available options for Smart Control, let alone something the looks more modern than something designed in the 1980’s. On top of the more modern look, the Mysa Smart Thermostat has voice assistant integration and Wi-Fi. Installation is straightforward and must be installed to a single gang box or mud ring. The only caveat here is that it requires a neutral for the Wi-Fi and low voltage control. Most 240V baseboard heaters are installed with 2-wire and would be incompatible with this thermostat unless you’re willing to do something sketchy - the process that I shall not name. So if you’re looking to install this to an existing install, you might be out of luck and require a new 3-wire feed. I found the app and usability to be simple, but it’s not Apple simple. If you can navigate an app, you can use it. The smart features alone would probably make the unit pay for itself, as anyone with electric baseboard knows: efficiency and ease of preheat is slim to none on knob thermostats. The unit supposedly learns and saves you money, but I’ve never figured that out. It feels solid and probably the best part if you have multiple devices is that you can link them up. This thermostat is the first ubiquitous step in taking baseboard heat out of the stone ages. Last note, it takes 3800W. Standard 4-foot baseboard heaters are usually 1000W so you only get three heaters on one of these thermostats. Something to note if you have a bigger room.

This thermostat is easy to set up using the supplied instructions and only takes a few minutes to configure with the mobile phone app. It integrates nicely with voice assistant services like google and amazon Alexa. I have not used it with Apple Home, but as I understand it works well with that tool as well. The Mysa mobile app woks well. It allows you to control your thermostat from anywhere in your home via wifi and even remotely when you're away. The auto-away function is nice too. Using the auto-away feature your system can automatically adjust thermostat settings which conserves energy and money. The installation of the Mysa Thermostat is not complicated at all. Be sure to terminate the power to the heating/cooling unit and the existing thermostat before starting any work. Simply disconnect your old thermostat, I recommend taking pictures or making notes of the connections just to be sure. Next, follow the connection instructions in the box of the Mysa thermostat. Restore the power once everything is properly connected and test the unit. You will have to setup the mobile app and connect it to the thermostat before you can use the mobile features. However, discover and setup are seamless and only take a few minutes to complete. This thermostat does support multiple zones which is extremely nice! You can easily manage the temperature of different areas of your home if you have a setup that supports it. The panel of the Mysa thermostat is easy to use. The touch screen is comfortable and responsive. Simple gestures are used to manage and adjust the temperature. I highly recommend the Mysa - Smart Programmable Wi-Fi Thermostat. It's a fanstastic unit, easy to use and looks great on the wall.

First things first, while the installation of this thermostat is easy if you have the right wiring, you are dealing with high voltage. If you do not feel 100% comfortable installing yourself, please call a professional. First thing is to read the instructions carefully and make sure you turn your power off at the breaker. I recently moved to a colder climate and got this to test out next winter in an effort to save money on my heating bill. Out of the box, the unit looks sleek and simple, which I love! Things are getting pretty complicated now adays and to have something simple seems refreshing. Installation was a breeze, basically 3 wires and mounting the unit. The app is easy to download and going through the connection process was very easy. Because we have not reached the cooler months yet, I have not had an opportunity to put it through its paces nor have am I able to report on any cost savings. I have tested it and it works exactly as advertised. I will try to update my review once winter comes and I can report on how efficient it is and if I save any money. So far, I have found nothing wrong with it and it works perfectly.
