Excellent Remote - If You Put In The Work!

I was he distant to purchase this because the reviews are pretty hit or miss but since it was on sale I decided eh, why not? I received it in the mail today and after spending maybe 30min watching a helpful YouTube video (https://youtu.be/N-1A3_0YOEI ) and reading the manual cover to cover, it took maybe 10 pain-less minutes to set up! But I say this as someone who loves problem solving and technology. It’s not always super intuitive but If you watch the video and read the instructions you’ll be okay! My set up was on a Samsung NU507100 Smart TV and a Vizio 2.1 SB3621n sound bar. I wanted a remote that would let me use my TV’s functions but that controlled the volume on the sound bar. This One For All remote (OFA) has a quick set up option that works for more popular TV/sound bar/streaming device brands. I used that for my TV and it made maybe 50% of the buttons function and for the sound bar, it worked for the volume but not for power button. I was able to get a lot more out of using the C-learning function which basically has you line up the IR sensor on the OFA remote with the one on the remote you want it to ‘learn’ from. Using this function was actually nicer because I had full control of which buttons I wanted ‘copied’ over from my TV’s remote. And EVERY button on the OFA remote is programmable. I was able to use the TV power button for my Samsung and then the red power button for my sound bar. For the dedicated streaming buttons, I assumed they only worked for streaming devices (Apple TV, Roku, etc.) and since my TV had built in apps, I didn’t think I could use it but the manual does provide instructions for programming macros for those buttons. Basically once you’ve finished programming all your TV buttons, you put the remote in ‘learning’ mode for the dedicated buttons and press whatever button sequence on your remote would get you to the app you want to use (for Netflix on my TV it was Home > Scroll Twice > Press Enter). So whenever I press the Netflix button, the remote makes the TV do the sequence without me having to press the buttons. It’s not SUPER direct of course but it only requires one button press! As a testament to it’s ease of use, after I finished programming it, I asked my partner (who is not very into tech and is easily frustrated by it lol) to test it out and they were able to use it right away! Anyway, that’s pretty much everything and I would HIGHLY recommend for anyone who relies on streaming/doesn’t have cable, is down to figure it out, and doesn’t want to spend a lot for a universal remote!

    Cheap Hidden Gem!

An absolute hidden gem of a product! For ~$25, it can LEARN ANY IR signal, has a super nice button layout and feel (I easily can feel the difference between the play and mute buttons in the dark, something that's incredibly important to me.) The buttons aren't quite as tactile and excellent feeling as the apple tv remote, but the apple tv remote is very limited in what it can do comparatively. Setting it up to control my Apple TV 4k and LG OLED was a breeze with the codes, requires no app (so is future proof from app being abandoned), and it was so easy getting it to learn the power and volume controls for my ancient audio amplifier. The input button can temporarily control the TV while selecting the input and then go back to controlling the streamer, which is super convenient. The buttons are big and spread out so I never fat finger buttons like I've done on most other remotes. I promise I'm not being paid: it's just rare that a product is designed so well for so cheap. A remote that has more functionality for the same price (with macros) is the Inteset 422-4, which I also use sometimes, but the rest of my family just uses the One for All because of its previously mentioned big spread out buttons that feel distinct from each other in the dark (+backlight) and its simplicity.

It works well with a sound bar and customer support is very helpful. Not useable for more than 3 items. This works best with streaming boxes I use it with Apple TV (2021), Polk Audio Signa S4 Sound bar and LG TVOLed C1 PUB. For set up I used option c for Remote learning worked the first time w/ sound bar the others took more attempts maybe because i'm inexperience. Interested to see this years next model.

Easy to set up and functions properly, the learn function is the best easy to control my surround sound and roku tv all at the same time. The buttons on the remote also light up so no having to squint or shine any lights to see in the dark. The buttons clearly eliminate so you can choose the right button,

One for All remote a good decision

I find this remote convenient and it can replace the multiple remotes I used before for turning on the TV, working my Roku, and adjusting my soundbar. Now I use the one remote for all of these purposes. It was a little daunting trying to figure out how to program the remote the first time as the instructions are correct but confusing. It also seems a little heavy compared to other remotes, but functionally it provides easier usability. It has a limitation on programming the special buttons at the bottom of the remote, but I gave it five stars because I actually bought two since I like it that well.

    Slick TV Remote Control

This universal TV remote control is pretty slick! The original remote for my LG TV was all buttons and it was virtually impossible to select the correct button without turning on a light in a dark room. The Streamer Remote is more tactile with the large round directional control pad. The design is conducive for use with streaming services where selecting channel numbers is a thing of the past. Programming was a bit tricky, but works ok if you follow the directions carefully. It took me a few tries, but then not too hard to get it done.

My wife has nothing left to complain about. After several painstaking years of a cheap Samsung Soundbar (optical only) and a cheap Hisense Roku TV, you can finally control both with one remote in a room anyone barely uses to watch TV. Learning curve is tricky, so much so that even as techy as I am, I almost gave up. At one point it was working to turn the TV on and off, but couldn't navigate Roku menu. No idea what happened, but everything is working correctly. Thank you.

Decent infrared remote. Some codes for certain manufacturers don't seem to have key repeat so keys have to be pressed repeatedly instead of being held down, which is a bit annoying. It also doesn't properly support some Samsung devices (like TVs from the last 5 years or so). You can power on and off, switch inputs, and control TV volume, but eARC volume control is spotty and many other buttons don't work. Older Samsung remotes can be used to train this remote, then it'll work since the newer TVs still receive infrared commands, but the new TV remotes can't train this remote because they don't use infrared. Those shortcomings aside, it is relatively flexible and has turned out to be a good-enough choice to use for basic TV + soundbar operation in combination with controlling KODI on a PC via FLIRC and EventGhost. For many advanced TV/audio amp/soundbar features, you will probably need the device's specific remote, so keep them handy. Overall it's a decent IR remote for the price.

Review for One for All Streamer Remote. My setup includes 2023 LG 77" TV, Yamaha receiver with 7.1 Klipsch speakers and Roku Ultra. This remote is perfect for my system. I can turn on/off both the TV and receiver with the two power buttons. I had to teach this remote the power signal using the Yamaha remote but it's an easy task. I can control the volume of the receiver. And, I can control my Roku. The only thing this remote doesn't have is the microphone. It would be really nice if it did, but that is a minor omission overall. I'm extremely happy with how this one remote has replaced the Yamaha and Roku remotes that I had to use before. I even reprogrammed the Netflix button to go to the DirecTV steaming app that I use. There are a lot of instructions included with this remote but if you take your time and follow them, this remote really works great. It seems to be well-built and a higher quality remote than some of the cheaper ones.

Breeze to Set Up / TCL Roku TV & Sonos Playbar

    Posted .

This was by far the easier universal remote Ive ever had to setup, and I’ve used philips and harmony remotes in the past. Im just controlling my TCL 6-Series Roku TV (2022) and my Sonos Playbar - for whatever reason the remote that came with the TV cannot control the playbar consistently and unpairs from it after a few minutes. This one works great - I love the customization of the light color and the shortcut buttons - very well-designed product. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about, seems like maybe some Samsung TVs dont like the tremote as much - makes sense as Samsung software tends to be a bit finickiy - but using this has been awesome and very user friendly. Buttons are nice and clicky, too.

I don’t know if it’s operator error or what, but we have bought two of these remotes. The first one we bought was a gift for my parents. They’d just bought an Apple TV and the remotes for Apple TV’s are infuriatingly sensitive and not-intuitive, especially for older generations. This remote, once paired, was exactly what my parents needed — bigger buttons, clicks, and intuitive buttons/features. The only caveat was the strange workaround for accessing certain apps that would appear on the AppleTV. All was great for them, then when we bought ourselves the latest AppleTV, we also bought this remote, too. Again, all was well for a few months and then suddenly it stopped working. It wasn’t a battery issue. We think it may have been either a TV software update (Toshiba) or an AppleTV update that stopped working with this remote. I got so frustrated trying to troubleshoot, I gave up and kind of adapted to using the awful AppleTV remote. I may give this another try when I have some time to kill, as I really liked it at first.

      Hello Nadia77

Im sorry to hear about your issues with apple tv, I don't know why it would change in an update but in my experience with apple tv's they will lock them selves down and no longer accept inputs from Ir remotes if a apple tv remote is paired. Perhaps one got paired and then it stopped accepting IR? other than that im not sure why it would stop working if you want to take a look at it we would be happy to help at support 716-2573.

For nearly 1/3 of the price of an Apple TV 4 remote, this was a perfect replacement. Setup took all of 2 mins once I read the instruction steps. Admittedly the manual is a bit all over the place with way too much info but that’s nit picking. Overall this is a quality backlit remote. Works very well with my Sony TV and Apple TV. Keep in mind this remote only works via IR infrared so make sure your device receives IR signals and that the remote has line of sight to the device!!
