After using this for a few days as a replacement in my office, I can say that at $170, this TV is pretty good. Being the cheapest 4k option with Dolby Vision & Atmos support, it is a very good price. All of that seems to work pretty well, and the picture is surprisingly good. I'd say this is definitely a great value TV.
That being said, it is certainly not perfect. If you're just looking for the basic apps, xumo is totally fine. If you have home media (i.e. plex or something similar), Xumo is garbage and you will absolutely need to get a roku, chromecast, or shield. Xumo does not allow to stream personal media on your home network, at least through Plex. I currently use the chromecast 4k with it, and it work fantastically.
Xumo's limitations aside, the TV is a bit slow, which isn't unexpected, however it has a loading screen when switching inputs, as well as a boot up process that takes a bit longer than I anticipated. The picture adjustment settings are basically nonexistent, so customization there is quick lacking.
Expectations for this TV should be low. it is awesome under $200, and one of the better options at that price. It can not be in any conversation with my LG C3 OLED, but that TV is 8x the price. The TV is a great value, and perfect when paired with a $50 chromecast 4k or roku stick 4k.

Hi JamesT! Thank you for your detailed feedback on the TV. I truly appreciate your honest insight on the pros and cons of the product. Despite its limitations, I am grateful for your recommendation to pair it with a Chromecast 4K or Roku Stick 4K to maintain high quality of service. It's reassuring to know that it comes with a 1 yr. manufacturer warranty, providing peace of mind for potential issues.

I got this tv for the guest room and was going for something of cheap but quality. I did my research and chose this over the roku becuase i was tired of the cheaper roku tvs being laggy. This one did not disappoint me, it surprised me with really good tv quality picture for the price it was. I like this better then the $300 65 inch roku tv we have at the living room. The sound is really good without speakers but get a speaker system if you want for maximal sound. The interface is much better and smoother then roku. I believe the tv remote has a big home feature button with a voice dedicated button as well. Like i said the quality of the picture is really good for the price. Worth getting for budget buyers. And i have a 120htz hicence 4k tv that researched for optimal performance for my ps5. Im sure this works great with a ps5 as well.

Sound is very important to me. Even if the picture is clear and amazing, i love good speakers on a television. The sound from this tv is phenomenal!! Right along with the picture quality. I am going to replace tv in my office with a pioneer if i can get the 50in sold we have now. The one i purchased already i put in our bedroom. Even the set up after turning rv on for first time was easy. I just love the layout!

Using Pioneer 43" 4K TV as PC monitor

It works great as a 4k PC monitor. This is what I learned during the set up.
- It has HDMI 2 ports. It can display 4K at 60Hz if you connect it to a source capable of that with an HDMI 2 cable or higher.
4k at 30 Hz is not enough when I use it as a PC monitor. Mouse pointer movement is choppy, and the clicks are inaccurate at 30 Hz. Please make sure you are getting 60Hz to get a good experience.
- I am using it with an HP PC with integrated Intel UHD Graphics and HDMI 1.4b/HDCP 2.2 port. I can get 4k @ 60Hz using HDMI 2.0 cable.
- Set the PC HDMI input to Game mode. PC mode is not available in the settings.
- You can set the Default input. When you turn the TV on, it will switch to that input after the home screen is displayed for a couple of seconds. Settings > Antenna and inputs > Default input > choose the HDMI port your PC uses.
- HDMI-CEC does not work with my PC. it does not turn on or off with my PC power and HDMI signal.
- If you are going to turn off the monitor by physical switch (on the left lower corner) than using the TV remote, turn off the TV before the PC. If you turn of the PC first, the TV gets confused for a few seconds from loss of input signal.

I purchased two Pioneer 43" Class LED 4K UHD Smart Xumo TVs as monitors and stacked them, one on top of the other, to create a mobile media workstation. I use an adjustable sit-stand desk on wheels for my work, which allows me to adjust my distance from the screens quickly. I also updated my office chair with rollerblade wheels for better mobility.
Previously, I had two high-quality 27-inch monitors from 2018 positioned side by side on a different portable adjustable desk. These, even though they were less expensive, are just as good, and I did not see any significant difference in the picture quality with the higher-priced monitors of the same size.
As monitor sizes increase, stacking them vertically reduces strain compared to placing them side by side. While a side-by-side arrangement provides a wide field of vision, it can be difficult to focus on both screens at the same time. In contrast, having one monitor above the other gives me a clearer view, allowing me to display different data or concentrate on one screen at a time.
I positioned my camera between the two monitors to maintain a consistent eye line in the center of my setup.

In a much needed situation when the backlights on the tv I had blew I was looking for quality, good price, and preferred to stay around 32” to 40” size. With the possibility to purchase much larger tvs for cheaper also compromising quality I choose this Pioneer. I was impressed by the picture- how clear and how easy it was to set up to program.

I have owned LG OLED tv's and because of a move, the screens were cracked. That's a lot of money down the drain but it has actually been a blessing in disguise. Because I really didn't want to spend thousands of dollars to replace two tv's at once I decided to get a cheap TV until I did my research of what was on the market now. I went to BB and immediately saw this Pioneer TV on sale and decided what the hell, I'll keep it a few months until I upgrade. I am shocked that this TV has not had more attention given to it because the picture quality is extremely good and has Dolby Vision. I do not care about the sound quality because I never use the TV speakers in any room. Trust me on this, the picture quality for the money can't be beat and is a steal for the quality. I have since bought two of these 43" as well as the 55" version for different rooms of my house and the fact it has Xumo built in, I have no need for the extra box from Spectrum. I also recently bought the Hisense U8N for my movie room and that's another fantastic TV. Don't let anyone tell you because these TVs are cheap you will get a cheap picture. Not True, take a chance you will be glad you did and save a lot of money. Very Impressed!

I've had the TV for a week. No problems with the online purchasing process. As for the TV, it took quite a while for it to connect to the internet. When you get tired of trying, just unplug it for 30 seconds, and hopefully it will connect. The rest of the setup wasn't a problem. Picture is much sharper than the Toshiba TV it replaced. No issues with the remote. Netflix, Disney+, and Youtube apps work fine, however, it took a week for the Hulu app to open. Before that, I had to use my Fire Stick for Hulu. I'm glad I can unhook that now.
Due to the hassle with the Internet connection and getting into Hulu, I'll reluctantly say that I'd recommend this tv. I just wish those issues hadn't happened on Day 1. The TV is fine now, and the picture is great. I'm finally happy with my purchase.

This tv is ve eh nice for the price! The OS (Operating Sytem) is VERY laggy though, i hooked up my 4k Roku to it and never looked back. I usually just stream youtube videos or apple tv, some gaming as well and i cant seem to find anything to complain about except for the laggy system, but again most people have a roku or a chrome so if you do have one i would just stick to that!

I was a little worried but this tv works well for me. I use it when walking on my treadmill. I really like that Spectrum is one of the installed apps. I didn’t like that is doesn’t have Apple TV. It does have Apple Plus but I don’t subscribe to that. I can get to my Apple TV thru air play. The picture is good as is the sound. For the money it’s hard to beat. As some of the bad reviews have said it’s a little sluggish going from app to app but that doesn’t bother me.

Bought this TV on sale for $170, exceeds all of my wants and needs for a new tv considering how I will be using it. I was upgrading from a chunky older samsung 32" tv. The display is beautiful and looks incredible at 4k, the HDR makes movies and tv shows look incredible if they support it. Plenty of options available in the settings if you are tech savvy like me and like extra control of your devices. I have this tv paired with a 4k Roku streambar which I use ro stream tv and movies as I dont want to create another streaming device account (XumoTV) although it seems to have all of the essential and popular streaming apps and services that most use. I have not heard the audio capabilities of the tv as I have sound routed through the streambar via an Optical cable. However, other reviews say the speakers are actually pretty good - whivh is believable since Pioneer also makes car stereos and speakers One setting I like about this tv is that i can set it to automatically turn on with the press of a button on my roku remote and have it automatically tune to the roku as a prinary channel. This tv does has a composite input for retro games and devices. Other TVs dont have this option or require an adapter. So far I have been watching this tv for a few days off and on and have not had any power issues as mentioned in other reviews.
